Zander was trying to continue on like everything was normal, despite the fact The Crusade had set fire in the gallery. Something Ches kept blowing his phone up about, joking about needing to get The Crusade a dictionary for Christmas because they didn’t understand the definition of the word more if all they’d managed to burn down was the gallery when The Circle had destroyed Carnifex. Something that Zander would usually find amusing, if he wasn’t so stressed. Did it matter who destroyed what? They both sucked. And after a while, he’d just turned off his phone to focus on his engineering work, because that was frustrating him already, and she wasn’t helping. He glances up when he hears footsteps in the library, relaxing a little when he sees it’s Ceci. “Hey.” He greets her, “are you insanely overwhelmed with schoolwork too, or is this just a me problem?” She was technically in a different field of engineering, sure, but they had enough core classes together that he was going to assume yes, or that  Ceci was way more on top of things then he was.

Which, to be fair, after the past couple of weeks, that'd be just his luck. Between everything with Balo, being back in Lake George, the game night, now attempts to burn down the school, and the standard end of the year cram, schoolwork was seeming to take up more of his time by the day.

​“I’m not saying you should switch to aerospace,” Jack mused as he made a note of the calculation they had been asked to work on, “but it’s a fucking shame you’re on straight engineering, don’t you think?” Maybe that could have been taken in a nice way, but being Jack, he had to ruin the situation, a wide grin emerging on his face as he continued to speak: “since getting to sit next to you is a way better incentive to go to class than having to face Zander Shitface Driskell,” he wiggled his eyebrows at Ceci, unashamedly checking her out as he did so. as conspicuously as he could. “Did you do the prelab report? ‘Cause I’d totally do it for a reward....”

Okay, I don’t know who told you what happened with that trash can, but that doesn’t mean I would fuck just any body. 

Anyway, define commit. Like wife up? Be my boo? Dinner for two? Me and you, heart tattoo? Probably need to go on a couple dates with them before I figure out if I wanna commit, and they gotta be into all of this. Who would I ask out on a date? Probably Kenzie or Maia. Ceci seems like a fun time, too. Also, Ian, Teddy, and Isak. We made out already, why don’t we get to know each other better, ya know?
