Eclipse doesn't remember how he did it—to convince Solar Flare to help him find where their Sun and Moon now stay, but he managed to.
By the gods, they managed to in half a week.
The audible sigh of relief that came from Eclipse finding out Solar Flare wasnt doing as he dread, but doing as he requested was the most hes been at peace. Maybe Eclipse shouldve known when his companion gave him that knowing look when he spoke of his plan. Maybe.
This favor was huge yet Solar Flare didnt ask for anything in return, only that Eclipse find refuge and a home in this new dimension. That embrace Solar Flare initiated before allowing Eclipse to enter the portal was something Eclipse hadnt known he'd needed, but it was worth returning in a tighter hold.
It was hard to step in after, but Solar Flare's nod was enough to tell Eclipse that he was doing the right thing. His kids were gonna be informed, and they'd start anew like Eclipse had planned when he entered the other dimension before, far from the danger and problems.
His eyes landed on the exterior of a house, illuminated by the blue tone of the portal until it closed, leaving the house enveloped in shadows once more. Absentmindedly, his body surges forward and his hand raises to knock on the door twice, catching the attention of the people in the lit kitchen.
The door swings open, and a familiar voice speaks out—a voice Eclipse never knew he missed.
"Hello—? Gah!" Sun squeaks out, taking a step back as his faint glow reveals Eclipse's figure outside. Stammering, his gaze bounce between Eclipse and Moon, his brother staring in confusion. "M-m-moon, do—do we have, uh, a-a Eclipse in this universe?"
Moon perks up from his slouched spot against the counter, his guard raised. "I dont think we do..." He turns on his night vision just as Eclipse rudely welcomes himself in and... collapses into Sun's arms.
"Eclipse?!.." Moon rushes over to them, his hands no longer holding the cereal box as he raised them in worry, wanting to cup Eclipse's face but not knowing if he was allowed to.
Sun, though, was braver; his arm wraps around the taller animatronic, allowing Eclipse to use his shoulder as a pillow. "Eclipse!.." Sun whispers, more worried than Eclipse has ever heard Sun towards him.
They spoke his name ever so softly, like it were the first time theyve seen him.
It possibly was with his appearance—his slumped figure with worse eyebags and tear stains than both of them with the addition of his odd choice of sleepwear of a jacket layered on a turtleneck and baggy pants to hide his barefeet.
While Moon has met Eclipse a few days ago, he was certain Eclipse didnt look like he walked into hell before being dragged suddenly and knocked against rocks in his fallen state.
Just the way they spoke and fussed over him told Eclipse enough: he was safe. By the Astrals and stars in the sky, Eclipse was safe.
Safer than Puppet's greetings to him.
Safer than getting released from the mindscape.
Safer than getting his back patched up.
Safer than Charlie reuniting with her father.
Safer than Ruin giving him options on how to take a break.
Safer.
This dimension was safer.
Sure, the virus is at work and possibly infected plenty of devices already, but he was with someone—Moon who could actually help him in creating a cure, maybe even Solar and Monty could assist as they are both just as smart in that subject.
This was safe.
The safe haven Eclipse hasnt been given; the place where he could finally heal from his trauma.
The way he was held and spoke to so gently was like melody, the lullaby that lulled him into allowing his tears to finally escape as hes lowered to the ground, his head now on Moon's shoulder while Sun continued to hold him.
He was safe.
If not safe with his friends, than safe with his enemies.
[Crimson Elite universe nightmare] It defies all logic - it shouldn't be possible, and yet it is. Before Talon's eyes, his charge took a blade to the heart, a blade that Talon had failed to see, failed to stop, failed to intercept. Whether it was the blade's material or perhaps magical properties or poison that had bolstered its strength was unclear, but it has done the impossible, and Vladimir is dying. His eyes never leave Talon's, even after he's taken his last breath.
Talon jolts awake, breathing harshly. There’s something wet trickling down his cheeks - he swipes the back of his hand over his face roughly, not looking to see what it is. The salt taste at the corners of his mouth already tell him.Vladimir can’t die. He can’t. He tells himself that, again and again, until his breathing levels out. Only then does he climb out of his narrow bed. It’s not appropriate to walk to Vladimir’s room without being properly armed and dressed but he can’t wait long enough to put on the multiple parts of his armor. He settles for pulling on a robe - plush, quilted, lined with silk, it was a Snowdown gift from Vladimir that is so ostentatiously lush that he feels guilty just looking at it - and silently pads down the hallway through the mansion to Vladimir’s bedroom.One peek won’t hurt. Just one peek. It won’t even wake Vladimir, Talon tells himself, and yet he’s somehow unsurprised to find himself kneeling besides Vladimir’s bedside and listening to him breathe.
