A vegan bbq where all the animals are living
Someway, somehow my three best friends & I have all gone to school to study photography, and are super cool kid vegans 😂✌🏻👩👩👧👧 (at Cedar Row Farm Sanctuary)
Omg how adorable is Bardot?! He fell off a truck on a cold February night and a couple found him and brought him to @cedarrow where he now happily spends all of his days.
Cedar row farm sanctuary is located in Ontario, Canada, which is actually where I'm from! For the month of May, 10% of all sales will be donated to @cedarrow to help them help the animals ☺️
Pigs are such beautiful, gentle, kind, intelligent creatures that deserve nothing but love and freedom. Just look at that face! Unfortunately many people just look at pigs like Bardot and they see bacon or pork chops or something 😢 it breaks my heart.
I hope one day everyone will be able to make the connection and see these animals as friends, not food 🐷

This is Wilburt the pot belly pig. I am currently fostering him for Cedar Row Farm Sanctuary . Cedar row mostly deals in giving escaped slaughter house pigs, homes/ rescue farms to live out the rest of their piggy lives.
Wilburt is 2 years old and only about 20 lbs (very underweight). He loves food and treats, especially when he gets to search for them. Some of his favourite treats are apples, carrots, dates, frozen grapes/ bananas. Wilburt is potty trained to go inside (litter) or outside. He loves walks but hates the snow. He's very curious and likes to explore. Wilburt is also VERY good with the cats even though they aren't too fond of him.
His previous owner fell ill and wasn't able to care for him financially/physically. She thought that having a pig would be a "fun way to have a cool pet that can be left alone for hours". She was feeding him guinea pig food (huge no no) so that she could try and keep him smaller. Just from the few hours that I've had Willburt in my care I can tell you that he needs constant stimulation. As soon as he gets bored, he will begin to get into things (knocking over garbage, pulling out recycling etc). Some pigs will start to chew on furniture and other objects.
Yes, pigs are cute, funny and a joy to have around but they are a lot of responsibility and not a pet to purchase/adopt on a whim. Pigs are very smart, and are said to have the brain capacity of a 2-3 year old human. Before adopting a pig, first make sure that it is legal to own one in your city. Do your research: You may want a pig, but you may not be able to give them the constant stimulation that they need. A lot of people purchase pot belly pigs when they're small, thinking they will stay that size forever; they do not. Research behaviours, teach yourself how to train them, ask questions to those with experience, and if you get a chance to foster, do it. It's already been a huge learning experience for myself.
Wilburt is looking for his forever home, so if you are willing to give him the proper care & nutrition that he needs, please feel free to contact Cedar Row here!
