BIOGRAPHY

Fae are a mysterious and reclusive group. Born in the heart of Neverland, rarely do they travel outside of the hidden island. Each one is born with a different specialty, and Cecily was born with the ability to shift into a crocodile and an affinity for time. Like most of the other fae, she never left Neverland for anything, making the island her home. Yet when Tinkerbell was banished, Cecily was driven to curiosity. She watched the humans that the other faerie had apparently adopted in some odd way. A group of boys who tore about the island with reckless abandon, and a ship full of pirates that seemed intent on containing them. 

She often lurked about the ship in her crocodile form, counting the seconds passing by. She was there when they fought, and one of the boys tossed over the pirate captain’s hand, urging her to eat it. She wasn’t above snapping up fish, but she wasn’t about to eat a human hand tossed over from some ship. Rather she stole the watch that had fallen over with it and kept it for herself. She strung it around her neck and liked the way it ticked no matter where she was at or what form she was in. With a little touch of magic, it even worked in the water.

The pirate, however, seemed to think that she had eaten his hand. He took it personally and chased her off anytime the ticking of the watch announced her presence around his ship. When he discovered that she was fae and not in fact just a beast, he didn’t seem any more inclined towards her, though he always welcomed Tinkerbell onto his ship. Eventually, Cecily herself was banished from the other fae for spending too much time around the humans. But she couldn’t help her curiosity. She continued watching them, wondering why some of them aged and some of them didn’t.

And then they all disappeared. Without warning they were just gone. It wasn’t much longer that curiosity got the best of her again and Cecily worked up enough magic to follow their trail into Fableton, a whole town full of humans. The pirate had a tavern in place of a ship and the boy was finally starting to age. Yet things didn’t seem all that different.

CONNECTIONS

James Jones: The pirate whose watch she stole and still wears around her neck. He always hears her coming and has never liked her. Cecily has always strangely curious about him, though she could never explain why.

Peter Jones: The boy who once lived on the island as well. Cecily never actually spoke to him, but she could tell that he was the leader of the group and nemesis of the pirate. She could never understand the source of their feud, but it drew her interest.

Cor/Cecily

Who cooks normally?:Cornelius, since he’s trying to master the skill. There are several things he can make well, and quite a few more that… still need work.

How often do they fight?:Don’t be ridiculous. What would they fight about?

What do they do when they’re away from each other?:Cecily enjoys the solitude of the clock shop, and Cor saves up stories to tell her later about the strange and interesting people he meets.

Who steals the covers at night?:Cecily, and he’s quite alright with that. At least one of her forms is cold-blooded.

Who remembers things?:Neither is prone to remembering mistakes or slights, but when it comes to shared experiences, Cor has a good memory for details.

Who cusses more?:They’re both much too pleasant for that, thank you.

Who takes longer showers?:Cecily, because she enjoys being in the water and sometimes misses it.

What’s their favorite place to go together?: They both enjoy the lagoon for a number of activities, including picnics and watching sunsets. Anywhere outdoors is fine though.

Who’s more likely to burn dinner?:Cor. For someone who can tame fires, one would think the stove wouldn’t give him so much trouble. Cecily laughs at him, and they order in if it’s unsalvageable.

Who falls asleep on the couch?: Cecily, and Cor will stay there until well after his arm has gone numb to avoid waking her. Her tiny crocodile snores are one of the cutest things he’s ever seen.

Who sings in the shower?: Cor is more likely to sing, hum, or whistle just about anywhere. Fortunately, his singing voice isn’t bad.

Who plans date night?: They take turns. Neither requires elaborate measures, but they like to make things special for each other.

Who wakes up first?: Cor is usually up with the sun. He rarely seems to run low on energy.

Who drinks all of the coffee?: Neither. They both prefer tea or cocoa and almost always fill the kettle for two (or three if Wendy is also there).

Who starts getting into holidays way before they should?:It’s a mutual effort. Neither of them celebrated a lot of holidays before Fableton, so they enjoy going to the town events and decorating their apartment together. Of course, they don’t know all of the regular human traditions, so it often involves making up some of their own.

Who initiates the couple selfies?:Neither is big on technology, and they’re both more prone to being in the moment than stopping to document it.

Who forgets the birthdays and anniversaries?:Nobody is that inconsiderate and, in any case, there’s a calendar in the kitchen with all the important dates written in bright colors.

I think we can all agree that Cornelius is Fableton's most eligible bachelor. Will he end up with Cecily, Lottie, Ariel, or Esméralda? Who knows, but I'll just be here with some popcorn and tissues.

I think Cornelius should just form a harem. That way Cecily, Lottie, Ariel, Esmeralda, and Chel can all get some of the most eligible bachelor. There’s enough of him to go around, isn’t there? I know I’d gladly join if I can get some of him.

I got to say I really like the idea of Cor and Cecily together. They would be so adorable!

They would be adorable, but I’m not quite sure Cor’s ready to move on yet. I do like when friends turn to lovers though. We’ll see how that pans out. All I know is I’m Team Whoever-Makes-Cor-Happy. Whoever that ends up being, I’ll support.
