First Car Memories

Early 70s Toyota Celica GT

This was one of the first cars I bought back in the day that I drove the heck out of. Drove it all over the state of Texas. Kept up the maintenance myself. Did the overhaul with one of my best friends. Then passed it on (for the same $500 I paid for it) to another person that drove it even further.

Classic blue on blue with GT package, my TCGT never burned a drop of oil - awesome gas mileage - had to do some modifications to front seats (wear over time) - redo upholstery on front seats as well (wear of course) .... it was my first foreign car purchase and I miss that lil TCGT, BIG time. I purchased from a lady (own owner) with a lil over 75,000 miles on the car. I resold with 189,000 miles on it - WITH - a brand new cassette player!! 😎👍🏼
