playing string instruments is really good for my brain bc the absolute Best way to care for a stringed instrument is to make sure it's played regularly. so as an adult with 0 musical responsibilities, who has to find creative ways to inspire myself to play/practice, it's really nice to be able to outsource the lion's share of that motivation. like oh who cares if you don't feel like tuning up and playing this weekend. there is a highly specialized piece of artisan craftsmanship in the corner of your living room that Needs You. have a little respect for your things.

thinking about no matter how old i am or how many years its been since i stopped playing i will always be a cellist and nothing will ever sever the connection i have with music… whenever times are hard i physically ache with the need to play and my hands tremble with the expectation of taking everything in my heart and turning it into music again. many thoughts head full

kpop as an industry is super dicey but i’m ngl i think the music is more enjoyable than a lot of western music. and i adore bts and txt with my whole soul <3
