“Yoongi, don’t talk so drastically...it was just a joke.” He heaved deeply, gripping the door handle severely. “It can’t be a joke every time y/n she’s done worse before, her and her husband.” Sighing, unsure if it was safe to touch him you put your hand on the handle next to his. “Min, they hate me because you love me, if you want it resolved maybe we should lay low...take something like a break?” Of course you didn’t mean it, but the complications at work were becoming a bit detrimental.
His head turned at lighting speed, with a look of disgust almost. “Break? You can’t be serious don’t ever say something like that again, and I’ll do what I please, we should we hide ourselves she’ll start waking around with her head high like she won.” He let go of the handle leaning against the door looking deeply into you. “I’ll fire her.” You rolled your eyes “Yoongi please she needs to work.” “Stop being so damn sweet, this is the same person that soiled your clothes, cracks jokes about you...she bullies you she should’ve been out of here.” He put his hand in his pocket, checking his watch on his other wrist. “We’re almost done for the day anyway... you go to my place without me I’ll meet you there.” Taking his watch clad hand in yours, you could tell he was still furious.
“Alright if you insist, but what’ll you be doing yoongs?” You attempted to turn the atmosphere playful. “Baby, you insist on disobeying my requests.” Chuckles dryly. “I’ll be talking to Kim, and Lucy.” “Lucy, why?” “I’m giving her Kim’s position, a promotion.” He leans swiftly pecking your cheek before opening the door for you both to exit, not giving you a chance at questioning him further. He follows closely behind all eyes on you, a grimace on Eunji’s features. It’s like you had a fat red target right in the middle of your face. “Actually, why don’t you just head out now.” Yoongi mumbled before leaving your side, quickly heading to his office his fist curled in a rough grip.
You hung your head low like a shy school girl, going to collect your bag and belongings from your cubicle. Only to find Jimin completing the papers you’d left. “Heading home miss Raman booty?” He mumbled without turning, a pen between his teeth, his fingers typing with stealth. “I hate you Jimin.” Laughing he let the pen fall, leaning in the chair finally facing you. “You ok?” You nodded giving a warm smile. “Good, here’s your thousand dollar sack.” He handed you your purse, he’s full of jokes today, you responded with a low chuckle. “Wait before you go, whats the 411 on the bosses mood?” “Mm angry, go in quickly and quietly and leave the same way.” He nodded going back to the computer, “Ah, so not the day for pay increase forms? Gotcha.” You laughed before walking away, ready to be rid of the grimy feeling you were getting from work today.
Avoiding eye contact, you focus on the rythmatic clicking of your pumps until you entered the silver elevator. Leaning against the glass window you watched as you descended through the building. Finally meeting the last floor quickly freeing yourself sighing one more trek to take, that being into the parking garage. Silent and eerie, it oddly relaxed you you found your car quickly. It’s always there right next to Yoongi’s ever since the first day you started.
The thought warmed you, feelings of your boyfriends love floating around you. Hopping in your car you threw the gifted purse in the back seat, just before you could start up your phone rang, Yoongi of course. “Hey Yoongi” ”Ah, you sound happier already.” Reclining your seat you sighed. “I was thinking of you.” He hummed in approval. “Cute, hm I do the same to calm myself...thinking of you of course.” Giggling you responded “reason for calling?” “I wanted to say I love you, and I want you to go straight home.” He orders blandly. “Tsk I wanted to shop a bit.” You joke putting your seat back into position. “Y/n straight home, no questions.” “Yeah I heard you Daddy.” You joked starting your vehicle. “Good, I’ll see you soon, love you...say it back.” “I love you Yoongi, of course.” He sighed softly, checking your surroundings you pulled back waiting for him to hang up. “Alright bye...Jimin get out.” The phone call ended.
Relaxed you drove through your city, it’s a bit later in the day the faces of people passing linger in your mind. A soft tune plays from the radio, resting at a light your eyes wandered to the beagle place Yoongi always insists on getting breakfast from. His friends little hole in the wall. Letting your mind wander, he really is a romantic. Finishing the length of the trip you finally reach your destination, a discreet apartment on the edge of town with a not so discreet price. Reaching for your purse you got out of the car, frankly mentally and physically exhausted. “Mrs min! Welcome back!” You’re warmly greeted at the door, “no still y/l/n,good afternoon.” Warmly you smile thanking him for opening the door, yet another elevator to take you where you needed to be.
On the home stretch, trudging towards the door unlocking it you fumbled inside sighing taking in his scent that floated about. With your eyes closed you dropped your bag shuffling to the couch. Kicking off the shoes you let gravity take over thumping onto the firm furniture. The light jingling, made a smile spread on your lips. “Is that my best boy!?” You opened your eyes, greeted with Min Holly his coffee colored paws giving you pets on your head. “My Beautiful little one.” Kissing him on the temple, and gifting him to a few pets and scratches he was satisfied with your greeting he let you be at rest.
Pulling from the couch, you fulfilled the routine of grabbing a snack and skipping upstairs to shower. Stripping you ventured Yoongi’s bedroom in the nude, in search for the clothes you’d left there. Giving up you opted for a pair of briefs and a t-shirt.
Finishing the shower, you cuddled into bed wallowing on the plush mattress in search of a comforting position, engulfing your senses in Yoongi’s scent. Turing on the tv you rolled over, the bed felt cold without your cuddle baby. “Hmm Holly! C’mere little boy!” Joyously he ran in jumping next to you cuddling into your warm side. “We’ll nap and wait for Daddy huh?”
NOW READING FROM: Yoongi’s point of view.
“Are you sure Min, I mean I’m flattered but I just started about a month ago-” I held up my hand to stop her nervous speech. “I’m positive, I’ve observed your work ethic I’m sure you could keep up Lucy, the pay is great the work is easy....more time to speak to Jungkook hm?” Her cheeks blushed light rose at the mention of his name. “But what about uhm..Eunji?” She spoke of her coworker in hushed tones, like she was some sort of demon.
“Kim Eunji has been polluting our work area, making others feel uncomfortable...and uncomfortable means less work getting done, I’ll see about her don’t worry.” Toying with her manicured fingers, such a shy girl, “so what’s your answer?” She sighed brushing a stray hair behind her ear, “Mr Min, when do I start?” She held a coy smile, slowly looking up to make eye contact. “Ah! Smart girl!” I distributed my hand for her to shake in agreement. “You’ll start Monday, we’ll have it all sorted by then.” Nodding she let go of my hand, “thank you Mr Min.” “Of course Lucy I know I won’t regret it, enjoy your night sorry for keeping you late.” Now almost all of her face had a glow of blush, “oh it’s fine Mr Min I don’t mind I didn’t have anything to do tonight anyways, how a-” “ask Eunji to come in for me please, Good night Lucy thank you.”
