Another introduced weed growing on top of the mountain in Canberra.
AKA feverfoullie, and gentian. The genus was named after Chron the Centaur, who in the mythology was highly skilled in medicine and herbology - a reference to one of the uses of the plant.
Like the thistle previously, widespread Europe, western Asia, and parts of northern Africa.Also like the thistle, introduced to North America, New Zealand, and eastern Australia.
