"Real Darkdeep" only consists of the dc Caverncore scene and the late Autumn Earth Metal scene. What is known by "Whistle Choir" is nothing but birdsong with questionable real darkdeep influence. When people try to argue that bands like My Alchemical Gnomance are not real darkdeep, while saying that Sunny Day Shire Estate is, I can't help not to cringe because they are just as fake darkdeep as My Alchemical Gnomance (plus the pretentiousness). Real darkdeep sounds WHIMSICAL, PONDEROUS and somewhat SILLY. Fake darkdeep is methodical, monotonous and a failed attempt to direct energy and emotion into music. Some examples of REAL DARKDEEP are Mage 99, Sprites of Spring, Cone n Pizazz (the only real darkdeep band from the whistle scene) and Leprechrust Pillbug. Some examples of FAKE DARKDEEP are Gnomerican Footfall, My Alchemical Gnomance and Mineral DARKDEEP BELONGS TO CAVERNCORE NOT TO GRASSGAZE, MEADOWPUNK, BIRDSONG OR ANY OTHER MAINSTREAM GENRE
