Figured it out, the English Shuffle is an April Fool's day song about learning English. Might need to swap out Tori since he's already been in an April Fools. They start with the basic "this is a pen" and then end with Kasa singing his heart out the hardest words to say as a native Japanese speaker. Polysyllabic words with lots of end consonant sounds. Obscure terminology. The entire Unraveled Pokémon rap.

And then a few months later, they have an actual shuffle story and song. And an app. Blindside every Enstarrie now that the servers are caught up on April Fools

I really hope it’s not bait or it ends up being something like the agape kind of love or something. They are really pushing the God Jesus thing, and while it bring agape wouldn’t be surprising, I’d be hella disappointed if someone phrased something like THAT and then not go through with it

Yeah, well... whatever those feelings actually are* I don’t personally expect them going well at this point. Partly because it’s only episode 9 of a 12 episode anime, and partly because of episode 8, which ended with Shindou reaffirming his identity as a human, and from the previews this episode seems to show Zashunina at his most non-human so far, so I imagine there’s going to be a wedge between them.

*I mean with context it seems really obvious, but the “moyamoyashita omoi” part seems like a quote from the interview, and on its own it’s not quite clear-cut. Hell, for all we know he’s jealous because he fancies Saraka or Hanamori or whatever... :D Plus it’s Animage, they might be just playing it up.

I've joked about this with my society, but they should make a shuffle with the seiyuu that can speak English, or other languages if there are more than two, at a higher than Japanese high school level (so like Kaoru, Hiiro, Tori, maybe throw Subaru's German in for fun, etc). We haven't decided whether it would be funnier if they have to sing an actual song in other languages or if it would be like One Semester Of Spanish Spanish Love Song kind of song.

And then Tsukasa is there.

He's also in the shuffle.

that would be so fun , i think it would be more interesting if the song wasnt in japanese. i really want them to give kaoru especially an english song cuz i love his va. if they do release english songs i hope they get a native english speaker to write it tho. cuz the english in the existing songs.... leaves much to be desired

This giant batch of translations made me remember to thank you guys for translating, redrawing, typesetting, etc. literally everything. But for this ask, I just wanted to specifically thank you guys for all the translations. A lot of other groups skip the author's notes or the end of volume extras, but what really gets to me is how you guys ALSO TRANSLATE THE HAIKUS. AND MAKE THEM WORK IN ENGLISH TOO. It's amazing
