At the protest yesterday in solidarity with Baltimore. And as usual we shut N. High St. down marching through gallery hop, held a sit-in at the intersection of N. High St and Goodale Ave, then marched all the way back down N. High Street to the Union. The Columbus Police Dept. rode alongside us on their bikes and injured 2 protestors that I know of by cutting the protestors' legs with their bike. #BlackLivesMatter #BaltimoreSpring #BaltimoreUprising #Cbus2Ferguson #OSU

The protest today was so great in so many ways. We had so many people, so many people who saw us, so many people who supported us along the way-- shoutout to the bus driver who stopped his bus and got out to raise his fist in the air with us -- and overall I think it was very productive. I think we actually had the number of people who said they were going on facebook, which was almost 600--if not more.

There were so many people from so many different walks of life and it was so heartening. And personally, I used this time to scream all my emotions and pent up anger in protest chants. It was so productive and was for such a good cause and I feel so much better for it.

#Cbus2Ferguson was great tonight. Remember y'all, bring water and if you can afford it bring some for others. You can go into any food place and refill a bottle for free (and maybe convince others to join!)

Bring a mask, a bandana, something. The less the police know about you the better. Turn your phones to airplane mode, police have been known to collect information that way.

It is in your legal limits to film the police, and that scares them. If you see them harassing one of your fellow people film them, yell at them, do whatever you think will stop them.

And remember, The People United Will Never Be Defeated. See you next week, bring your friends

#CBUS2Ferguson Sit-In for Baltimore

Columbus area followers: There will be a sit-in at The Ohio State University Saturday, May 2nd to show solidarity with the people of Baltimore.

There will also be a march in the Short North at 6 pm starting at the Ohio Union the same day.
