Saying this cause I saw it mentioned in the reblogs of that other post and there seems to be a misconception.
I fucking love the Eldar Harlequins but the Solitaires are my favourite cause there is something insanely cool about them being DAMNED for what they do.
Cegorach protects his own, the Harlequins are nigh-incorruptable by Chaos and their souls are protected by the Trickster, never to be devoured by HER-who-thirsts save for the Solitaires.
The Solitaires don the mask of the Corruptor, they play the part of Slaanesh itself in the Grand Play as the Harlequins reenact the Fall of the Eldar and they are the ones who commit the most heinous deeds that Cegorach deems necessary for his great plans.
While the other Harlequins are protected and their souls safe the Solitaires' path is that of Damnation. The greatest sacrifice they make is their morality, their connection to others, never allowed to be close to others except to kill and do the will of Cegorach, and their souls already forfeit to the Greatest Enemy.
When they die every Harlequin's soul belongs to Her-who-Thirsts but so long as they draw breath they walk with corruption, they dance with apathy but never let it lead, the Solitaire is the greatest conman, the greatest trickster, the most masterful assassin and although Cegorach is known to have saved a precious fews' souls from Slaanesh when they enter this path they do so knowing full well that their very souls are the price they pay.
