Moodboard: Always Conflicted, Always A Libra.

hesitation, the only aspect that she stays true to - she’s the epitome of it. you can’t ask her to decide right away, or else she’ll most likely fuck everything up. yes, with just a simple shake of head, she can misinterpret and go her own way all together. that’s why, she needs a guide - someone to help her make decisions; someone who can help her become more logical; someone who can control her abrupt moodswings.

…like from centuries ago…

One slow blink was all the response the female had gotten from him at first; although he did try to sense her, in which he would have been able to pinpoint her in less than ten seconds had he been sober, Leo had no idea who the girl was. But she’s a card - he knew that much. The only question left was which. But then again, he wouldn’t think about that yet - not now.

She grinned, and he returned it a moment after.

“A reunion…” the words trailed off his lips as he followed his impulsive thought and planted a soft, fleeting kiss on the female’s lips - almost teasing in the move itself.

He didn’t know why.

“…sounds perfect.”

“oh god,” were the only words that escaped her lips, grabbing his hand and taking him away from the crowd; away from the rest of the world; to where they both want to be right now - alone.

pulling him into a deserted hallway, she smashes her lips against his immediately after pulling him in - a strong feeling taking over her whole body. yes, familiarity - something that might not be as good as she thinks; but who in their tipsy mind thinks twice about fucking a hot guy ?

that was what she wanted - to feel the pleasure of humans; to feel what they feel towards an attraction of their’s. “holy shit, we might regret this,” she finally voiced out, breaths shallow and quick due to the fact that she just spoke after a pretty intense session.

There’s a tingle then a glow of magic that emits from their joined hands as the physical connection seals their magical one. Watching the magic come to life, JB feels both in awe and relieved to know that Anthea does trust him enough to do this. His cards have never been merely his possessions; more than anything, they are his friends and are extremely valuable to him. When the light disappears, he knows that the sealing is complete, her powers are now sealed into the card that objectifies in his pocket available only for her to use when he summons her. 

“Please don’t call me master or anything like that.” The title makes him uncomfortable and he shakes his furiously to show it. He lets her hand go and smiles at her, both thankful and appreciative that she let him do this. “Just JB is fine or Jaebum if you feel like it.”

 “Nothing changes remember?”

“oh,” she laughs, “jaebum it is, then.” she nodded, a smirk forming on her lips, “or maybe.. oppa?” she suggested, partially joking; partially meaning it. making people cringe is her specialty, as well as doing the opposite of what she was suggested to do - jaebum knows that himself. she wants the tension to disappear completely - wanting the air to not be as serious as it was a while ago. pretty childish of her to wish for - but it’s still a wish that wants to be granted; and so she’ll grant it herself.

“what do i even do?” she asked, “do you sing something or call my name to make me magically appear by your side?” yes, she was going there. she needed to know as much as possible, the reason being so that she doesn’t get confused - like how she is now.

“I’m not sure if we’ve met… have we?”

yuna stared - trying to remember the face and this ... feeling. a frown gracing her features, she tries to pinpoint him. “i feel like i’ve known you from before... like from centuries ago.” she let herself slip - maybe because she was drunk ? or maybe because he was actually someone she knew from when the monsters reigned ?

“well,” she shrugged, a mischievous grin settling on her lips, “how about a reunion?” she raised a brow, looking up at the taller one. yes, she was drunk - and yes, she’d probably regret something from tonight; but for now, she’s gonna enjoy the feeling of being free.

even if he was a captor; she didn’t care. but if he was a card - what a marvelous surprise !

At the end of the day, cards and heroes are all just pieces on Aku’s chessboard. No matter what principles they stand for or who they fight for, everything still returns to the wizard; they’re all linked to him whether they like it or not. But JB knows what it’s like to fear for your life, to feel confused and uncertain which is why he makes it his mission to help those who are in the darkness. He is far from what magical boys are supposed to be but still he tries his best because there’s love in his heart and not a lust for power. 

