Do you mind if I ask what you didn’t like about the ending? I didn’t mind it personally but I love hearing other people’s opinions as well!
i just made a long rant post about it but to summarize, everything post-phase-2 of the calamity ganon fight was just...it was going through the motions. phase 2 never even felt like a threat, first of all.
but the thing that gets me MOST, really, is how anti-climatic it all was? zelda seals him and that’s really just IT? our fallen comrades who’s ghosts are clearly there in the true ending don’t?? try to talk to her at all?? congratulate her on what she’s done? or offer a shoulder to cry on after all of those years?
and she’s like, so OKAY with fitting into the role she seemed SUUUUUUPER opposed to throughout the game? sure 100 years is a long time to think about it i guess but like, they REALLY should have explored that shit more, since they made it a VERY BIG DEAL throughout the memories.
and not to mention just? getting on your horse? and riding off? thats REALLY it?
there are things that needed to be said, but none of them do, and tbh the biggest thing for me is just how they butchered the character they worked very hard to build up at the end. because they did. they built zelda up only to completely let her fall flat and be “generic princess zelda role”, which fucking SUCKS considering this game was supposed to shake the conventions of the series, but zelda couldn’t have?? done something more than what she did??
i mean for fucks sake its like they didnt try when it came to the ending
i get that its hard to write a nonlinear story but like HELL dude pls dont........pls dont completely destroy what you had going like that..........
