Ji Hyo liked to think of Spiderlily as a sisterhood. Sure, it wasn’t anything like a sorority or a club (or she supposed it kind of was in a twisted way) but she knew she would do anything for her fellow members and she was sure that many of them felt the same way too. 

There were those that Ji Hyo got along with and those that she didn’t, but that came naturally in life and she did her best to manage a good environment nevertheless, even if it meant completely avoiding those that she didn’t like. 

This was what caused her to go down an unfamiliar path at the headquarters, avoiding someone she didn’t want to deal with and this was how she stumbled upon another girl, quickly recognizing her as someone she had never seen around here before and was excited to quickly approach the girl’s side, careful not to jump out and scare her because she was sure that the girl knew how to kick ass and greeted her. 

“Hi there,” she smiled, confirming that she had never met the girl before as she took a look at her. “You’re new here, right? I don’t think I’ve seen your face around here before. I’m Kang Ji Hyo, it’s nice to meet you.”

Ji Hyo wasn’t sure how exactly it started, but she knew that without a doubt, she didn’t regret a single moment.

With a lifestyle like theirs, it was easy to get caught up in it all and to be serious all the time and forget to enjoy the little things in life. Maybe it started out as an accident that got taken seriously by the other and eventually, it led to this mess of a prank war whenever the two would find the chance to do so.

Their pranks ranged from a variety of things such as taking their belongings, moving objects little by little, driving the other insane, blocking a door to keep them trapped in a room, blasting loud music or noises to scare the other, the list went on and one. 

The two were relentless and refused to give in and admit defeat, which worked just fine for Ji Hyo. She was always scheming with what prank to pull on the older girl.

“Okay Liv, this is a magic trick I learned recently,” she said as the two finished training for the day. She had just cracked open a brand new water bottle and gestured to it. “Look, see? Just a water bottle, nothing special or fancy, right? Look inside,” she said, lowering the bottle so that the girl could see nothing was out of the ordinary. 

Then, she held up a coin. “Now look,” she said, putting the coin on the table and putting the water bottle on top of it. “The coin isn’t in the water bottle...yet. After I do my magic, it’ll be inside,” she explained and grabbing her towel, she threw it on top of the water bottle, careful so that it wouldn’t spill and hummed and waved her fingers around before taking the towel off.

“Ta da!~” se declared, gesturing to the bottle once more. “Now look inside, you’ll see the coin floating in there,” she said, and waited for the older girl to lean down and squint into the bottle before quickly squashing the bottle in both hands, allowing the water to explode out of the tiny hole and splash Liv in the face.

“I got you, I got you! I didn’t think you’d fall for that one, but I’m glad you did! It was a good one, wasn’t it?”

league of non-legends.

     it's the third game in a row. just the third, and yet jeongguk finds himself biting his tongue to hold back a few relatively annoyed remarks from being said into the microphone currently set at the corner of his lips.

     league of legends, he thinks, is not a game for highly skilled players to be matched with… whatever this one is.

     the game goes by painfully slow, with him showing a relatively good map presence though not nearly as adept as he usually would be; his mind is elsewhere. his mind is on a certain player that irks him, yet he can't escape them from either being on his team and costing him an easy win or being on the enemy team and giving him an easy win.

     by the end of the game and the show of the defeat screen, he's sending the player a message and tapping his nails against his desk as he awaits their response.

     [ ✓ message: get in a voice channel for a bit ]      [ ✓ message: either that or get in a group with me and get in there and just listen? ]

     it's a moment or two before he hears the telltale noise of someone joining the voice channel, and that's when he lets out a loud sigh.

     “if you're going to be in every single game i play, then at least play the game correctly,” he says without warning, “you either give me an easy win or a painful loss.”

     it’s straight to the point, he knows, but he believes that if they’ve survived this long within the game’s community then whatever he says will be taken in stride.
