I don’t really use CC but I do like my mods so I’d like to request/suggest some to mod creators. Maybe these already exist and someone could point me in the right direction. They’re mainly purely cosmetic.
Pink Trees Begone - I’m one of those few people who hates the pink trees in the world. @fakehousesrealawesome kindly released a mod some time ago that retextured the awful bubblegum growths all across TS4 worlds up until Get Together, but it seems the ones in Windenburg have a different ID because they are not affected by the mod. I know she isn’t playing TS4 right now so is unable to update hers, so I’m looking for an override mod to turn those Windenburg cotton candy abominations into normal green trees.
Graffiti Begone - I dislike that EA had to spoil the ruins with graffiti on the Island Bluffs lot, so I want it gone. I tried creating an override myself which wasn’t hard on its own, but I’m pretty sure it was the root cause of the Apocalypse Sky, so I’d prefer it be done by someone who actually knows what they’re doing (since evidently, that someone isn’t me).
Dumb Career Accessory Purge - My game has a knack for randomizing the dumbest accessories for inactive careers (barista, pizza delivery, mailman, etc.) on townies. I’m mainly concerned about sunglasses and, more importantly, shoes. E.g. I’ve seen my baristas and waiters sport clown shoes and hospital slippers. So I’d like a mod that puts a lock on the game randomizing those awful items on outfits I have no way of changing.
Last but not least, definitely the most ambitious:
I don’t know if this is possible but I’d like a fix to how the game displays paintings when they’re viewed from any lot other than the lot they’re on. They appear blank. That probably sounds confusing so here’s an example: I put a bunch of sim-made paintings on lot A. While my sims are on lot A or I’m editing lot A, they look fine. However, if I look at them from anywhere else in the neighbourhood, such as lot B, C, or D, they will just be white, they’re missing the texture. I imagine it was intentionally done to off-load the graphical strain. Thus I don’t even know if there’s a way around that. If there is, I’ll be happy even if the painting IDs aren’t matched correctly, anything is better than a plain white canvas. It also affects photographs and mannequins the same way, photos are blank (black), mannequins are clotheless, but I can live with those. What I really want fixed is the paintings.
I’m tagging @ts4requests in here, if you’d like me to untag you, let me know. :-)
