First signs
Gibbo wasn’t satisfied with that day. Two members of crew - his friends - died, drill was broken, Rennick sent him to solve the problem with Addair but the last one just left him to work alone. Great! Nothing could ruin his day anymore. Well, he thought so.
Anyway imagine this scene:
Gibbo comes down to the sunk room. Nothing foreshadowes trouble. He’s searching for the leak. However he hears splashes behind, seems like somebody walks after him. And he feels goosebumps on the back. He turns around… and doesn’t see anyone. What the…
Gibbo’s trying to stay calm and not to get distracted by any unnatural noises. He checks the pipes and suddenly notices something strange… a handprint on the one of them. Black human handprint as if someone dipped their hand in oil and then touched the pipe. And that’s not the only one: he founds a few more handprints and even dark foot traces. If that’s a joke it’s not funny. Gibbo begins to be paranoid. Someone’s here, he knows, but he doesn’t see them at all. He doesn’t think about the leak yet.
And - what a surprise! - the oil rig worker almost goes grey from fear when he meets Douglas. His friend comes to help him.
“Douglas! What the heck? Did ye really want to scare me? Well, now ye’re happy with yerself, right?”
“What? Gibbo, whatta ye talking about, lad?” - Douglas is at a loss.
“That strange prints all over the room - yer idea?”
“Are ye mad? I didn’t do this, I’ve just come here!”
Gibbo doesn’t believe Douglas and asks him to show hands. Douglas feels angry but raises palms. They are absolutely clean. Gibbo’s shocked.
“Hey, Gibbo, can ye turn yer back?” - Douglas becomes worried. The man does so, and he sees the black handprint spreading over the Gibbo’s uniform.
“Who left this?”
