True form Azrael. 💫

The wolf form is more of just a host shell it took over from the planet it ended up landing on. Azrael is basically an alien species called a Celestial that gets mistaken for ‘angels’ or ‘gods’ by planet inhabitants.

Day 16: Kirin YES I DO NOTICE THE FIRST PICTURE IS SUB-PAR QUALITY I DON’T KNOW WHAT HAPPENED BUT I’LL REPLACE THE FILE SOON I would say I am speechless over this one, but I suppose text and talk are two different things right? Dedicated to my husband, since this is his favorite mythological creature. This picture is symbolic to me in how we first met and have progressed over the years- so in a way this is a little piece about our ‘origin story as a couple’ disguised as a piece of fantasy art?  A little bit of personal trivia: This is the creature I see my Patronus as. Inktober#15, Legend of the 4 Celestial Beasts: In Japanese: Seiryu, Suzaku, Byakko, and Genbu. In Chinese, Qīnglóng, Zhūquè, Báihǔ, Xuánwǔ, In English: Azure Dragon, Vermilion Bird, White Tiger, Black Tortoise.  Legend had it there was a 5th beast, some wrote it was a Gold/ Yellow Dragon, some interpretation had it it was a Kirin. I left that one out for another time to draw. I was first introduced to these beasts when I was recruited into a game guild named Mythos back in the days. They named each division to these 4 creatures.
