This guy could be a politician. Check his thermostat while he lectures his customers about upping their AC temps in the summer.

important to me to draw pinups once n awhile
imagine being so incompetent as a power company that a burger app is doing a better job at tracking power outages than u
It's time to vent, y'all. My favorite excuses for Centerpoint's failures:
1) There was so much damage to the lines by falling trees! They can't fix that overnight!
- No, but they could have prevented some of the damage by maintaining the lines between storms like they're supposed to.
2) They are bringing in workers from out of state! They can't work till they've had safety briefings! You must want the workers to DIE!
- These workers could have been staged and trained beforehand. The thing about hurricanes is........ we know where they're going. Speaking of which....
3) Beryl changed track at the last minute! Workers were out of place!
-I can drive the distance between where the eye was predicted to go and where it ended up in 90 minutes or less. It didn't change that much and it was on track to hit one of the biggest Metropolitan areas in the country no matter what. They did not adequately prepare.
4) Saying you hate centerpoint means you hate the line workers! You're one of those people threatening them!
- Demanding better management means giving our linemen a better quality of work and life. Don't you put the workers out to be human shields for shitty C-suite suits. If they had put their responsibilities over profits, the workers wouldn't be in this situation and neither would the customers.
4) You don't know anything about how this works! We were out of power during Ike for 10 days and this is just day 5! You're an entitled brat!
-Yeah and? Ike was a category 2. Beryl was a cat 1. And repairs are slated to take longer than 10 days. I'm ready to go back to my house, but I'm sitting pretty with family who have power. But I've also got loved ones who are working at (and a patient of) one of the few hospitals in our corner of town to have power. And they've got people lining the ER hallways because they can't discharge them with oxygen till the power is on at their house. Their workers are tired. I was there last night and they looked dead on their feet.
So yeah, you know what? I'm pissed. And I'm going to keep on complaining about how this was handled because I'm tired of seeing people on the front lines of these situations being ground into the dirt. I have lived on the gulf coast my entire life. I don't need to be able to run an energy company to see that this storm might not have been preventable, but a lot of the chaos afterwards WAS.

Centerpoint - Crochet Blanket REVEAL
Centerpoint – Crochet Blanket REVEAL
I’m so excited to be able to share this new design with you!
It’s been a massive undertaking; probably the largest crochet project I’ve ever made, and all with a teeny tiny 3mm hook!
I love the pastel rainbow, all brought together with the soft white stripes radiating out from the centre.
The Centerpoint blanket is made with Scheepjes Organicon, their first certified organic (and vegan)…
