Indiana culture is going to a festival in the neighboring village, participating in the child rank watermelon eating competition, losing, receiving a bike lock with the rest of the kids as a participation prize along with a cheerful "safety first!" from the organizers, showing it off to your father--who like the rest of the Indiana adults, is a gun owner--and have him look at the very short lock and immediately say "That's a gun lock" as you proceed to take a look at the plastic wrap packaging and see that it is, in fact, a gun lock you received as a participation prize for the child rank watermelon eating contest
