The great deal about her job was that she got to kick ass. It was out of nowhere kickassing, too, which was even better. She was simply hanging out at the library - not actually reading anything, but sitting there with her laptop to make good use of the free wifi - when a monster decided to attack the public environment. Needless to say the upset expression over stupid game requests that lingered on her face quickly turned into a bright smile upon seeing such destruction.

While all the people ran towards the exit Jisoo went deeper into the shelves so she could transform in peace. Unlike the leader of her team she didn’t need to go screaming any cheesy sentences to unluck her powers, so it happened without bringing much attention. As soon as she got her weapon, though, the girl didn’t even bother being sneaky. The warhammer swung around mercilessly until the thing was eventually defeated. There was no one else inside to see her amazing feat, yet it didn’t stop her from feeling good about herself.

Jisoo then transformed back to her human form and placed the messenger bag over her shoulder. At first she thought about going back to her laptop and continuing with her life, but decided it would be better to let citizens know everything was fine. She walked outside, raised her hands next to her mouth and screamed “It’s dead!” before turning around and walking back inside. Hopefully the internet was still working.

yoongi has always preferred the company of animals to people, just because he finds it awfully easier to interact with them. you don’t have to do a lot of talking (you don’t have to talk at all if you don’t want to, but who doesn’t talk to animals anyway?) and you can never go wrong with a little bit of petting to keep them happy. indeed, animals were one of yoongi’s many soft spots, particularly cats. there’s just something charming about them, especially those who approach you with purring and leg rubs and the softest of meows. 

that was the reason yoongi went out of his way to stop on the corner of the sidewalk and crouch down to pet a cat that had meowed towards him, scratching gently behind its ear while the feline basked in his attention. that was, until it seemed to sense someone else and very quickly so dropped its attention on yoongi to make its way towards a girl nearby that yoongi had failed to notice before, meowing at her with another sense of confidence that it did not have with him. “ah,” he stands back up, also taking note of how they were next to a park where lots of people took their pets for regular walks; he could only assume, then. “is this your cat?” he asks, quietly so, pointing towards the animal that seemed really content around the girl.

Fingers brushed along the spines of well-kept books, his footstep silent. Knowledge gazed around, a silent breath leaving him. The library in his mind would have been a thousand times larger than the amount of books here, a constant struggle for him to not get lost in his own head.

Moving past the shelves, a grin reappeared on his face, his prey found.

A quick run, and he literally slid in front of her. His trademark grin framed by his beard greeted the female.

“Hey... Is it me? Or is it dark in here?” He asked, immediately laughing at his own joke. “I kid. Hey, pretty... Got sometime for some knowledge?” He continued, wiggling his brows.

what lingers in the night

soojung didn’t care how corny it felt to think or say it, but the night was theirs. 

the two girls were arm in arm, walking down the streets of the city with neon lights illuminating their every feature. they looked like night and day, soojung with her white hair and subin with her black, but don’t let that fool you. the two were children of the night- no. the night was theirs.

darkness and a phantom went together hand in hand. she was the creature that lingered in her darkness, and she was nothing without darkness to linger in. they were two out of three of a dark trinity.

soojung gave her ‘unnie’s’ arm a squeeze as they walked in step, grinning widely. “what do you want to do first?? can we give in just a little.. i haven’t really since we were put away in our paper prisons..” 

the phantom never felt more alive as her own deadly self when she was with her counterparts.

as required for a small, out of the way shop, joonmyeon often does some simple advertising for carnation. his favourite is to hand out roses to sweet people in the nearby library; they seem to accept it better than anyone else anywhere else he’s tried, and the tranquil atmosphere allows him to forget about his worries about the possible end of his business for at least a few moments.

today’s gifts are bright gerbera, the varied and vivid colours hopefully eye-catching and memorable enough to tempt a few new customers to his store. while joonmyeon’s favourite part of flower arranging is the meaning behind each piece of flora, he reasons that it’s fine to sacrifice some deeper thought for a better chance at success.

he’s always quiet and careful when he enters the library -- any sharp movement never fails to make him feel like an intruder -- and turns to offer a smile to the old lady he knows as the owner, but. oh. there’s someone very different. a much younger girl sits behind the counter, and joonmyeon’s a little intimidated; what if she isn’t as generous as the one he was accustomed to, and he’s thrown out at first sight?

a deep breath fills his lungs and he straightens his posture before approaching the desk, an innocent smile already spread on his lips. “hello, miss,” he starts, back bending with a slight bow before he pulls a flower out of the bouquet in his hands to offer to the stranger. “i usually come here to advertise my shop -- is that okay?”

5. Firm kiss

“Ah- honey!” 

Yes, Jimin was an asshole. Yes, Jimin only cared about himself, but there were some lines that anyone should draw for themselves and the six-footer hovering over this girl and wow, he’s not just an asshole, he’s dangerous. 

Jimin acts without thinking most of the time and this is no different as he slides up to her, arm slipping easily around her waist and putting himself between her and the other man. Casting a glance over his shoulder, Jimin really tried his hardest to look bigger and more intimidating than he actually was (but there’s also only so much you can do covered in glitter with smudged makeup and hickeys all down your neck. He didn’t make a very convincing boyfriend.) 

But it seems to be enough-- that or the guy just wasn’t looking to put up much of a fight for this whole thing because he was scoffing, spitting something about ‘bitches be crazy’ before turning and stalking off probably to prey on some other girl, cutting suspicious and curious glances over his shoulder every once in a while. 

Rolling his eyes, Jimin turned, hands cupping her cheek as he leaned down (see there was an aspect of show to everything.) and pressing soft lips to hers in a hopefully convincing kiss. When he pulled back he flicked his gaze over and thankfully the guy was thoroughly uninterested now. 

“You have to be more careful around these kinds of streets-- don’t you know that? Not everyone is as nice as me.”

drunk disasters;

another bad day leads to another night full of drinks to try and forget everything about it. this was nothing new for ricky, sadly. he would always go to this bar whenever he was feeling down. sometimes, he would stay and have a chat with his drinking partner, jongin. at other times, when he was not there, he would forget about getting a drink and go to the back of the bar to meet up with baekhyun and smoke with him.

though, there were nights when he was just left alone with no one waiting for him outside in the back and no one sitting next to him to drink with. tonight happened to be one of those nights where he had to be drinking by himself, throwing glares at anyone who would even think of trying to make a move on him or start an unwanted conversation. he sighs sadly before going on his phone to see if he had received any text messages from a few acquaintances, people he wouldn’t exactly call friends yet, and his favorite little shits. to his disappointment, he had gotten none and he sighs before putting his phone back into his pocket and grabbing his beverage to continue drinking it.

who knows how many bottles he’s had? he wasn’t even keeping count. he obviously had a bit more than what he could handle. with the alcohol taking action, he couldn’t help but look around the bar for some weird reason. it takes him a while until he notices a girl who seemed to be sitting at a table by herself. and of course, having no other people to go to, his drunken state thought he might as well make a new friend to talk about how much his life sucks to someone else just in case his two friends weren’t there. so, he thought he might as well try. he stood up from his seat near the bar and walked over to her table before taking a seat.

“hey, wanna be a pal and hear about my day?” he says, slurring his words. what the hell was he doing honestly?