Shutting up he gave a quick smile and nod before leaving quicker than she came. Eunji pranced in almost eagerly a subtle smirk playing on her cherry lips. “It’s late Yoongi I have to get home.” “Home to what...a cold shower and empty bed? Come sit.” I smirked as she complied, “what do you want Min...if you’re looking for apologies you wont-” “I just wanted to talk to you.” She shut her painted lips, nodding giving me room to speak.
“You’ve been acting out Kim, and I think I know why.” She folded her arms defensively humming a response. “Oh yeah?” Her cocky tone only deepened my concealed rage. “You’re missing someone, your husband maybe?” She rolled her eyes, poking her tongue along her cheek. “What about it?” She began to toy with the small figurines that decorated my desk. “Well, he misses you too...I’ve made the decision to let you go if you’d like.”
“It isn’t time for him to come back, he’s been on the trip for months.” She mumbles smiling down at a framed picture of Holly. Scoffing I took the image back, “Joon, he likes it there he’s been having issues contacting you so he’s said....but he’s made the choice to transfer and stay at the location.” She looked intensely Into my eyes, confused yet gullible.
“He’s gotten a good place, he wants to move you there...he misses you more than you know, and the way you’ve been acting out of line I think you feel the same.” She huffs, nodding slowly. “Alright, you’ll treat my flight the same you did his?” Greedy little bitch...“yes, paid and full, you’ll be able to contact him at the airport hm?” Finally a soft smile spreads her lips, she huffs a low chuckle. “Really?” “Would you like to see the messages and paperwork?”
In hopes she’d say no I still pulled open the side drawer, a single word held her fate as I gripped the heavy weapon. It would be messy and against the plan if she’d decided to take this route. “No..no, why would you lie about sending me on all expenses paid long term vacation.” I smirked nodding while closing the drawer. “So you’ve agreed to joining him?” Sighing she tamed wisps of her dark hair, raking the back into her loose ponytail.
I pushed the legal paper forward a ballpoint rests atop of it. “When do I leave, do I get a chance to say goodbye?” She mumbles leaving her signature along the dotted spaces. Goodbye? Who would want to farewell a she-demon like you. “I’m afraid not, your flight is scheduled for tomorrow 7AM...you should get home actually.” I checked my timepiece briefly.
She stood silently, “ah ah wait, Eunji...it’s late you’re tired allow me to drive you home.” She furrows her brows, giving a suspicious look. “I’ll miss you Kim, you were one of the first people here you and Namjoon.” She lowered herself in the seat her expression now compassionate.
I didn’t lie, Eunji was exhausted...the bags under her eyes almost frightening. She was once the best dressed, best looking, and best worker here. Jealousy had eaten her, and the absence of her Lover only made her worse. “Ah Min, you won’t miss me...you’re sending me away to protect your little hook up, she moan like I used to?” My cheeks began to redden, “no, her’s are better.” Guilt set in sourly. I lied right to y/n’s face to save my ass.
Kim Eunji had made me a liar, a cheater and a bad businessman...all the more reason for her fate. “Hm, if you say so.....how about we go to your place.” Her smirk detailed more than she’d let on. “One last time.” She’s always been scandalous, she could never learn a lesson, she’d never get enough. She saw an opportunity to finally sink her teeth into what she envied, and sinking her teeth is what she planned on doing.
“Tempting, can’t wait for mr kim huh?” I attempted to participate in her now lustful staring. “Hmm, you won’t make me will you?” I set free a chuckle, letting my fingertips glide my lip. “Your place, we can make it an all night thing...you can bring me to get my car in the morning.” She collected her expensive shoulder bag. “No, y/n is at my place, probably out cold by now....I’ll bring you somewhere with a romantic view, you’ll get back to your car tonight.” She frowned at the mention of her name, pulling her wisps of hair back.
“Fine, but don’t say her name anymore tonight.” Nodding I stood offering a hand to help her up and she refused with a bratty giggle, leaving the office. She removed her heels walking barefoot to the elevator, I paced hot on her trail, finally catching her as she stood idle in the spacious elevator.
The elevator couldn’t reach the final floor fast enough for me, she’d gotten comfortable the guilt of cheating on her husband nonexistent. Sighing in frustration eyeing my watch. She toyed with my fingers leaning against me, “why’d you replace me huh?” She pouted interlocking our fingers, her fridged rings kissed my skin harshly. “Excuse me?” She sighed, “we were messing around and you...found y/n.” I chuckled as the doors pulled open. “You were engaged...nothing more would’ve developed anyway.”
Eunji and I had held countless endeavors right under Namjoon’s nose, flirtatious, casual, sexual. But he was everything but oblivious, he was just lenient until he found out the depth of our friendship. So he decided to test the waters with y/n, it was extremely unacceptable. Eunji was engaged after all, I do have some self respect. I never replaced her, I just found someone I actually loved, someone who needed me and only me.
She only laughed at my reasoning, following me giddily to my car, I opened the passenger and let her inside. I already had her fate planned. She’d been the thorn in y/n’s side ever since she’d started, she’d come running to me in tears over the things Eunji would say...the things she’d do. They treated her like a rag doll the new girl fresh to adulthood, she knew nothing better than to follow and comply.
Eunji was given warning after warning, I hate firing people but for her I’d make an exception. But y/n she’s so sweet...it’ll kill her to know Eunji was walking around jobless because of her sensitivity. So what am I to do? I’ll just make her leave silently...on her own. I’ll make her disappear.
“Where are we going?” She pushed my knee aggressively, I’d zoned out completely roaming my thoughts a dangerous thing to do behind the wheel. Absentmindedly I’d driven past our false “date”, ultimately finding ourselves in the dark. “There is this bridge, it’s romantic y/n loves it.” I fibbed, how much of an idiot could I be...this mishaps could fuck everything I’d planned. I pulled onto said bridge, vacant, thankfully just how I needed it. I turned the car off, in pitch black I could feel her looking at me.
“Huh, what a view.” She quips, “well don’t be ungrateful.” The moment before the fall is always awkward, “hm...recline the seat.” She ordered, I personally didn’t enjoy her tone. I let my seat slowly fall back and she leaned over the center console. Blindly fiddling my pant buckle. Oh shit. Oh no. Waves of guilt washed over me at the simple thought of what she was attempting.
This had to be it, she’d made it to my briefs with ease, trailing her manicured fingers along my member. This had to happen now or the outcome I’d been planning would definitely go to shit. I put an end to her exploration, gripping the back of her neck with great force she mewled like a harmed animal. “F-fuck Min, feeling rough?”
No way would this be easy or clean in the car. “Shut up.” I gritted, now griping her hair making her whine and cry out. “P-please wait.” “What the fuck did I say?” Opening my door I pulled her from the car on my side. This needed to be quick and clean, this bridge was all too public and constantly frequented for me to be leaving a messy scene on.
