Some cards might have big drawbacks to make them reliable under any scenario, yet they have the capability to become the most important options in specific Decks. Despite any demerits they might carry, under the right management these cards not only compensates their flaws but also obtain peak results from their summon or activation. They might not be cards that any player or Deck can use, yet after exploring its various uses the positives severely outmatches the negatives.

"Shooting Star Bow - Ceal" is part of the Equip Spells used to summon Guardian monsters, but like the rest of its kind it can be played by any monster than can be equipped with it. "Ceal" provides a big demerit where its target will lose 1000 ATK, but in compensation it will allow it to direct attack our opponent. While the big drop of stats might not make considerable damage from these direct attacks, "Ceal" actually has a considerably number of monsters that not only are able to work arround such flaw but also have a great potential to achieve an OTK with the help of this card.

With cards such as "Hidden Armory" and "Fairy Tail - Rella" making the Equip Spell available right from our first turn, all we have left to do is to figure out which monsters to work along with "Shooting Star Bow - Ceal". A default choice is to take a stall approach with the help of cards like "Messenger of Peace" and "Gravity Bind", stopping opponent attacks while the monster weakened by "Ceal" can attack freely. Some monsters won't mind much the ATK loss as they can still deal considerable damage, ranging from "Injection Fairy Lily" gaining a 2400 boost at cost of our Life Points, or working arround the summon of "Five-Headed Dragon" to deal 4000 damage. Obviously boosts coming from other Equip Spells will mitigate the ATK loss, more particularly "Armed Samurai - Ben Kei" which will gain additional attacks for each equipped card to the point of achieving an OTK. "The Wicked Avatar" is a particular case when comes working arround "Ceal", as due how its stat increase works it will completely ignore the Spell's ATK loss. But while "Ceal" has various monsters to work along with, don't miss the opportunity to use its negative effect against opponent monsters to weaken them and make them easier to defeat.

"Shooting Star Bow - Ceal" is a card that not only has various setups to work along with, but also slightly flexible to work under various scenarios. With easily available monsters like "Five-Headed Dragon" and "Armed Samurai - Ben Kei" able to obtain an OTK, the main flaw of "Ceal" will rarely become noticeable under Decks focused on these monsters. And even if we don't have a potential target to direct attack the opponent with, we can use its ATK loss against enemies instead. "Ceal" might not provide massive stat boosts like more popular Equip Spells, but the possibilities arround its uses makes it worth its own Deck or atleast a solid tool for certain situations.
