Another introduced weed growing on top of the mountain in Canberra.

AKA feverfoullie, and gentian. The genus was named after Chron the Centaur, who in the mythology was highly skilled in medicine and herbology - a reference to one of the uses of the plant.

Like the thistle previously, widespread Europe, western Asia, and parts of northern Africa.Also like the thistle, introduced to North America, New Zealand, and eastern Australia.

Erythrée petite centaurée

L'érythrée petite centaurée, petite centaurée commune, petite centaurée rouge, érythrée, herbe à fièvre ou Centaurium erythraea de la famille des Gentianacées, est une plante herbacée annuelle ou bisannuelle qui se rencontre de juin à septembre dans des pâturages humides. Cette érythmée mesure de 10 à 30 centimètres, les fleurs sont roses à 5 pétales formant des groupes de grappes.