“You will be free to live your life, Anthea. Nothing will be taken away from you.” He starts, lowering is sword and offering him a gentle gaze as he holds his hand out, a silent invitation for her to continue trusting him. “I just ask for one thing and that is your loyalty. That’s it. I am not going to hurt you.”

anthea is reluctant. she’s unsure, whether or not this was all a bluff - but she trusts jaebum, taking his hand. “you better be telling the truth,” she spoke with a glare set on her face - before giving a small smile. this better be a good decision, and the other better keep his word. even though she spoke of it as a joke, she means it. “this makes you... my master in some way?” she tilts her head, not sure on what to think of him anymore.

“do i call you something else now or something?” she asked another question, confusing herself. obviously, she was new to this whole card-captor relationship thing - so she’s quite unsure of what to do.

Hearing her sniffle, Jaebum softens though his gaze remains cold as ice. He may have a soft spot for crying girls but he simply cannot let his guard down that quickly. The grip on his sword is still tight but he no longer wields it as if to hurt the girl in front of him. No, hurting her is the last of his intentions for he simply wants to understand and iron out the conflict, hopefully without having to resort to violence. 

“I’m not going to hurt you, Anthea.” His words are sincere and true. “I have never treated cards as mere objects and you can be assured that no harm will come to you under my protection. But you have to understand this: out here, there are so many things that can hurt and destroy you. I may be a cardcaptor but I was once your friend too, remember? It doesn’t have to change just because of this.”

anthea looks up, a glint in her eyes, “are you sure? about things staying the same? am i safe?” she asked, the shakiness in her voice very evident. she was very concerned about how things will end up. yes, she trusts jaebum, but that doesn’t stop her from worrying; her whole mind in a buzz. she just can’t help it - she hated the centuries she served in the small slip of paper.

“will you trap me?” her voice rose, obviously freaking out. she hated the idea - i mean, who thought it was great to seal them into cards ? wouldn’t it have been better to have them permanently removed from the world ?

she was scared.

Zodiac Card. It’d been a long time since she came to encounter one of them. Without further hesitation, the girl turned into her phantom form, moving as fast as the wind the dove had rode on. Spirit magic had told her where the man was, to which she gave signal to the bird.

Soojung went through buildings and walls like they were nonexistent to her, stopping feet away from the robber. An invisible wall knocked him back flat on his back as Soojung’s hands were held up in front of her, watching the asshole with a glare.

“Remember me?”

landing lightly and transforming back to yuna, she walks over to the small scene, snatching her and the phantom’s purse from the robber’s clutches. “no one robs people anymore, you asshole!” she shrieks, kicking their side. she flips them off, before looking up at the phantom card with a smile.

she takes light steps, reaching the hand with the other’s purse out, “i’m choi yuna, by the way. pleased to make your acquaintance.” she introduces herself, despite the fact that they were in such a shady place. “we make a good team,”

yuna tensed at his words, turning to him with her eyes wide. “you know something?” she asked, her palms clamming up. does he know she’s a card ? is he a captor ? is he another card ?

her mind is running a marathon full of curiosities, she’s about to explode. she can’t answer them all; he won’t give answers easily; and she can’t read the person in front of her. although, it seems that he’s trying to get some specific reaction from her - to which it’s working like a charm.

“aren’t you human?” she blurted, not being able to control herself. she hated the feeling of vulnerability - hence the reason why she asks about so many things; to avoid the specific and pointed questions at her.

how ironic for her to say; since it isn’t really fair for the other party. (libras are all about the balance)

yuna and taehyung weren’t exactly friends, but they didn’t hate each other either - but sometimes, they can’t help but start a war between themselves; both having different opinions and routines.

these instances are quiet often, since it’s their current situation. they were fighting over which one gets the last strawberry milk - in a fucking convenience store; and both weren’t giving up on the precious drink from heaven. 

