“He’s what?”

“Moving in with me.”

Albus blinks. “Scorpius Greengrass slash Malfoy?” He asks. Karl nods. “Is moving in with you?”

“That is exactly what I just said.” Karl says, throwing a chunk of bread at Albus.

“But why?” Albus asks, popping the bread into his mouth as he stirs sugar into the three mugs of tea he prepares.

Karl quietly thanks him as he takes one of the mugs, cradling it in his hands despite the warmth and the steam pouring from the top. “Because he has nowhere to live, he wants to start fresh, and I literally can’t afford another month paying rent in my flat unless I split it with someone,” he explains, dunking a biscuit into his drink. “He’s also a nice person, so.”

“I disagree.”

“No, you’re just salty that he didn’t sleep with you on that boat.”

“I feel like you have brushed over the fact that he was in a relationship far too easily.”

there's been some next gen hcs floating around my dash recently and i thought i'd join in!! as someone who has No Clue about the cc characters, this is what they exist like in my brain until someone guides me in the right direction

polly chapman:

girlboss energy

probably has a messy home life

her hair always looks really good and she smells fruity. bath and body works lotion energy

probably is a little fruity

not super academic but would be the type to get aggressive ab kahoot

i thought she was a hufflepuff until last week

karl jenkins:

short stocky has a crew cut

possible himbo

dating yann fredericks

would be a beater but there are too many damn weasleys in gryffindor and he can't get a spot on the quidditch team

has a stuffed animal in the bottom of his trunk that he treasures very dearly

yann fredericks:

tall skinny would fall over in the wind

pines for karl even though they're actively dating

(karl is like ??? hello i love you ??? are you okay??)

very academic!!

i also thought he was a hufflepuff until last week and i actually reject the notion that he is a gryffindor

This whole "making CC gayer and give Scorbus more couply moments" will mean absolutly nothing if Dumbledore and Grinderwald aren't confirmed as canonically exes in the next Fantastic Beasts movies.

I'm just simply stopping by to post two little snippet that I have written quite a while ago about Molly, Hugo and Karl in the Hufflepuff common room. I like to think that Karl and Hugo have a friendship in which Karl has taken Hugo under his wing, with the idea of wanting to guide them through Hogwarts Life. Instead Hugo is usually looking out for their friend instead. The second snippet is hidden behind the 'keep reading' button for those interested! 🦡✨

Karl lets himself fall into the armchair with an exasperated sigh. His head is resting on one of the armrests and his legs are draped over the other. His eyes are covered by one of his hands.

Hugo looks up from their book, their eyebrows raised as the hint of a smile lays around their lips at the dramatic entrance of his friend.

‘What has gotten into you?’ they ask.

Karl uncovers one of his eyes, looking at his friend before letting out another sigh.

‘I just can’t seem to win wizarding chess from Craig,’ he mumbles, voice muffled from the sleeve of his robes covering his face. ‘He’s too good.’ There’s a pause before he speaks again. ‘Or maybe I’m just terrible.’

‘Oi! Little Jenkins, watch out!’ Molly Weasley II calls out as Karl Jenkins stumbles into the Hufflepuff common room, nearly knocking into her and her cup of tea, one that her cousins always say is ‘almost as big as her own head’.

Karl looks up at her, brushing his hair out of his face. There’s a pout on his face and a frown on his forehead. ‘You’re aware that we’re the same age right, Molly June?’

‘We’re the same age yet you wouldn’t think that when looking at behaviour,’ Molly says.

She presses her book to her chest with her upper arm so she can reach for Karl. She pinches his cheek lightly as she tries her best not to burst out into laughter at Karl’s face. Scrunched up as he tries to work out what she had said, if it was a good or a bad thing.

He can hear someone chuckling from behind him and as he turns around his eyes find Hugo sitting in the biggest armchair in the common room. The big armchair makes them look even smaller than they already are and it’s quite endearing to Karl.

‘Did she just call me childish?’ Karl asks as he takes place on the armrest.

Hugo shrugs, their eyes glued to the pages of their book. Karl pushes them lightly, trying to get their attention to him other than the book in their hands.

‘Hugo!’ he pokes their shoulder repeatedly. ‘Hugo. Did she just call me childish?’

Hugo looks up, their eyebrows raised as they look at the finger still poking their shoulder. Then up to Karl, whose face is still scrunched up in confusion.

‘Karl, as your friend but also as Molly’s cousin, I can not comment on this.’

Karl crosses his arms in front of his chest as he lets himself fall onto the couch in front of the fireplace. He looks at the fire that’s calmly burning.

‘Karl,’ Hugo says, their face serious. ‘Do you really have to ask me as if she calls you childish when this is what you do when you don’t get your way?’

Karl opens his mouth, wanting to say something. Reply with something witty, tell Hugo that he wasn’t acting childish - but he knew.

Cursed Child Background Character Fics

A few months ago now I made two posts recommending some Cursed Child background character fics that I felt deserved the recognition and love that they sometimes don’t get (link to original posts below). I recommended fics from different authors about a variety of characters and it was so lovely to see those fics get even a little bit more hype!

In those posts I decided to not include my own fics and put light on other authors I love and give their works instead of putting light on my own. I’ve never been one to promote my own fic and have always preferred to promote other’s instead ! I’ve now decided to share my own in a different post in case any would like to read any of them and dive into more of these background characters
