Y’know what I think is depressing? Theres no GOOD phospholipid earrings out there. I googled it. There’s these silver things that are labeled that but they’re boring.

I need like phospholipids close up that look like the diagrams we get in biology with big heads and the like blue and purple and yellow tails yknow?????

This is a rough overview of a cellular membrane. What it doesn't say is that proteins don't just allow signals to pass through, they selectively allow specific things through based on the the needs of the cells and the concentrations of substances on either side. Some things, like water, pass through via osmosis because they are normally regulated by the concentrations of K+ or Na+ on either side, which are more actively regulated. But other things, like glucose, are not allowed through unless they're needed and then have to be carried through via facilitated transport. Still other harmful substances are excluded altogether. 

This is roughly how I visualize and create my circles. It isn't complete 1:1 translation, but it is very similar to how I conceptualize my circles and how they react when created.
