Day 1- Character Development -1st September. 

1.) Describe your character’s relationship with their mother or their father, or both. Was it good? Bad? Were they spoiled rotten, ignored? Do they still get along now, or no?

Being the youngest in the family, being shy  and having a blood disorder, Miles was was more inclined to hide behind his mother from an early age, while Owen was out making friends and being confident. From there, Miles became very close to his mother and acts more like her, with a calm nature and friendly polite behaviour. 

Miles does get on with his father but he tends to fall quiet around him and listen to him rather then chat. They have a comfortable silence around each other and do love one another and Miles will go to his father for advice. His father is one of his idols.

Texas Republican Louie Gohmert Makes Shameful, Intolerant Statement About Aurora Tragedy

File this under "exactly how not to respond to a terrible tragedy." Friday morning, after news broke about the awful shooting in a Colorado movie theater that left 12 dead and dozens injured, Republican Congressman Louie Gohmert took to right-wing radio to declare that the tragedy was the result of "ongoing attacks on Judeo-Christian beliefs."

Gohmert was a guest on "Istook Live!", a show produced by The Heritage Foundation and hosted by former Oklahoma Congressman Ernest Istook. Here's a snippet of his remarks, courtesy of the Huffington Post:

"You know what really gets me, as a Christian, is to see the ongoing attacks on Judeo-Christian beliefs, and then some senseless crazy act of terror like this takes place," Gohmert said.

"Some of us happen to believe that when our founders talked about guarding our virtue and freedom, that that was important," he said. "Whether it's John Adams saying our Constitution was made only for moral and religious people ... Ben Franklin, only a virtuous people are capable of freedom, as nations become corrupt and vicious they have more need of masters. We have been at war with the very pillars, the very foundation of this country."

"People say ... where was God in all of this?" Gohmert said. "We've threatened high school graduation participations, if they use God's name, they're going to be jailed ... I mean that kind of stuff. Where was God? What have we done with God? We don't want him around. I kind of like his protective hand being present."