I remember someone saying they wanted more of this post (heres, like p2 of it if youre interested :3)—and I think they quoted "I hunger for more"? Idk memory is bad :<.
And I must say: youre in luck since I still have SO MANY ideas for it >:D!!! (which is why I cant focus on the other AUs properly lmao)

"Thanks for listening to me when I ranted." Moon mutters, not knowing how to show much gratitude though he was rather thankful. Many people would be bored if he kept talking about science and whatnot, but not Eclipse.
"Same goes to you." Eclipse shrugs, unable to express himself too well either. He keeps his eyes away from Moon, nodding. "Thanks."
A short silence surrounds them for a moment, a thankfully comfortable one to ease the former tension and awkwardness between them.
"So..." A smile stretches on Moon's face, offering his hand. "..brothers?"
Eclipse's eyes widen, looking at Moon's stretched hand. Hesitantly, he takes it, shaking firmly. "Brothers..." He smirks. "..if I get to be the older one."
"Shit." Moon cracks up, not having expected that sudden addition. He sits up, holding his stomach as he keeps laughing. "Dammit! Im technically older than you!"
"Too late." Eclipse snickers, his arm unconsciously behind Moon to secure his safety if he ever were to fall. "We already shook hands, little brother."
Moon can barely speak in his laughter, halfly joking as he manages to. "Noo!!"
Trying to write "Eclipse's Eclipse Twins", but Im hyperfixating on this instead so have a continuation I guess??
"Monty and Roxanne FIND OUT!" (fake EAPS ep and thumbnail)

Two pairs of footsteps make their way to theatre, one thudding so loudly it muted the other who squeaked against the tiles. Along it were two female voices belonging to Roxanne and Montessa, accompanying the repetitive noise with a disagreement on their current situation.
Roxanne moves her hands in an exaggerated manner, trying to emphasize her words physically. "..all Im saying is that one of those three couldve taken him, especially Afton." She speaks in a tone that dismisses Montessa's theory, making the other pout as she continues. "Theres just no way he ran. Not in a time like this."
A soft sound mimicking an exhale escapes pass Montessa's lips before they purse. "He couldnt...—they couldnt have just taken him like that. Not one of them can make it pass any of the entrances without setting off an alarm we all wouldve heard.
"It just doesn't make sense..." She continues, her fingers curling around her snout as her thoughts rage on. "He went somewhere. I know so. Hes been... hes been stressed lately and I think we've done nothing but intensify that."
"What? Trying to get him a social life?" Roxanne's step causes the shutters of the theatre to rise, allowing their entrance. "We all agreed he needed one."
"Yes, but—" Montessa sucks her teeth, sighing as she realized the argument was futile. "Lets just ask Solar Flare. I mean, hes always around the guy, so he must know something, right?"
Golden eyes lock onto the back room behind the counter, and Roxanne's ears lower while her anxiety raises. "He has been quiet... too quiet. So I guess I wouldnt be surprised if he knew something..." She trails off, her ears perking up in sudden interest.
Narrowing her eyes, Roxanne spots a bright neon glow reflecting off the metal beams of the shelves from the back room. Her enhanced audio pickup sending her feedbacks of a hushed conversation, though unable to know what was said, the voices were recognized as Solar Flare's alongside Andy's, Jake's and Andrew's.
Roxanne allows her body to act intinstively; rushing to jump over the counter and slide into the back room just as Andy and Jake jump into a blue light—a portal. Retracting her claws that slowed her momentum, she stands up straight, staring in disbelief.
"Whats happening?" Roxanne demands though her voice dropped to nothing but a whisper.
Solar Flare's eyes narrow, covering Andrew with his body while his arm extends to shield the child further. "Classified." He speaks in a low voice, nearly growling. To Andrew, however, his tone softened. "Andrew, get in. Do not let them wait."
Andrew takes one last look at the room before slipping into the portal as well, only allowing Montessa to get a glimpse of the bright source before it disappears in a flash, making her optics reset for a brief moment.
"Fuck! What the—" Montessa's fist knocks against her temple, forcing her vision to repair itself quick. Still, she did not need to see it all to know what it was. "That was a portal. What was..."
"The kids—Eclipse's kids jumped into that thing," Roxanne would summarize, shaking her surprise off as he regains her confidence. "And Solar Flare allowed it to happen."
Solar Flare raises his head high as if his height wasnt enough. "I was simply told to." He defends himself, but Roxanne wasnt gonna allow him to continue doing so.
