CBSE HAS AGAIN REMOVED IMPORTANT CHAPTER FROM SECONDARY SCHOOL SYLLABUS
Central Board of Secondary education (CBSE) has decided to clutter five chapter from class 10 standard Social science syllabus.It includes 5 chapters viz. Democracy and Diversity, Popular struggle and Movements, Challenges to Democray, Forest and wildlife and Water Resources. List of Chapters Removed Democracy and DiversityPopular struggle and Movements Challenges to DemocracyForest and wildlifeWater resources As you should note that previously, CBSE has also removed chapters of 9th standard includes viz. Democracy in the Cotemporary world , caste conflict and struggles of the so-called ‘lower caste’ Nadar women of Travancore, who were forced to keep their upper bodies uncovered . Although CBSE stated it as This move, as per the Board, has been taken as a part of the ‘curriculum rationalisation exercise’ that has been undertaken by the Human Resource Development Ministry and will help “reduce the burden and pressure of the curriculum on the students”. Educational Experts have said that, it is not well decision taken by CBSE because , we should include these chapter in syllabus so that children could get aware of our past and struggle. CBSE stated that , we are evaluating our courses and curriculum under PISR ( programme for international student assesment) . we may change some more syllabus and curriculum in future .
