Once again admitted to the hospital. It feels like my body can't handle it any longer, can't handle anymore. Starting to have a 104F/40C fever Thursday night, it went away but came back Friday and I wasn't allowed to have fevers, because I was (and still am) on iv antibiotics. It's day 4 in the hospital and they still don't know for sure where the infection/fevers are coming from. It could be my central line that's infected but there's also a possibility my shunt (LP and VP shunt) are both infected again. I'm very afraid it's my shunt again, because my IIH symptoms are getting worse and my neck and head are killing me. The internal medicine doctors are going to contact my neurosurgeon asap to decide what to do. We can try to get this central line out and put a new one in, if the fevers are coming down that's probably the source of the infection (it probably isn't, but it's less invasive than getting my shunts out so they thinks it's worth to try but don't think it will work), but it'll depends on what the neurosurgeon think is best to do atm. Really could use some positive vibes. #sepsissurvivor #sepsis #spoonielife #spoonie #invisibleillness #chronicillness #vpshunt #lpshunt #centralline #centralvenousline #ivantibiotics #infection #fever #keepmeinyourthoughts #hospital #hospitallife #intracranialhypertension #iihsucks #headachefromhell #blurredvision #justwantsomerelief #slowlygivingup (bij Isala Ziekenhuis Zwolle)