“why can’t you just stop being so selfish for once?!” she yelled, pulling the milk to her side. “why don’t you stop being a bitch, yeah?!” the boy retaliated, earning some unwanted attention. what was once a small meet up, turned into an all out war between the two souls. offended, yuna kicked his shin and snatched the milk away, “fucking take what you said back!”

she moved to hit him, only to end up tripping and falling with a loud thud. feeling a supposed bag of chips hit her head, her eyes are shut as she feels the impact; but that wasn’t the only feeling she felt. she felt something on her lips, and it wasn’t the floor. 

slowly opening her eyes, she lets out a shriek as sits back up - finding herself sitting on taehyung. “holy shit we just kissed!” she freaked out, gagging and pretending to vomit. “are you dead? oh shit!”

“wrong answer,” he declared lowly, his hands tightening around his sword, ready to pounce himself.

his seething expression cracked, disintegrating and leaving behind a shocked one, his scowl in place but his eyes wide, defensive questions poised at the tip of his tongue, on slightly parted lips. how could she know? how could she possibly know? his one vulnerability struck at the very core of him was enough to make the most generic question seem pointed, shaped, made just to aim at him. bullseye. 

“i’m the one asking the questions,” he uttered strongly, after putting his stony mask back in place, trying his best to compose himself and pretend his faltering had never even occurred, “not you.”

“true” yuna nodded in agreement, creating an airball and sitting down, “fire away - or are we gonna fight?” she asked, crossing her arms and raising a brow. she probably seems like she’s bullshitting the guy - which is part of the truth; but she’s never seen a magical hero so upfront before, so she was quiet curious.

she wanted to ask her own questions; to ask him what it’s like to be able to kill something everyone is scared of; to ask him if he’s okay with being a magical hero; to ask him if he’s feeling okay about his whole situation. she wanted to know about the events prior to this one - to be able to see a different view.

that, of course, was just a bunch of lies to him - the person trying to kill her.

yes, she gets what he’s trying to protect - human kind - but she wants him to understand what it’s like to her too, y’know.

“how about we play twenty questions? or am i dying tonight?” she kept questioning, her eyes full of wonder. she was getting impatient and tired, hesitant to make a move herself - because she really didn’t want to fight today.

not right now.

the silence was broken as her stomach makes a sudden small sound, throat parched and everything. “if you are killing me; please let me eat first - i don’t want to die hungry. like, i’ll give you my phone number and everything!” she begs, already transforming back to her disguise - choi yuna.

she picks up the hairpin, the one that used to be a dagger, and puts it into her sweater pocket - where the other one was. “i’m sorry; you have to hear me saying dumb shit - it ruins my scary image, as a card.” she remarks, her legs itching to sit back down. 

“fuck, just get this over with.”

it was a spur of the moment - yuna drunk as fuck and dancing the night away. enjoying her time at the club, she picked up a little someone on her trip. moving closer and closer to her target - yuna up in the clouds as she pressed her body against his.

“you’re cute,” she slurred, a sloppy smile on her lips as her hand moved to caress his cheek. she’s probably gonna regret this - in the morning. 

she grabs onto his arms, on her tip-toes as she leaned forward - her lips coming into contact with his. wrapping her arms around his neck, she lets it last for a while before pulling away, her grin impossibly wider than before.

letting out a small giggle, she batted her eyelashes at him, “have we met before?” yuna asks, a familiar aura around the boy. “i’m yuna, by the way,”

“fast food?” yoojung exclaims. “don’t you know that’ll make us gain everything back?” even though she said that now, she probably was going to end up craving it herself and would ‘accidentally’ find herself standing in mcdonald’s. she wanted to at least look like she didn’t plan on eating unhealthily so quickly. 

yoojung giggles. “come on, unnie.” she says, dragging out the last syllable. “we haven’t even been running for that long! don’t you want to be super smoking hot for the cute beach boys?”

“but! i’m a potato, and potatoes are already cute - it’s just because no one notices them!” yuna insists, jogging along despite her complaints. yes, she was quiet contradictory to her words - and very conflicted inside most of the time. she lowkey wanted abs, but she also has that big part of her that’s too lazy to.

“wanna go to starbucks and shop instead?” yuna asked, suddenly wanting them to glow up for know reason. they’d look hot, and yuna lowkey wants to go clubbing the night away. “i’m down for a little girls’ night out, are you?”
