Happy Storyteller Saturday! What are some common archetypes in your characters? Do they see those archetypes in themselves, or do they see themselves as something completely different?

It’s Sunday now, but I didn’t have the opportunity to get on Tumblr yesterday, so I’m answering today.

I’m answering this very early in the morning, so don’t be surprised if I’m completely misunderstanding.

I think that a common archetype is “The Hero”, but the characters definitely don’t see themselves as heroic. They tend to think of themselves as just people.

Oh also about moon!grace and sun!simon, i think it also works cause grace is reaching for the sun and simon is reaching for the moon (both unwillingly) to save them. So it kinda fits the dynamic that they’re reaching for each other instead of just being it themselves

my reason as to why you should listen to Malevolent after you finish TMA/catch up to TMagP (Arthur is the podcasts mc)

but Malevolent is an Eldritch horror so,,, you can assume this does not go NEARLY as well for Arthur as it did for Grace.

I think I looked at some malevolent fanart a few years ago (same era I was looking at TMA fanart to figure out if I wanted to listen to them) so I have a vague idea who Arthur may be and who the inhuman one may be

Complicated. I think in his past it would have been Choosing: The Slaughter, Chosen: The Web. But after the movie events?

Choosing: The End, he can't die if it needs him. Pretty easy way to live, yeah?

Chosen by: You think I would say The Flesh, but no! The Spiral. He's taken by the spiral. My man is CONFUSED and BEFUDDLED for this entire film. He's been spiralled. He's really only mutating severely near the end of the film.

I needed to mark out all of his eyeball tattoos so have a he

I decided keyhole top surgery scars would look the more like eyes :)

Accidentally made his torso too long, oh well, he gets short ass legs, some people have short ass legs that's okay

Also he gets silly eyeball underwear because having my characters look like Barbie dolls with absolutely nothing there is weird, so they all get fucking shorts
