i never was big into omegaverse BUT i actually love your self-proclaimed 'omegavox cringe'. You draw him so well and it's just great!! Do you have any additional thoughts on it, in general? Have a great day!
(Plus, out of my own curiousity--in the post with him pressing against his back--what does that do? I know so little about a/b/o sorry for asking!!!)
Thank you very much anon. I truly consider it a compliment that people not into omegaverse are finding what I post funny and/or interesting, especially considering I totally lost the plot from a stupid joke.
You can find below the general key points and rules I have for Vox. It's a pick and chose of regular a/b/o stuff and other elements, while trying to make it so it doesn't alter his whole ruthless CEO persona too much.
The omega condition is a rare one inflicted upon random sinners when they get sent to Hell. Recessive genes cross wires during the making of your new body and suddenly you're no longer on the "mammals without estrous cycles" short-list.
Meaning Vincent was a regular human and had to adapt to all this mess when he fell down, on top of the TV head and the general sense of doom from eternal torment.
Pheromones/scent are excreted by special glands commonly found under the silicone skin around his joints, although the biggest one is in his nape, which he has covered with a protective casing.
I'm leaving who can sense his pheromones/scent, who can't, and how badly it affects them up to the sinner's own biology and strength of will. Organic demons like Valentino are highly receptive to it wheras objects-people like Velvette, less so.
Vox is on specialized medication/suppressants (as in: tailored just for him) because of his half organic, half robotic body.
The meds block off all weird quirks his body has ; mainly the scent/pheromones secretions and heats (whether the cyclical ones or the ones that would be triggered by outside influences).
His violent volatile mood swings and general unpredictability would be even worse without the meds, so funnily enough they help with his terrible temper as well.
A break of a couple weeks once a year in the medication has to occur otherwise he gets sick, or worse--they stop working.
Because he blocks everything off with meds, when he gets off them all symptoms come back full force and he's in heat in a couple days.
When that arrives he methodically arranges to take his "two weeks annual off-radar vacation" to go lock himself in a bunker somewhere. Which he of course hides from everyone else.
No mpreg or "bonding that can't ever be broken" stuff. Someone biting his glands would 'only' trigger their activation, even on meds but nothing else (or maybe an unplanned heat), which is why he has the biggest one covered.
He still has some omega instincts despite the medication, like territoriality over their turf and particularly the VVVTower ; as well as the whole den/nest thing which is basically the surveillance room. But that could also be put on the general Vox manic personality.
The itchy back during pre-heat is the body making sure he rubs his scent on every surface available, to mark territory and attract whoever can pick it up and is interested in it.
As for the pressure in the back, it's a relief point he can press to trick his body into thinking he had intercourse. Vox abuses it during pre-heats and there comes a point where it stops being effective.
Needless to say he is of course desperately hiding all of this. Thankfully when he's on his meds there's no telling the difference between him and regular sinners (he's easier to deal with, if anything), so much so that he himself forgets about it.
I love having a normal mainstream bestie because last Friday party, she legit ordered my drunk ass to sit next to her and told me: “Ok, I’ll bite, I see you obsessing over HazbinHotel—tell me about the villain lady or man crush.” (she knows me so well I adore her <3)
So I tell her his name’s Vox, and the direct response is: “What’s non-human about him?” (because, again, she knows me so well <3)
We enter a hot and cold game of “Does he have fur? Scales? Robot? Humanoid at all? Object?” (again, because she—you start to get it)
Until she guesses TV, after which she goes “ok, show me” with the stupidest grin. I show her a screenshot in the white suit, on purpose, because it’s not even the WORST one.
She looks at me and nods, all serious and grave, because she just obtained the confirmation she was after all along: “He is very, very ugly.”
Me: I won’t go too deep into how parasites talk, interact and their overall culture because I don’t wanna do research and I’m not good at coming up with ideas
Also me: so this is how they greet each other and here are the difference in speech between generations-
You know why so many women are angry over this whole sexual harassment thing happening being talked about in the Philippines? Because most women experience it on a daily basis, some of us grew up exposed to this gross and degrading thing at a young age that some folks have the gall to call "acceptable behavior", "a compliment", "an honor" and even "nothing but a joke". Because most of us are victims of sexual harassment just because we are women.
I'm sorry, am I supposed to find being ogled sexually and cat called despite dressing modestly "a compliment"? Am I supposed to be ok with being touched inappropriately and taken advantage of because on the train because "It's not a big deal"? Am I supposed to idly watch as my fellow woman is being degraded by men because "it's just a joke"? Am I supposed to just be "Okay" with something morally wrong and reprehensible?
In our Rizal classes we are taught to read up on Rizal's letter to the young women of Malolos. And in that letter, beyond the traits that mothers and single women should have, beyond speaking of women to take up the ideology of becoming "like women of Sparta" in regards to their children offering their lives to fight for the freedom of our motherland, he brings up that women should fight for their rights, one of which is the right of women to protect their dignity and honor, but we who are victimized are often told to just accept it and move on. Because it's just a joke and women are just reacting too violently to the littlest things. But when a man's honor or dignity is besmirched it is understandable for him to be up in arms about it. Are we so low and looked down upon that when a woman tries to defend her honor, she is silenced by criticism, bullying and even more harassment?
What's sadder in this whole situation is how we victim blame in our society "It's her fault for dressing inappropriately", "She must of done something to deserve what happened to her", "She should of called out for help or protected herself". But the thing is, we speak so easily and nonchalantly about these sorts of things until, God forbid, it happens to our own loved ones. It's sad that the only way we can empathize or understand the victims of these gross behavior is though our own plight or those close to us.
[finally writing a new musing post in months of hiatus. A little speculative natter in regards to Strangelove's family back in England, her relationship with them, why they agreed to send her across the pond and their views in regards to her sexuality. Speculative writing/headcanon stuff basically.]
