Brainstorm tried to look on the bright side of things whenever he could. Sure, the love of his life was dead, but Brainstorm was enough of a genius to fix that. Sure, the Ethics Committee had…delicately suggested Brainstorm get conjunxed to a random archivist because he was a bit too much of a genius and it made them nervous, and “conjunx endura” sounded better than “professional snitch,” but at least the mech wasn’t completely terrible. And sure, Brainstorm’s best friend, who he happened to be hopelessly pining for, was falling in love with said new conjunx, but—well, no, mostly that one just sucked.
