How long will your plots last for?

Plots will generally last for a month, though a plot thread is free to continue for however long it needs to. We are monitoring the current plot threads and seeing when players naturally start to finish up their threads. We’ll be adapting to the player base and will release the next part of the plot when there is a need for it.

What is the average lifespan of a mermaid? Given that they hatch from eggs, do they have a different "child" form?

Mermaids lifespan is slightly longer than that of the average human, they age slower and on average live to about 100. 

They hatch looking like mermaids, however they are significantly smaller than human children. Merfolks' eggs are similar to pearls in size and appearance which means baby merfolk are no bigger than a pearl when they hatch. Baby merfolk also cannot change their tail to legs. This is a skill they will learn when they get older.

Hello! I have a question. I am considering joining this RPG but I wanted to ask anyway - is any other supernatural species allowed (like demon, angel etc) along with what you have on your resident thing? Thank you!

At the moment, other supernatural species exist, but you cannot play as one of them. For example your character may have a pet pheonix. Or they might be hunted by demons, but you cannot play as those species.

If you do choose to write about species not on the species list you need to be aware that there may be some inconsistencies between what you write about a certain species and what other plays write about them. e.g. in your thread you write that demons have red eyes and are humanoid, but another player writes that demons are small black imp-like creatures in their thread with someone else.

Usually these inconsistencies can be explained by thinking of the two as different variation of that species. Makes sure if you are going to roleplay with someone about a species not listed you let the other player know all the rules established in previous threads about that species before you start writing with them. That way it will b easier on the other player and ensure that you’re both writing about the same creature.