What smart girl, she tried to escape only to be pained by my iron grip on her mane. “Why so scared...you wanted me right?” “M-m-Min! Please I’m sorry, tell her I’m sorry...sorry-so sorry.” I kicked the pit of her knee causing her to collapse on the cold gravel. “One sorry Bitch you are, I couldn’t even pay you to keep your mouth shut.”
“Think of all you did to that innocent woman...ruined her clothes, sent her on wild goose chases in a county she’s never been in, made her fall down the stairs, turned half the office against her...so evil you even made your sleazy husband her personal predator.” She sobbed pathetically, “w-what....he did-wait?” Of course she was unaware as any idiot would be.
I knelt mumbling in her ear. “He touched my fucking girlfriend for months on end...She was so ashamed do you know how much it took for her to come and tell me?” She gagged on her sobs, choking herself on her cries. “I’m sorry, I’ll quit I’ll leave-no need to do this I’ll be gone by tomorrow.”
She whispers letting her body go limp. She thinks it’s so easy. “You sure will.” I grumbled reaching to pull my tie from my back pocket. “You can’t do shit to me- Joon- Joon will be lo-” “Joon his fucking dead. This right here.” I kicked her down pressing my foot into her soft back, to keep her still. She struggled to breath with my weight on her back, I crouch looping the long tie around her neck she ceased from fighting back as I wrapped it around my hands as well. Pulling with my angered strength, “this is the fucking business trip...enjoy the flight whore.”
She stoped struggling all together, pulling the fabric as tight as I could, I made sure the deed was done. She quit breathing, the ceased the struggle. Violently making sure she was gone, before I stored her in the trunk. My hands shook, the rush made my figure quake, I did my best to climb into the drivers seat.
Starting the car, it’s best in mind to flee as fast as I arrived. He’ll be pissed to high heaven, but at this moment theirs only one person to call. I scanned the road feeling beyond the edge, unsure of my final destination. Finally he felt the need to answer “Min, Min Yoongi-ah it is too late to be calling me this way!” He croaked through the phone .
“Jimin, hm a bonus?” “Excuse me?” He shuffled, I couldn’t continue to circle around here “Jimin...I need your help.” I groaned, I’d have to find somewhere to go before someone saw me driving suspiciously. “I’ve made another mistake....a messy one.” He gasped before mumbling complaints. “Why,Who and how much?” He grumbled, “meet me and I’ll let you know that.” “You know where to find me.” When all else fails, Jimin is the one to call. Partner in crime, cheater of justice and death.
NOW READING FROM : readers point of view.
Fear rolled over you as you came to the realization that is was almost 5 AM and Yoongi wasn’t in bed. Holly still occupied his spot, sprawled out in pure comfort. Enjoying the luxury of sleeping in the big bed.
Rubbing sleep from your eyes you shuffled your feet along the chilly floor, slipping in Yoongi’s slippers to adventure to the bathroom. You’d have to be back at work in some hours, Yoongi as well. It’s never like him to be late. After reliving yourself, washing up you’d realized the dryness of your mouth.
Aiding the feeling you took the trip downstairs, Holly’s paws hot on ur heels. “You thirsty too?” Rhetorically you questioned setting his dish for him, and grabbing a water for yourself, drinking it almost instantly. “You’ll get sick that way kitten.”
You choked in response, spitting the water onto the marbled counter. “What the fuck Yoongi, where’ve you been?” You spoke into the darkness, you didn’t hear him come in, maybe he was already home. “After I cleared some things up at work, Jimin and I had to...do some heavy work.” His voice held a quiver, unsure if it was of sadness or fear, maybe even anger.
“Ah well....come out of the dark, come over here.” You closed the the water, Holly had already met him in the living room. He neared, his features being shown from the glow of the kitchen lights. “Here, c’mon.” You sat on the island, back to him.
Something was off...he was hiding something, he was moving strangely with his words and actions. He came, leaving Holly on the floor he centers between your legs. Leaning on his palms on either side of you, “my shirt, my slippers, dressing up as me today?” You gave a soft smirk, “when’d you change?”
“At Jimin’s the work was messy.” “Ah...what’s that on your lip?” Taking your nail, you scrapped the flake of red from his top lip. “Been kissing other ladies...ladies in cheap red lipstick?” You giggled. His face ran pale at your joke, “n-no probably from Parks food, we were hungry.” You gazed in his eyes, “what’d you eat?” “Why?” Sighing you blew it off, “no reason, just curious...how’d it go with Eunji.”
He sighed leaned forward on the counter to stretch his back. It’s then when you caught a glimpse of something odd. “There was a struggle, but it’s all over now.” You held his shoulders, stopping him from moving back up, “Yoongi, you have this stuff all in your hair, where were you?” You brushed the stubborn dried substance with your fingers. “All on your neck.” You groomed him awaiting his answer. “Painting at Jimin’s.” Overpowering you he stood to his height.
You didn’t believe him, how could you? What paint job takes that long? How could it get on his hair? Down his neck? On his lips...nose as well? “I’m going to bed, kiss.” He pecked my cheek moving from my legs, Holly followed his escape. “Oh, and Jimin’s buddy gonna look at my car for a while I had to clean it out...left your lipstick.” He threw the tube for you to catch, it fell in your clutches.
“Yoongi, stop...where’d you get this?” “In the car, it’s yours baby.” He stood stiff on the stairs not turning around. “No, it’s not I can’t wear this...it fucks up my lips, I’m allergic.”
“It was Kim’s huh? You were out doing what you said you didn’t.” He turned glaring sinisterly. “I was out doing what I should’ve a while ago.”
You scoffed, he’s unbelievable, how could he. You’d began to plan your breakdown, how you’d destroy his home in a fit of rage. He’d cheated, lied, and didn’t care. “Kim Eunji and Kim Namjoon are dead.” He shared coldly, “any more questions miss curiosity?”
“No? Good now come up and clean me.”
In utter shock, you shook on top of the kitchen island. He’d made his way to the shower quickly, you heard the faint sprinkling. Sliding from your seat, in fear you followed his orders “now my love...don’t be afraid of me I do all things for you out of love.”
Moaning out pathetically I nodded, grounding my hands against Jimin’s biceps curling around them as he accelerated his pace, slamming his hips repeatedly against my fluttering cunt. The sensitivity from the last two orgasms made each thrust hurt so sweet, dancing between the line of pain and pleasure dangerously. Unsure weather to keen and cower, I whimpered almost lost in the feeling grounded only by soft sounds of our mixed groans. Clenching around Jimin wanting to bring him closer seemed like a wonderful idea but as I tightened around him again, it only heightened the budding feeling in my stomach again as I felt every vein along his member rub against my walls. “Want to make you cum so bad.....wanna make you feel good......please cum for me....fill me up please” I whispered roughly, kissing his neck sloppily.
Grasping my hand in his, I brought it down to rest on the faint bulge his member made against my lower abdomen. I raised up kissing his plump lips desperately clawing against his upper back as he continued pounding into me. As his warm seed filled me up, I felt myself being thrown into another orgasm. Riding out my high on his softer languid strokes, I whimpered as my utterly spent and over sensitive cunt fluttered against his cock. Shakily Removing my trembling hands from his back, I softly kissed his nose before falling back on the pillow.

