At little over five days ago University of Missouri (Mizzou) students including about 30 football players protested, refused to play and at one student staged a hunger strike. The students demanded the resignation of the school president in responseto rising racial tension, racist slurs and other slights directed towards the university's maginalized student population, articularly its Black students. Students all across the nation especially in Chicago know that what happened at Mizzou is not a isolated incident, it is the status quo at many Universities and colleges.
