Alastor Malich, the Centipede Prince, Eidolon of Shadow, and some ideas for his Scary Mask collection. In Exalted, he's the champion of a group of Nightmare Gods, essentially the "Chosen of Halloween Town". Masks and disguises are a big thing with him (especially because his face bandages are obnoxious to draw). His main mask, I want to look like a classic Friday the 13th Hockey Mask, but carved out of bone, and painted with a Manticore face (his totem beast, as per yesterday's post). I'm not sure how I feel about the "mane" of spikes though.
One thing Exalted 3rd Edition is adding is "evocations", magic techniques that you draw out of an object you have a close connection to, usually a magic weapon. Evocations are in addition to the "default" magic properties of the item that anyone in possession of it can access, and represent a strong personal link between that item and your legend, which may grant you access to unique effects depending on your history with the item. It's a thing you see a lot in Anime, where the hero has an awesome magical weapon, but has to learn to access its advanced supernatural traits like he would learn a martial arts technique, rather than just picking it up and having all its neat traits available at will.
Since most of the Centipede Prince's weapons are disposable Throwing Knives (and Darts, Needles, Caltrops, Shuriken, etc.), I don't expect he'll forge very close ties at all to any of them. His main non-throwing knife, the Eisenzahn, will likely have a pretty substantial Evocation tree. But I mention this because I intend his masks to each carry Evocations related to the gods, devils, goblins, ghosts and monsters that they're patterned after. He carries so many so he can draw different capabilities out of each, as needed. Pretty much, when he fights, he fights like a specific sort of Nightmare, tailored to the phobias of his adversary.
When a fight's getting serious, he probably goes into battle with multiple masks hanging from his belt, or worn as pauldrons, kneepads, or bucklers, where they're easier to access and swap for the one on his face than if they were stowed in his bags. Probably the only reason he doesn't wear a bandolier of them at all times is that they'd be noisy clinking together, and he is primarily a Ninja.