"You're taking me so well, sweetheart," Jimin crooned as you put his hand on the bulge on your belly. "God…" his groan came out a little strangled as he felt your cunt squeeze his cock again, milking him of every last drop of cum. He slowed down, riding out his orgasm and your own. "You're a wonder, my darling," he breathed against your face and neck and shoulders, showering it with kisses.
Carefully pulling out, trying not to stimulate your oversensitive pussy any more, he lied beside you, propped on his side. His hand brushed the hair off your face as he looked you over, pleased with the marks on your neck and breasts. "Do you need anything, baby? A bath, perhaps?" he asked. You seemed quite drained from the intense sex, so he grabbed a couple of tissues from the nightstand and started to clean up the mixture of your highs between your legs, while he waited for your answer.

Park Jimin was considered to be one of the most important men amongst some of the top CEO’s, investors and socialites that were gathered at the annual META gala. This was an event where the top social class gathered around to see who were the biggest, brightest, the best and of course, the richest. However Jimin never found himself conversing in those types of conversations, he would much rather be off to the side having his more intimate chats with his friends and acquaintances with his date on his arm, though this year he was dateless. Both of his potential dates had cancelled on him, giving no reason other than they couldn’t make it. It mattered not; he could travel alone to this gala and not be judged for any eye candy on his arm. He could pull off the look of being lonely boy.
He was currently dancing with one of the wives of his potential business partners, Rufus Conway and his Latina wife, Sasha Conway. He danced with many of the wives, keeping up pleasantries and being a good sport, just like his father, Park Jaehyun, had taught him to be. He made small talk with Sasha, commenting on how he ‘admired’ her husband’s will to expand his company; even to a CEO like himself all the way in South Korea. He was walking her back to her husband when he caught a glimpse of flaming red walk past him. He couldn’t stop his eyes from trailing down the dark material, admiring how it clung to the voluptuous body that wore it. His eyes flickered up and caught the eyes that were staring right back at him.
Your eyes were stunning, he immediately felt enticed by your presence. He gulped and looked at Sasha when she tugged on his arm. “Mr Park? Are you okay?” She asked, and he nodded with a tight smile. “My husband is just there,” she pointed out, and led him towards the bar.
Jimin looked over his shoulder one last time, but you had disappeared, leaving him feeling slightly lost as his eyes quickly scanned the crowd but to no avail. You were gone. “Ah, Mr Park.” Jimin’s head shot around to look at the culprit of the voice and saw Rufus Conway staring at him with a grin on his face. Jimin smiled back and held his hand out to shake the American’s hand in a tight grip. “My wife seems to have become smitten with you,” the loud man joked, wrapping his arm around his wife’s waist.
Jimin laughed. “I seem to have the same problem with your wife, she is absolutely stunning,” said Jimin, winking at Sasha. The Latina giggled and leaned against her husband. “She has said many great things about you Mr Conway, I’m looking forwards to merging with you,” he said but his sight was drawn away from him and to where he could finally see you dancing with a man. You were beautiful, he thought with a sigh. “If you will excuse me for a moment,” he said to Rufus Conway, who nodded and smiled.
Jimin walked over to you, grabbing two glasses of wine from a waiter and wondered closer to where the crowd stood, watching those who danced. He waited until you made eye contact with him, over the shoulder of your dance partner, and winked, cocking a glass up. The corner of your lips titled upwards and you split from your dance partner, offering him no other words as you ditched him. You approached him slowly, your red lips kept shut as you silently took the offered glass from his hand.
“I’m Park Jimin, CEO of-“ You shushed him gently, cocking your head to the side. “I know who you are Mr Park, I am a very big fan of your work,” you said, taking a small sip of the wine. “I would suspect a man of your taste and,” you paused,” power, that you would have a woman on your arm tonight,” you said.
Jimin smiled bashfully, his free hand scratching the back of his neck before taking a large gulp from his glass. “I’ve had plenty of women on my arm tonight,” he joked.
You simply laughed. “Yes, I have watched you plenty, Mr Park, you’re a very fascinating man I must say,” you said. You set the now empty glass onto a table that was close to you and smiled. “If you will excuse me, I need to visit the refresher,” you said.
Jimin smiled and watched you walk in the direction where he knew the bathroom was. He watched you until you disappeared before chuckling to his self. “Worth drinking the wine,” he commented before setting the half empty glass on the table next to hers. He saw there was a trace of her lipstick on the rim of her glass and licked his bottom lip.
“Mr Park Jimin, just the man I wanted to see,” a bellowing voice said, startling Jimin who looked up to see an old friend of his father’s approaching him with open eyes. Jimin smiled and welcomed him. “Mr Jaebum Kim, what a pleasure,” said Jimin.
Jimin was deep into a conversation with Jaebum when he spotted you walking from the bathroom, your attention on your bag that your hands were currently searching through. As if you could feel his stare on you, you glanced up and locked eyes with him and smirked before walking to the bar.
It was another half hour until he could find you again. He felt thirsty for your attention; he just wanted to be in your alluring presence. He wanted your body close to his, under his even above his. He wouldn’t mind, he just wanted you. With these thoughts in mind, he pursued you through the large hall until he found you sitting beside a woman, laughing with her. He stumbled for a second, faltering in his steps. He didn’t know whether it would be impolite to impose on your conversation, one you were clearly enjoying. He turned around and walked to the bar; ordering two glasses of champagne this time, and his preferred drink in galas such as these.
Jimin cleared his throat before walking towards you, trying to be confident in his strides. He slowed his walk, grinning when you turned and waved him over, your lips still moving rapidly with the woman.
“-and she just waltz right up to him and kissed him smack on the lips, in front of his wife, his secret mistress and the Mayor who was supposed to be awarding him the medal,” said the woman. Jimin eternally cringed at that story, which seemed slightly over exaggerated. He glanced at you and saw amusement clear on your face, an eyebrow cocked.
“Hello Mr Park, come and join us,” you said suddenly, turning your attention on him and he swore he forgot how to breathe for a moment. He shuffled over to you, handing you the glass of champagne to which you gratefully took, smiling at him endearingly.
“Mr Park, It’s a pleasure to meet you, I had no idea you were familiar with Y/N,” said the woman opposite them. Jimin paused before continuing to sit down at the table, his thigh gently brushing against yours.
You cut in before he could say anything. “We just met tonight, and became fast friends. We have a lot in common,” you said, turning to him to throw a wink his way before sipping your drink, almost innocently.
The woman huffed, her manicured nails tapping against the table angrily. “Well, I see my husband, he will be wondering where I ran off to,” the woman said with a titter before departing without a word of goodbye over shoulder.
