i listened and learned and now i am no longer fazed by the lightning tribulations

this time they made a sword undergo the lightning tribulations and thats okay it's allowed sometimes the sword has to do the tribulations too and thats okay and i didn't even have to stop and blink a little about it

#in the tags here in secret I will admit that MAYBE i was a little teeny bit fazed by the sword having to undergo the lightning tribulations #truly a “even the car gets in trouble” type situation #but anyway i have read a Several wuxia/xanxia series now #so I am finally starting to get a handhold on some of the tropes and the staples of the genre #therefore #now that i have experienced more works #I can say that I am feeling fairly justified in my previous baffledness #because the novels I have read since have been a LOT better at having some sort of context that frames what is happening and why #AND they've also had translator footnotes explaining various everythings #it just turns out that the novel I jumped into the genre with Just so Happened to be the one where BOTH the author and translator were like #“and of course you already know All of this so we're just gonna breeze right through it”
