I have finished the scultping/masking tape, I can finally start the paper mache and get them painted and then finally hung from the ceiling.
They’re supposed to look janky as they’re based on a 500 yr old taxidermied crocodile that’s been hanging from a ceiling and are missing some teeth and feet.
One of these days im gonna sit down on my desktop and talk about cieling crocodiles on here like a proper person and the origin of dragons instead of putting it off and thinking my bsky thread is gonna be good enough.
Im also still gonna do a tutorial on that flying bird mobile thing i’ve just been getting used to my new medication and cleaning my studio in preparation for it
When you dig in your drafts and find the ceiling crocodile pin idea you sat on and never did.
Was gonna have them free swinging while attached to their respected pieces that were the pinned part based on the ceiling art or whatever they were attached to or a symbol of the church they hung in. Many seemingly associated with Mother Mary(which would make sense considering Mary became popular shortly after the black plague of the 1300’s)
But yeah, never ended up doing them sadly, and probably never will. 🤷
