No we shouldn't idolize and hold CCs to a higher standard than ourselves. And we shouldn't demand perfection from them. But if what they are doing or saying is harming people, the least we can do is make it clear we don't support that.

And like, example:

Recently when asked about Zombiecleo's pronouns, Impulse said he didn't want to get into it (the topic) because it was divisive. Later on he apologized for it, and he apologized well, imho. He didn't make an excuse, but clarified he had worded things poorly. When I presume someone asked about a potential MAGA mod, he clarified that that person was not his mod. (I'm assuming someone asked, because I don't understand why he would have clarified if that was not the case. I don't have Twitter so I've only been able to see and confirm individual posts when I click on links)

So no, I have nothing against Impulse, and no reason to hold a grudge.

However the Skizz situation, especially after the sexism of judging a girl for the amount of makeup she wears, only rings worse as time goes on and there is nothing done.

However when Grian talks about supporting the queer community and then lives and breathes Harry Potter in the next sentence, it leaves a dark aftertaste in my mouth.

Why can we not talk about this without fear of being harrassed by fans who claim to support us?

I would recommend watching These Videos by Jessie Gender and Princess Weekes to start out with. If you have time to be this fucking stupid on a post of mine, you have time to listen to them. And hey, Princess Weekes is cis you might be more willing to listen to what she has to say than me, your local genderfluid tumblr user. <3

Let's get into Why I think like this.

Disclaimer: I'm not saying that content creators all need to read, watch, and write unproblematic shit. But when a content creator is promoting, especially the new Harry Potter stuff, that is a red flag. <3

First of all, I did Not say that Grian was homophobic or transphobic. I said I didn't know if that's the case.

Yes, he has done charity streams for queer non-profits. But him consistently bringing up Harry Potter taints that for me for many reasons. Now I would like to believe that Grian's not either of those things, for my sake. But I'm not going to say he's not because I don't know him.

Personally, I'm really hoping that his choosing to engage with Harry Potter and new Harry Potter stuff is out of ignorance. Maybe he 100% Truly Does Not Know about the fact that JKR takes any and all support she gets to strip trans rights for individuals. Maybe he 100% Truly Does Not Know that so many trans people are hurt by her. I'm going to give him the benefit of the doubt for this post...

But you, the person who came into My House and Plastered your love for Harry Potter all over it? I'm not going to be that nice. Because based on your reply you clearly know she's doing harm to my trans siblings. That she tells my trans sisters that they aren't welcome in spaces for women. That she tells my trans brothers to detransition because they're confused and betraying women.

So many people were disappointed in JKR, in what she said online. So many people who grew up on Harry Potter have had to throw this once beloved series away because of her bigotry, because of her hate.

Note that I did Not say:

that anyone who has ever enjoyed Harry Potter ever is queerphobic.

However, it is concerning when a Content Creator who is online enough to know there is a new Harry Potter series coming out is actively talking about it. It is concerning when they yap about Harry Potter so much the fans make memes about it instead of choosing not to engage with it. It is concerning when someone who says they are not queerphobic, goes around and promotes everything Harry Potter in his videos.

Also there are plenty of people who enjoyed the books before the author came out as a hateful bigot. Because guess what, I enjoyed them until I got social media and found out that she's not a great person. It kind of taints the books when the author is alive and telling you to kys. <3

Note that I did Not say:

That liking just a kids story about wizards makes someone queerphobic.

Unfortunately Harry Potter is Not just a kids story about wizards. Sorry to burst that bubble for you (not really). It is a way in which the author makes money in order to perpetuate and spread hate. She spreads hate through sales of her book, which go up when people talk positively about it. She spreads hate through sales of the old movies, which go up when people talk positively about it. She'll spread hate through sales of the new movies, which will go up if people talk positively about them. She'll spread hate through sales of the new audio books, which will go up if people talk positively about them.

And before anyone misconstrues this as well I do not accuse the actors of the old movies to be queerphobic. Many of them have gone on to be pro-trans and pro-queer rights and cutting off ties with JKR. I do not accuse people who have bought, read, and loved the books before she was openly bigoted to be queerphobic. Until she started doing all this bullshit, it was just a kids book about wizards, the way she warped it over time is unfair to everyone who loved the series.

Unfortunately that has been warped and twisted by her views and JKR's spread of hatred towards trans people is more important than a book about wizards that you used to love.

Okay so I just found out via looking through Yuki's YouTube that Grian was one of his rps in like. June 2017. (Very minor role but still) And he managed to end up playing another morally questionable, more sensible than average but still a freak guy. And honestly it was a vibe (also for anyone who doesn't know, cc!Yuki is a trans guy and his pronouns are he/him. c!Yuki is still she/her, from Yuki's Twitter)

Hello people on the watcher!grian agenda.

I would like to point out that grian still works on the Wynn craft server. In one of the updates about updating a certain area on the map quite recently including it’s quests. I would like to point out that mr cc grian himself was the head/supervisor in redoing and revamping the quests. The quests in wynncraft is what basically and essentially give that server lore. (Well quests head n like lead most of the lore on the server from what I know).

In conclusion mans does a good chunk of lore on the Wynn server.

Grian does lore guys pls he’s good at it. Grian please we are begging for watcher!grian crumbs please we know you can do lore and are aware of fandom stuff please.
