Syros, or Siros or Syra is a Greek island in the Cyclades, in the Aegean Sea. 

The largest towns are Ermoupoli, Ano Syros, and Vari. Ermoupoli is the capital of the island and of the Cyclades. It has always been a significant port town, and during the 19th century it was even more significant than Piraeus.

This ceiling painting is incredible. It blew my mind and it sparked my love of ceiling paintings throughout the entire trip.

My community college is over 100 years old and I loved the campus I thought it was very beautiful. I went back after a year to give a friend a tour and it was a nice walk down memory lane