You heaved a great big sigh and turned to Jimin who was watching you with wide eyes. Your frown turned into a smile once more and you leaned in, pressing a soft kiss to his cheek. “Thank you for even coming to me.” You kissed his other cheek. “And thank you for the drink,” you whispered.
Jimin felt his cheeks warming from where your touch was, his hand coming to caress his cheek before he smiled, a full smile that had his eyes turning into crescent moons for a moment. It warmed your heart to see such a gorgeous smile sent your way.
Sadly, the night was coming to an end and you both had to part ways. “I need to go now Mr Park,” you uttered softly, your hands reaching inside of your bag to grab your phone and car keys. You looked back up and saw Jimin nodding slowly, disappointment in his twinkling eyes. You smiled and handed him your phone. “But we can speak again?” You offered and watching as the heart-warming smile appeared, his head bobbing up and down excitedly as he took your phone.
You watched as he quickly typed his number in before handing it back to you. “It was a pleasure, Y/N, I can’t wait to see you again,” he said, grabbing your hand before swooping down to kiss it with his pillowy lips. You weren’t surprised that they were as soft as they looked.
You waved goodbye to him, walking through the mass crowds. Jimin was sad that would be his last time seeing you for the night, but he was too respectful to ever ask you to spend the night with him…Perhaps next time.
You turned, watching as Jimin sat on a chair by the bar, handing your bag to the man next to you. “Get the car running,” you ordered him, before grabbing his elbow. You looked up at him. “Don’t be there when I get there Seokjin,” you warned him, watching as he gave a singular nod and sped away.
You breathed in a vain attempt to slow your racing heart down. You made your way over to him, calling out name. You grinned and waved when he turned to face you, his eyes wide in shock before he grinned, standing up from his seat as though he was shocked. You made eye contact with the bartender and watched as he gently tapped a vial into Jimin’s champagne. You reached Jimin and pulled him into a long hug. “I just couldn’t leave like that, not when we connected so well,” you said into his ear.
You felt him shiver, his head nodding against your shoulder. When you saw the last of the mixture dissolve you let him go. “Sorry,” you said chuckling, flicking a piece of your hair from your face. You set down next to him on the seat. “How about one more drink and then maybe you can take me home?” You offered.
Jimin gulped and nodded. “What would you like? My treat,” he said, flagging down the bartender once more. You gave your drink order to the man before he set off making it. “So, what changed your mind?” Jimin asked, almost shyly, his fingers fiddling with the neck of his glass, his eyes nervously flickering from you to the drink.
It was endearing, you thought. “I saw you sitting her just before I left, and I decided that I didn’t want my night to end here,” you said. It wasn’t really a lie, you thought. When he looked up at you, a smile was quickly put onto your face, masking your guilt.
Soon the drinks were gone and you could tell the mixture had gotten to Jimin, he had moved closer to you, his hands nearing your own more and more. He was no longer shy, but he was still bashful enough to keep some distance. You placed a hand on his cheek, smiling briefly when his own hand caressed it, before looking at him with concern. “Maybe we should finally head out,” you said, looking around almost exaggeratedly. “Your partners might notice you being drunk, I can’t imagine that will go down well,” you whispered.
You watched as his eyelids fluttered closed for a second before he sighed heavily. “Yeah, let’s go,” he said softly, standing up sluggishly. You grabbed his hand in yours, gently tugging him away from the bar and towards the back entrance, opposite to where others were leaving.
You weren’t concerned about security stopping you, nor the cameras watching you. You felt a weight almost drag you down and turned to see Jimin laid on the floor. “Shit,” you hissed. “Fucking stupid hired muscle,” you spat out, thinking about the bartender. You would remember his face and make sure his blacklisted from hired work. “Doesn’t even know the simple dosage,” you muttered, slipping your hands under Jimin’s armpits before dragging his heavy body down the hallway. Luckily, the exit door was just in reached.
You dragged him through the door and saw your car just outside. You set Jimin against the back door, opening the passenger side of the car. You looked from the car to Jimin, back to the car before throwing your head back, letting out a low groan. “I need to start working out with Gguk more,” you said to the sky before bending down.
With a lot of effort on your behalf you managed to tuck in the dead weight of Jimin into the Passenger seat, leaning over him to fasten his seat belt before gently closing the car door. You found the keys already in the ignition and thanked Seokjin for not being incompetent. You could always trust your team, just not the outside hired goons.
You turned the ignition on and slowly backed out of the alleyway and onto the busy road that was lined up with limos and private cars. You drove past a few known partners of Park Jimin, smiling politely when they motioned concern towards his peaceful state. You soon pulled out of the event car park, smoothly driving and merging into the night traffic. You turned your head to look at Jimin, his head resting against the cool window before looking back at the road.
Your phone rang and you quickly answered it, setting it to hands free. “Is he with you?” Came the deep baritone voice of Kim Taehyung, your assistant. “You have two cars tailing you, they have since the gala, and one of them is Conway’s personal guards.”
You looked through the rear view mirror and saw the two cars that he was talking about. “Yeah, the package is with me. That damn hired muscle almost overdosed him though, take care of it Taehyung,” you growled out. You moved through the traffic, slowly speeding up, but the two cars were keeping pace. “Good job we’re driving a Subaru,” you muttered.
“Is the WRX good enough, or are we thinking a different car next time?” Taehyung asked through the phone. You could hear the amusement in his voice and rolled your eyes.
“Just get rid of that guy, I don’t remember his name. I didn’t particularly care. Oh, and give Seokjin 5% raise on his cut, he did well tonight,” you said before hanging up. You sped up, not caring about the other road users at this point and made to weave in and out of the traffic before drifting around a corner, swiftly ending the short car chase. You smirked, watching as they missed the turning and looked back at the road, disappearing from their view.
You glanced at Jimin and saw he was still passed out. As long as he wasn’t hurt, everything would be fine.
You could only hope the rest of the job will run smoothly.

When people say they need to speak to you, often people instantly assume the worst. Work themselves up and get a nasty pit in their stomach and with shaky hands they’d nod while their entire life flashed before their eyes. You had done plenty of things in your life, but nothing to ever have warranted such a serious stare from your mother.
This however? You couldn’t have ever anticipated that this would be what she wanted to talk about. The situation being your mothers new perspective partner. You were relieved of course, but also a new sensation washed over you once the information sank in. It was almost as if a new sense of dread filled you. Dread of uncertainty, a new future you had never quite thought of before.
With tightly crossed legs you had a tense expression your face, attempting to smile but it wasn’t necessarily working, one might have easily sensed your defensive posture. You could see why she fell for him. He was soft spoken and charming. Charismatic and you didn’t even want to think about just how rich he was. He being Mr Park, the CEO of a large company apparently- who your mother just so happened to fall in love with.
This news- while happy for her also brought much inner confusion and insecurity within you. You were happy for her but you had never had a dad before. Not really, no one you could ever rely on atleast. You supposed that wasn’t the point though, you were already grown up and while the chance of Mr Park becoming your step father was strong it didn’t necessarily mean anything.
