them as artists, as musicians and best of all as humble, loving, caring, deserving of all things good, lovely human beings. So being into the kpop scene a lot, I kinda stopped listening to other music cuz again time being a huge factor limited my music largely to kpop. After Boy With Luv was released, I’ll admit I was pretty skeptical about Halsey being legit and the song in itself. The fact that they incorporated Halsey into this didn’t sit well with me for some reason? And tbh I honestly (2/?
thought she was piggybacking on their success train. And this was like right at the beginning when they released the song. A while passes and a Halsey song comes up randomly on shuffle and despite my prior dislike for her, I fell in love with it. I didn’t like the fact that I liked her songs? Anyway, I go on and somehow my dislike for her slowly melts away with every song, mv, short snippet, interview, etc. Now I’ll tell you WHY I took time out of my day at 12 am to reply to this. (3/?)
I replied cuz over the course of the past few months, I fell in love with that woman. Not exclusively for her music but for her morals, beliefs, her desire to pour out her emotions into her music, her “I don’t give a fuck about what they’ll say but I’m gonna say whatever I want” attitude, the way she doesn’t just sing when she performs, she makes Art in it’s rawest form. In her most recent lives of graveyard? She LITERALLY makes art on stage. That’s why I love her. For her it’s not just (4/?)
a performance but performing is like breathing to her. She puts her bare soul on the stage when she performs and its honestly so damn beautiful. Her fan base is huge as is and she loves us to death. She protects us like we’re her children regardless of age, she makes sure EVERYONE has a chance to be a part of her community. To the anon, you said that BTS went through a lot to get where they are and I cannot agree with you more. All of their hard work is paying off because (5/?)
they like her puts they’re heart and soul into performing and loves each and every one of us, their fans like family. But so did she. And what even is this comparison tbh. Both parties make music that transcends language and other barriers for people to listen to and come together as a family. Their music is a lot of different things for a lot of people. To some, it’s the reason they literally live and doesn’t end it all and for others, it’s a coping mechanism. But it all boils down to (6/?).

Halsey is such a beautiful person inside out and I’m sorry but I cannot stand by and read about some (pardon my language) bullshit about her leeching off of BTS’ success and not do anything. She loves them and they love her and yeah they’re grown enough to know who’s a fake and not so I’d appreciate if you chose your words wisely next time you decide to unnecessarily shade some other (7/?)
hardworking artist/person without solid facts. I love the boys and I love Halsey. I’m not going into comparison, but both of their music helps me through my darkest days and I’ll always love them and their music to bits. And I hope both sides just get a lot of love and support from everywhere and continue to make music and inspire others like me. Aw this is really sweet to read. I think it shows that humans can be quick to judge when we know nothing about a certain person/situation.
