#cc chapter 22

I know R in CC would probably be too self conscious at the min for this but I’ve been head-cannoning that they would be extra attached to Bluebell for the next few days - they would need to bring her to breakfast for example. Nat and Wanda are so cool about it and don’t mention it until R has to go out to meet Kate and Wanda sees how anxious R is to leave Bluebell so suggests Bluebell *works’ with her in her home office and this way Wanda can keep an eye on her and makes sure Bluebell ‘doesn’t get up to any mischief’ and if thats follwed up with a light warning to R that she shouldn’t get up to mischief either and to ‘be good’ too when she goes out….well GAHHHH. Eventually when R is more comfy, Nat is definitely known to do ‘voices’ for some of the new stuffies they buy her.

When I first read this I thought “this is unbearably cute and I wish I could write this, but they are right, reader would be too scared to do that just yet”. But now that I’m writing the chapter it seems you have influenced me, sneaky anon 😭

There may just be some elements of this in chapter 23… 👀💕

Hi Mina!!!! I loved the latest chapter of CC, it was just what I needed to read today, I needed some soft wandanat hurt/comfort. I wanted to ask, can we please see what the rabbit who inspired Bluebell looks like??

This is Bluebell. Her fur is still a bit worse for wear after the washing machine incident of 2020, but she’s hanging on. The inside of her ears and the bottom of her paws have this floral fabric, hence her name. All my stuffed toys have names (though as you can tell, they’re not necessarily very original!) ♡

I am such a Wanda girl but imagining Nat hairdrying Bluebell 😍😍😍 has R realised though that Bluebell will now smell like Wanda - worthy trade off perhaps?!

Nat definitely researched what to do and made sure to do everything by the book. Gently towelling Bluebell off and pressing the water out of her without being too rough... Drying her off with the hairdryer on a gentle setting… Carrying her up the stairs, cupped in her hands like she was holding something fragile… 😭

In my head, Nat has never had a soft toy, but she remembers Yelena being very fond of one when they were little. And she knows from R’s reaction that this rabbit must be very important. So she does what she can to fix the problem… sadly missing the fact that poor R just needed a hug first of all 🥺.

It is a worthy trade off, you are right! Though sadly Bluebell will never be the same texture, no matter how much R combs her fur. I know because it happened to my Bluebell a few years ago, and she’s still not the same 🥲.

Seeing a new update absolutely made my day today, especially because you updated overnight for me so I saw the notification as I was getting ready for work. I spent my entire day at work SO excited to get home and read. It absolutely lived up to the hype I created each time I opened my emails

Mina, I think ch 22 is going to be one of the chapters I’ll reread a lot for the comfort!! At first, I thought that Natasha came in the room after Y/n was crying but as soon as you described “warmth” I knew it was Wanda!! I literally felt the comfort that Wanda was giving Y/n!! And then later when y/n wanted Wanda to lie down with her!! Hot take, but I think that’s more significant than Wanda saying “mommy loves you”. I really enjoyed this chapter, it was so well written!! 😍

also will Wanda ever call herself (or maybe y/n calls her) mama? Please please please say yes!! 😔🙏🙏

I love that you could tell who it was who entered the room from that description! And I fully agree, that moment was so huge for reader, even if she doesn't see it yet (Wanda certainly did, she was screaming with excitement inside, I can assure you).

I'm so glad you liked it! And as for titles... I am kinda set on mommy for Wanda and mama as Nat's soft name, but maybe reader could use the title for both in certain situations, or there could be a variant for Wanda. I'll definitely think about it!

Aaaaaahhhh chapter 22 was sooo lovely!!! WandaNat are so so sweet to their totally-not-daughter… Nat carefully drying off Bluebell made my heart flutter, she’s such a considerate mama!! (and I do hope you go with Mama for Nat, your piece Mama Choose fully sold me on that title for her!) Thank you for the wonderful update :) — 🐛

I'm so glad you enjoyed it! They really love their totally-not-girlfriend totally-not-daughter so much already. And Nat is such a softie at heart, even though she doesn't see herself as such. Reader is pulling out so many ✨feelings✨ from her, poor thing!

I do indeed plan to use the mama title in future. Though Natasha likes things to have a clear split in terms of roles/titles so in sexual situations she will have a different title too.

i love how soft they are with each other and how slowly you are building the tension between them, buuuuuut I'm a bolter through and through, and my only thoughts while i'm reading the new chapters is how insanely devastating it will be when R finally goes back to her apartment to try to preserve some semblance of independence, i mean not that i think Wanda would let her go easily but the angst would be so good i have chills thinking about it
