Vicariously (vai-care-ee-us-lee). In a way that is experienced in the imagination through the actions of another person.

No “not following the liveblogging/bald/show results” option, since this is for the people following my ISAT liveblogging.

Losange (lo-zahzh). French. A diamond; a rhombus.

Boulanger (boo-lahzh). French. A baker.

Schadenfreude (sha-den-froi-duh). A German word that describes the feeling of joy derived from witnessing another’s pain. Typically not a good trait to have.

Dysphoria (dis-for-ee-uh). The big suckiness. As defined by the Oxford Dictionary of English, “A state of unease or generalize dissatisfaction with life.” The opposite of euphoria. Often conflated with gender dysphoria.

Comes from the Greek word dusphoria, from dusphoros “hard to bear”. How poetic.

Skosh (skosh*). A small amount of something; a little bit. From the Japanese 少し (sukoshi), which sounds very similar due to the /u/ and /i/ undergoing vowel deletion when spoken.