Still the idea sat with you uncomfortably. All that aside you wanted to be happy for your mothers sake, she had been through so much hardship with your father that she deserved someone kind and sweet like Mr Park regardless of his social class.
With that in mind you couldn’t decline your mother when she said she wanted you to meet him, there was only one string attach. Said string being his son, your mother didn’t have enough time to brief you on him beside him being around your age. He was also late. Who was late to meeting their parents new partner? Apparently Mr Park must’ve felt the same as he flusteredly apologized after checking the time on his watch, “I’m terribly sorry on my sons behalf, he said his meeting was likely to go over time.”
“Oh no it’s fine!” Your mother instantly spoke with a dazzling smile and sparkling eyes before turning towards you, “We don’t have anywhere to be, right Y/n?”
Technically you did, you’d have to be at the ward by twelve that night, not to mention you also had to be at the bakery to open up shop tomorrow morning, regardless it meant you couldn’t be out all night. Attempting to push that to the back of your mind you mustered a weak smile, not wanting to ruin the nice atmosphere your mother had worked so hard to create, “Of course! I’m sure he couldn’t help it.”
Your words were semi honest, while you certainly weren’t a business women you supposed some things in meetings couldn’t be helped. There was a still a seed of doubt in your mind though, maybe he was dragging his feet just as much as you were about this. All bets aside it did clarify what you had expected. His son did in fact, work under company. Not that there was anything wrong with that, but you couldn’t help but feel a twinge of snideness, must’ve been nice having your daddy’s company to guarantee a good job for life.
Mr Park gave you a warm smile, one that made you feel momentarily guilty about your inner thoughts as he relaxed a little upon hearing your words, “You’re just as kind as your mother. I know its a little soon to ask but I was planning on taking a trip out to Dubai for business. I was wanting to take your mother along with me, but I’d like to ask if you could come as well.”
Your lips parted as your eyebrows shot up at the unexpected news while Mr Park added, “All expensive will be taken care of naturally. I want this to be a fun experience for you both- if you can come that is.”
Your mother looked giddy in her seat as she glanced at you, why did she have to be like this? You almost felt compelled now, seeing such an excited look on her face made you shift slightly whilst giving them both an awkward smile, “Well uh- I’d first have to ask when you’re going to see if my work would let me take time off.”
“Of course!” Mr Park beamed as if just remembering himself, nodding as he continued, “We’ll be departing by the end of next week, early Sunday morning. It’s just a week visit before we go home. One of my closest friends company is having their thirtieth anniversary there so we would be attending.”
It was a bit abrupt for a trip but seeing your mother so excited you could hardly find the nerve to say no even in your mind, “Well I’ll have to speak to my work about it but I hope I’ll be able to make it.” You gave a polite smile finally answering. And you were being honest, free trip to Dubai? Who would say no to that? But you worked two jobs and almost never had a moment to breath. Let alone for an entire week. But you promised to try and you never broke a promise.
“I apologize for my punctuality.”
A new voice had entered the conversation as you glanced up. This must’ve been Mr Park’s son, in fact, he was the spitting image of him, his black hair had been well groomed parting on the left side of his forehead.
Plump lips and dark eyes that seemed foreign but must have been his mother’s traits. The rest of his facial structure though, without a doubt was his father’s, Mr Park gave an almost relieved smile to see his son as your mother shook her head, “Oh no it’s fine. We were just passing the time waiting for your arrival, it’s pleasure to finally meet you! I’ve heard many great things from your father.”
Her smile looked nervous and her hands had clasped, another telltale sign of her anxiety. You though? You had relaxed back into your chair, your face running blank- not in an intimidating way but more of a poker face then anything. Unreadable, just the way you liked it.
“As have I,” He flashed a brilliant smile that had surely broke over a dozen hearts as he introduced himself, “I’m Jimin, the pleasure is all mine.”
But his gaze suddenly flickered meeting yours as you coolly crossed your legs, wine glass in hand taking a sip. The polite exterior you had worked rather hard to show melting into a more intense stare, some might even consider it a glare but you couldn’t help it, It was a classic defensive look on you, one you couldn’t help in your defense.
Last time your mom went on a date it was with a three time sex offender, not that she had known at the time but everything was not always what it seemed and that memory was living proof of it. Jimin and his father? They were no exception either and it was gonna take a lot more then a pretty smile to convince you they weren’t a wolves lurking beneath sheeps clothes.
There was something about Jimin you felt unsure of, the flecks of amusement in his eyes didn’t surpass your sharp, intimidating gaze and it was as if he intended for it to be seen by you alone. You didn’t like it one bit.
“And you are?” Jimin took a seat across from you, shifting forward instantly as he curved an eyebrow noting your lack of greeting. What could he expect though? This wasn’t exactly what you depicted your Friday night looking like. In fact, you would’ve preferred to be in bed before work right now but again, for the sake of everyone at the table you’d keep your mouth shut.
Keeping the glass pressed against your lips, you let the bitter liquid slip down your throat before finally replying, “Y/n,” you tossed in a quick half hearted smile noticing your mother and Mr Park tensing at their children interacting for the first time, before adding in, “It’s a pleasure to meet you as well.”
The evening was- rather painful in your opinion. Not for your mother, but definitely you. The reasoning unfortunately being Jimin’s utter fascination by you. You weren’t sure whether to be flattered or offended honestly, there was never not a moment he didn’t drag the conversation in your direction. Was he really that curious?
Or was he just being polite in attempt to keep you apart of the group? Regardless it came across more flirtatious then anything else, which made you inwardly cringe. Your parents were dating did he not have any respect at all? You both could potentially become siblings and you were not about that life.
“So Y/n, what do you do for a living?”
You opened your eyes, pausing your fingers mid motion from the circle they traced against the temple of your aching head. Maybe it was the wine, or maybe it was just from the draining evening, you weren’t quite sure at this point.
You half way wondered if you could get away with a short vague answer but quickly dismissed the idea when you saw your mother shoot you a glance, clearing your throat you gave a sheepish smile, “Well...” pressing your lips together for a moment you gather yours thoughts on how to approach the subject, it’s not like you had a glamorous life, “I haven’t decided what I’d like to do college wise yet so I’ve just been working two jobs. My first is at a local bakery. My favorite out of the two.”
You could ramble all day about your job at the bakery, it was a cute little shop with cakes a little too overpriced and the shop a little to intimate for your personal taste but it got you through the day. Jimin however glossed over the answer as he pressed on, “Oh? Is the other one not very pleasant?”
Feeling all eyes on you, you shifted in your seat thinking for a moment before giving another awkward smile, not quite liking all the attention he continued to shower you in, what was this guys deal? “No- It’s just boring...I just work maintenance at the hospital.”