Tight fists grab Solar Flare by his collar as the fabric tears because of the extracted claws, dragging him down to the wolf animatronic's height. She would snarl as her teeth bares, showing a daring bite she was willing to pull if any defiant moves were made—too violent. Montessa quickly seperates them upon realization, going between the two to avoid more physical confrontation.
Montessa looks back at Solar Flare, unable to form her thoughts orderly at the revelation. "How... why—who ordered you to do that?"
"Requested." Solar Flare corrects, dusting the hem of his shirt off. "But that is none of your concern as it is classified."
"Solar Flare!" Roxanne tries to push forward, but Montessa holds her back. She claws with now numb fingers on Montessa's arms, though still possibly denting the metal skin lightly under the pressure. "Who told you to do that?! And why would you listen?!"
Solar Flare stands his ground, unphased by the reaction as he merely repeats his words. "It is classified—"
"I DONT CARE IF ITS CLASSIFIED!" Roxanne snaps, her claws threatening to go out. Her eyes flicker to a bright purple before it disappears, and she growls as though in raging hunger. "You took them somewhere that could be dangerous without Eclipse's permission at all—! The guy is missing and you take his kids away like that! What is wrong with you?!"
Profanities and scolding escape Roxanne's mouth, but Montessa blocks it all out once she and Solar Flare lock eyes, a look of knowing coming from Solar Flare suggesting...
..that Montessa was right.
She nearly lets go of Roxanne due to it, but she returns her hold in a tighter grip as Solar Flare dismisses himself, leaving the duo alone with their thoughts.
"Montessa!" Roxanne pushes herself away, stumbling backwards but she caught her footing. She hisses when the purple in her eyes return, but she shakes her head and its golden color returns. "Why bother holding me back—?!"
"He left us." Montessa mutters in a tone just as questioning as Roxanne's.
Roxanne sighs in frustration, the purple hue rising in her eyes once more. "Yeah, because you didnt let me go! You held me—"
"Eclipse left us." Montessa breaths out, her eyes shaking as they met Roxanne's. "Eclipse left."
Roxanne's eyes widen as they return to their original color, her ears lowering just as much as her tail had.
She wants to argue—to tell Montessa she was wrong and that Eclipse hadnt because it wasnt the time to leave, not when all of this was still happening, but Montessa's voice full of disbelief told Roxanne enough: even Montessa didnt wanna believe what she knew.
They stood in silence. A silence loud enough to deafen the air conditioner running, to make even white noises muted, to silence the voice whispering for them to destroy everyone in their way. Now, they were left with an unwanted responsibility:
How would they tell the others?
How do they tell the others to stop looking for a man who tore down his own missing posters?
So, I'm assuming you've see today's EAPS episode (Eclipse has reached his limit of Virus influence, even Charlie can't cure him now).
My question to you; how would this play out in the Returned to Roots Eclipse AU you've basically made.
(Y'know, the one where Eclipse grabs the kids and leaves EAPS world behind, taking the virus to SAMS new world with him and his kids? Eclipse has the virus still, right? I think you said that in the first comic/post you made, where he just shows up outside SAMS house.)
So, with it canonically being shown on how it affects him, what kind of panic is induced to the Celestials when Eclipse just randomly shuts down?

That AU was made on May 15 (I think?), so heres some layout :3 :
For the first week: the SAMS cast would be getting Eclipse comfortable in the new dimension before getting Eclipse's kids to join them (this was a safety measure from Eclipse so he knew they were safe in this new home).
By the second to third week: Eclipse, Solar, Moon and Monty would be working on a cure for the virus! Of course, since they have nothing to work on, Moon and Solar would go back to the former/old dimension the SAMS cast was in and find whatevers left of the cure that was implanted in Ruin.
HOWEVER, as you mentioned, the virus would take full effect on Eclipse by now; by this point, Eclipse wouldve passed out during trying to help them make the cure (might make some art for that? Im not sure lol).
Naturally, as a family, they all immediately panic and care for him;
•Terra (formerly Earth) would make sure Eclipse sleeps and eats well.
•Solar and Monty make sure Eclipse's systems dont go haywire.
•Moon and Sun watch over Eclipse most of the time, but when they cant, Cosmos (formerly Lunar) would do it for them.
Since they had time, the cure for it wouldve been done a few hours after the effects showed on Eclipse (possibly just the next day after :D), leaving the family relieved. Eclipse would still be a bit dazed, but he'll be fine after just a few days since the cure has been given to him. This AU is undoubtedly my excuse to make them a happy family.
To put it short: Eclipse would show the effects, yes, but he'd be healed after just a short while since the cure wouldve been done by then. :)
