This circa 1920 image from the City of Vancouver Archives appeared in a marketing package to sell condos at Fraser and 29th in 2011. The glossy folder raved about Ledingham McAllister’s Century project and how it was going to revitalize the Kensington-Cedar Cottage neighbourhood and Fraser Street.
Worth noting: wrong neighbourhood. Wrong street. This is Main looking north from 26th Avenue in the Riley Park-Little Mountain area.

At Migis, it’s the time to love our Bean Boots.
Because they are the cure for that adage that says April is the cruelest month. There is joy in the promise of the mud and the fallen, and patience exercised in waiting for the green, the warm, the gentle.
And at Migis, suddenly staff! Just when we’ve recovered from our fall good-byes, spring brings the return of our fellows! A short travelogue from yesterday, to see what’s happening. Building, cleaning, greeting.

Do you know what these are?

Back to Cedar
Colby’s been taking photos right along through this cold winter, while he and the crew ripped and tore and planned and built. Thank you, Colby! Since his compilation, the roof has been shingled in our familiar Migis green. Looking good.
And today is the last day the interior will look like this photo below....the paneling is ready to go up!
Working hard now, so you can relax when you arrive at Migis.
Give us a call; we’ll put down the hammer and pick up the phone!