You didn’t have the heart to admit not only did you work in the psych ward but you also worked as mainly a janitor. The most action you had ever got was being sent to give a patient their lunch on a busy rotation. Besides that? You got to clean out rooms all day. Not the most fun job in the world but taking night shift was the only reason you could afford an apartment- that you still shared with your mother of course.
“What a hard worker!” Mr Park praised, giving an enthusiastic nod, a small smile on his face that looked without a doubt genuine yet you couldn’t help but feel slightly patronized, “I can only hope It compensates well.”
And that was the question of the hour, you supposed it really didn’t to a wealthy family such as the Parks , but it got the bills paid and you hadn’t taken to e-sites yet so that was a plus, “It compensates enough to help my mother out so I won’t complain.” You offered a tiny reserved smile as you relaxed back in your seat. And it was true, as long as you could continue living in your little apartment you weren’t going to complain. It wasn’t a lot in life but it was enough.
Your eyes flickered over to Jimin’s, he appeared as though he was almost assessing you before meeting his own eyes with yours, a devilish smirk twisted onto his lips as if he discovered something. You frowned looking away, not liking that look one bit, but as soon as you saw it it just as quickly vanished. Jimin was still very conscious of your parents at the table, but he seemed to find one way or another to pass innuendo remarks your way through the night.
By the time the night had come to an end you were grateful for it, going home to sleep sounded incredible. You’d have the next two hours to yourself before clocking into work at the psych ward. It wasn’t a lot of sleep but it was a little less then roughly the average with both jobs. And whatever naps you could slip in during the day.
Eventually settling into bed you let your eyes collapse whilst sinking into the bed.
Your alarm clock had greeted you all too fast and familiarly as you groaned.
Rolling over to the other side of your pillow, makeup you had been to lazy to remove undoubtedly getting smeared all over your face in the process. Eventually you forced yourself out of bed and back onto your feet for your nightly grind, it was just another day at the job you supposed
“Wait hold on-“ Hoseok held up a hand, the other loosely clasped the mop that had begun to dry out from not having been dunked in so long, his nose scrunched in genuine confusion as he glanced at you, “Why are you trying to complain about your mom’s boyfriend when he offered to take you to Dubai for free AND his ‘hot’ son kept flirting with you. Where’s the cons in that?”
Your head shot up from its slouched position as you gritted your teeth, looking over your shoulder as you sent him a whither glare. There wasn’t any cons you understood that much but it wasn’t the trip or even Jimin you were talking about, “That’s besides the point Hoseok. Don’t you think this is all just going a bit too fast?”
You fixed your eyes back onto the bed sheet that had been stubbornly refusing to go under the corner of the bed, yanking the sheet once more before it complied, tucking it under as you sighed, “It’s just weird okay? I mean I guess it makes sense, she said they’ve been seeing each other for a little over six months but haven’t made it official until a few weeks ago,”
Pressing your lips together you paused to gather your thoughts before dejectedly dropping your shoulders, shaking your head as you turned to face your friend, “I understand why she didn’t tell me but- it would’ve been nice to know she was seeing someone a little bit sooner y’know?”
Hoseok nodded seeming to understand your reasoning as he finally dunked the mop back into the bucket before resuming his position to finish mopping up the unfortunate patients bile, “Well that’s understandable, it does seem a bit sudden but you might as well cease the opportunity for a free vacation right?”
You shrugged loosely figuring he was probably right, who wouldn’t take that offer? “Mhm, ill see if I can get the week off. It’d suck ass if I can’t go because of work not letting me.”
Hoseok grinned brightly as he dunked the mop back in the bucket once more, his eyes mischievous with a gleam you were all too familiar with, “You leave that up to me, Taehyung can cover his end at the bakery.”
“What’s that suppose to me?” You furrowed your brows, already not liking whatever your friend had in mind. Both of your friends were known troublemakers and you more than less got dragged through the mud on their adventures. That being said you also suffered the consequences as well.
None which were too pleasant and you had a feeling- just the tiniest sensation that whatever it was Hoseok was planning- would inevitably somehow come back to bite you in the ass. Regardless you wouldn’t be able to stop him as he only smiled, humming a falsely innocent tune as he resumed cleaning the floor.
Sighing you only shook your head before finishing making the bed, despite their mischievous tendencies you loved them dearly and knew they would only do this specifically in your favor even if the ends were unfavorable.
You and Hoseok were walking down the hallway to the next room when you both had heard a horrible screeching, it sounded as though someone was in agony though it was unfortunately a sound you had long since gotten use too.
The familiarity of the tone however made you frown as you glanced at Hoseok’s wide pupils, the woman’s hair was ragged and tangled, two of the psych nurses were holding each arm as they guided her past you in a rush despite the struggle she put up. Hoseok could barely put a foot forward before you caught him by the shoulder, his muscles tensed and his mouth in a hard line though he didn’t push your hand away, “Hobi you know the rules...”
His mouth twitched, annoyed at the reminder before he dropped his head in resignation, knowing you were right and knowing there was nothing he could do about it, “It’s the first time I’ve seen her all month...” he muttered under his breath as your frown deepened.
Your grip on his shoulder loosened before giving him a pat, unsure of what to do in realms of comfort as you sighed, “You just have one more semester to go...then you can take care of her. Cheer up you’ll be there in no time.” You finished your sentence brightly with a smile in hopes of letting it infect him. He didn’t succumb to it as much as you would’ve liked but Hoseok brightened at your words regardless, nodding solemnly before continuing your path to the next room. You knew it had to be hard to endure seeing your mother in such a state, knowing you were close to being able to help her but not quite there. In fact, you couldn’t even imagine how difficult it must have been for Hoseok.
He had a place here, he had a reason to be here, a goal. His mother had been schizophrenic since he was little, leaving him without a mother most of his life. After his father past away during his last year of high school it sent his mother- literally- insane, you could vaguely remember one of her hysteria episodes when you had come over to help him on his science project.
It was quite frankly terrifying but Hoseok had never viewed it that way and certainly never held a grudge against her, after she was permanently admitted to the ward it had become his goal to become a psych nurse to stay with her full time and help her get better.
You had always admired his goal, but you yourself didn’t have a place here, you had mused over the idea of becoming a psych nurse yourself but was never quite sure if you could stomach the sight. It was one thing hearing it, and occasionally catching glimpses but it was another to be with them hands on everyday.
You supposed the only real reason you were here was to get an extra pay check each week, that and Hoseok had actually asked you to join with him, sense no medical experience was necessary you didn’t see the harm and it wouldn’t interfere with your day job.
Sleep had become null in your life but it wasn’t as though you had gotten any to begin with, and to top it all off you were able to stay by his side each night to motivate him to keep going. It all worked out in the end.
By the time you had clocked out from the ward it was nearly seven in the morning and you would be at the bakery by eight. Stopping to get a breakfast sandwich on the walk to work you had picked up an energy drink along the way, it would be much needed during your late shift today. You checked your phone one last time, snickering at your group chats string of messages earlier that night.
