The one on the left is a hero (because of course this is a superhero story, what else could you expect from me?), and the one on the right is a villain with a secret identity. Their personalities conflict in just about every way because they're really similar: a little snobby, self-confident, just an eensy-weensy bit paranoid, and wanting to be an older brother figure to the protagonist—which I've yet to design. The two of them are also so stuck up in their competition that they don't realize just how hyper-independent their "little brother" is and how awkward he'd be under someone else's care.
I don't know exactly their rivalry, like how dark I want it. Because dark, possessive, and a little creepy could be so fun. But I also yearn for fluff and the two doing stupid things like sticking their tongues out at each other when protagonist (no one has names yet, help) opts to hang out with one over the other.
And this is purely my rambling, like I wasn't doing that before, but protagonist being aware of this rivalry and using it to his benefit would be funny. "Well, so-and-so got me this" when told no. Even better if it's an absurd request that the other definitely wouldn't say yes to.
OH! Also, their powers are telekinesis (left) and mind control (right, and hence the spirals and belt design). Left has an x motif for fun.
I'll talk more about her tomorrow when I'm not exhausted.
But for now, she's from the same story as the previous two (contempt duo or whatever, that's them now). Originally, I was imagining her as nonbinary, but I drew her and now I have a trans girl.
What does this have to do with the word sacred, you ask? Good question. I kind of just wanted to sort out her design, but I suppose religious trauma surrounding being trans and promptly bound to a demon so everyone knows counts I some way or another.
Happy day/night to you all. I'll be crazy about her tomorrow
Guess who's back again. This time with hopefully less to say.
Anyway this is "Kid", not his official name, but what I called him in my last post. He is a seal hybrid, hence the gray skin—though I imagine he'd be a little fuzzy—, spots, and needing support to walk long distances. Also because it fits for today's word, deep. He is great with tech and has been since a young age.
You would think such a cute face is the baby of the group, but he's actually the oldest and most likely to find a way to make a bomb with whatever he has in his pockets. Technically, he's Protagonist's "guy in the chair" but as shown by the image furthest to the right, he doesn't stay in the chair if he can help it. He made himself something kind of like braces to help himself move around easier without his cane since that's a danger when/if he's fighting someone. His vigilante gear is also meant to resemble a fox with the ears and tail in an attempt to throw people off.
I decided to make a little shadowy bug because the little knight deserves a fan.
And a little translation for my handwriting:
"Tenebrous"
An arrow pointing to the face of the first scene, "Mask"
An arrow pointing to the handle of the knight mimic's weapon in the first scene, "Stick"
An arrow pointing to the pink-tan cloth bag stabbed onto the end of the stick in the first scene, "A sack stabbed onto the stick, something is leaking inside"
An arrow pointing to the knight mimic chasing after the knight in the second scene, "A big fan"
"A bug that evolved to look like the knight because who would want to fight that?"
Following the third scene where the knight mimic is shown to excitedly holding up a damaged fruit, "Later gifts "bruised fruit" to the knight, gives a random buff (+health, soul, charm (<- only one time)) every time they meet"
TW: Eyestrain (I think. Just a heads up if bright colours give you trouble, there's going to be a lot of them), as well as eyes, if you get freaked out by a lot of eyes, don't look
Also, names for any of the cdw2026 characters would be appreciated! (Please, I need names)
Anyway, final day of character design week a few days late in my truest fashion. This is the alternative word, Ash, and my protagonist for the story I've been jabbering about. The one that should be dead, but is instead living as a morbid mix of the consciousnesses of a demon (stupid Garten of Banban looking fella) and a nine-year-old with a big sense of responsibility.
Protagonist is a sparrow hybrid and the glory powers from his hands are the demon thing, which can also mimic Osprey wings because sparrows aren't built for speed like birds of prey are, and prey (kind of, not really) showing predator traits when going nuts is cool.
Uhh, yeah... his colour is red (contrasts with the green of Hero, who he's meant to resemble with his blond hair and both of their powers kind of being telekinesis (did I mention Hero's powers? I don't think so. It's telekinesis), not that Hero knows Protagonist's powers aside from the wings) and his hair is long here because he has no reason to be stressed, but after whatever is happening here, it nearly all fell out till he had short hair that stuck up in every direction. He loses hair/ feathers when stressed.
Protagonist's hero name is Icarus because of his wings, big ambitions, and his tendency to lose a ton of feathers while on patrol (because Icarus' wings melt, so they drop feathers, get it?)
I used a greyscale technique to practice my values, which also means this piece is fully shaded and done in my usual fully finished style that can take a while to do.
Sorry there's no alt text, I have no idea what to put there for this one.