To be fair your friends were your go to when it came to complaining. Except Taehyung really needed to stop staying up so late, especially when he didn’t have a reason too. Dragging your feet into the bakery the waft of fresh baked muffins made your mouth water but the sight before you was more then enough to make you lose your appetite as you groaned.
Taehyung still had bed hair as he lazily finished tying his apron, looking at you tired but expectantly, still not happy at the fact that you left him on read, “So are you going to Dubai or not?”
“If I can get the time off then sure. But I don’t know if I can. Hoseok said he’d talk to our boss about it but I don’t really know what that means...” You looked towards the floor, the wood was a bright glossy orange tone with rough grooves making it look worn, “Then again...I don’t really think I want too...” murmuring it more to yourself then him as you walked behind the counter.
Plucking the apron from the rack as you pulled it over head. Taehyung didn’t so much as blink as he replied, “Oh I’ll talk to my dad about it.” His dad having owned the bakery made it pretty easy for Taehyung to make excuses to get out of work.
Not that his dad appreciated it so much as he did tolerate it, for you however it was a bit different, you were one of Taehyung’s only friends and perhaps the hardest worker he had. Taehyung didn’t even bat an eye at the idea as he began prepping the bowl for a sour cream bundt cake, one of your favorite morning treats had there ever been any left over to spare.
“You really don’t have too...” you frowned, looking away. You loved your friends but they really didn’t need to go out of their way to help you get time off. But you understood in a way, if they were in your position you would’ve done everything physically possible to help them get time off, but it wasn’t them, it was yourself.
Suddenly a hand attempted ruffled your hair- which had been tied in a half attempted bun, rather then ruffle though it just tugged and yanked at your scalp making you scowl in displeasure, attempting to shove Taehyung away as he gave a boxy grin clearly enjoying tormenting you, “Of course I do, you barely have time to breath let alone relax, it’ll be good for you.”
Scoffing you crossed your arms looking away sourly, attempting to smooth out the bumps in your hair before sighing, looking out the large glass windows ahead as you asked, “Isn’t your mom coming by today?”
It was Taehyung’s turn to scowl as he looked away broodingly, “Yeah but only to get the rest of her shit.” It wasn’t the best topic change but you’d do anything to get off the discussion of yourself. That and you got worried about him from time to time, he always had a habit of bottling up his emotions, acting like his situation didn’t bother him, but deep down you knew it did.
You weren’t a stranger to divorced parents, but it wasn’t like your dad ran away from his perfectly functional and loving family to chase after money bags. Taehyung was still very much bitter about the divorce having it only been officially a year ago now. He silently looking down, roughly stirring the bowl making the veins on his forearms pop out.
“Tae...” you sighed looking down at the cash register, waiting for costumers that had yet to come, morning rush wouldn’t be for another half hour, “It’s okay to talk about it y’know?”
You watched his jaw clench as he continued stirring, pausing for a moment to sift in the next cup of flour before resuming his previous action. After another minute he gripped the spatula tightly before looking ready to throw it as he growled out, “What’s the point? It’s obvious she only cares about her precious financial security. I...I thought she-“
His eyes had began to gloss slightly before his jaw clenched again, regripping the wooden handle as he angrily glared down the batter. But beneath his furious exterior you could only see the hurt his face held, the betrayal in his eyes as if the memories of last year had resurfaced. You had finished shift at the ward early morning but hadn’t even gotten to lay in bed when you heard a rushed knock at the door.
It had been four in the morning and Taehyung was crying at your doorstep saying his parents were going to start the process of their divorce later that morning. You would never forget that night, it had apparently come out his mother was having an affair with some upper class lawyer, his father was so broken he ended up asking you if Taehyung could stay the day with you.
It wasn’t as if you’d ever imagine refusing, the bakery stayed closed that day giving you both the day off, he had stayed in bed most the day with you refusing to talk. And ever since that day he had kept it that way. Most conversations about his mother ended up this way, he would come close to opening up but would inevitably shut down, only broodingly staring down at bowl he continued to pour into the bundt pan, “...What about you?”
You blinked confused, looking over at him as you tilted your head, “Pardon?”
“It’s Saturday I mean...” Taehyung replied, doing the same as you had before to change the subject from one sore topic to another, “You’re going to stay with your dad right?”
You shrugged attempting to play it off coolly despite the slight tensing in your muscles at the idea, “Well nobody else is gonna do it for me...”
Taehyung only grimaced at your reply, having put him in a bad mood, or maybe he was already in one. It was getting more difficult with each day to figure out the difference, “I don’t know why you even bother, he’s such a deadbeat, who the fuck keeps bumming off their kid for money? I mean seriously.”
Your face fell slightly at his bruising words as you sighed, fidgeting with your shirt as you glanced back down at the register, noticing your lack of reply Taehyung glanced up. His sharp features softening slightly at your dejected figure, realizing he had been a little too harsh he gently grabbed your arms, pulling you into a hug you genuinely didn’t see coming.
Your face began to feel hot as he rested his chin against the top of your head, “I’m sorry for being such an asshole...” he murmured, his voice a deep soft dulcet tone as it always had when he spoke softly. You could barely register his voice that tickled against your ear.
You had never viewed Taehyung as a romantic interest, ever in your life to be honest. But you weren’t blind to how good looking he was, whether or not you liked him anyone that attractive could easily make you flustered, “I just get worried about you,” Taehyung confessed in a quiet murmur, arms still locked around you, not tightly but firm enough for you to not slip away, “I don’t want him to take advantage of your kindness, you really are too good for this world Y/n.”
Sighing you finally forced yourself to relax into the hug though still not having returned it, having been touch starved most of your life you weren’t exactly use to such an affection, “If...” you sighed again having barely started your sentence before agitatedly closing your eyes, there wasn’t much to look at anyways besides the white apron and black hoodie underneath, “If I don’t do it...then who will?” Your voice cracked slightly before your shoulders began to sag, “I know how it is but- if there’s a chance I can help him turn things around-“
“Then what?” Taehyung questioned, his voice still soft as though to not provoke you anymore then he already had, but firm enough to make you frown, “It’s not going to get your parents back together, and it’s not going to take away everything he’s done to you both.”
For a brief moment you were thankful he had hugged you, you were unsure if you could stand to face him any other way, “Well of course it won’t change the past but...I can change the future, I can have a father again, I can move forward and build a relationship with him. I-... I don’t want to be someone who has daddy issues the rest of my life Taehyung.” You finally broke away from him, unable to stand the physical contact anymore as you took a few steps to distance yourself comfortably as you glanced up at his tall figure, “If anything I’m doing it for myself, for a peace of mind. To know that-“
You stopped for a second as if to gather your thoughts before continuing, “If he can’t turn his life around, if he can’t get past the alcohol, then I’ll know there was nothing I could’ve done to help. Then...and only then will I be able to move on and let it go. There’s no point in me holding a grudge against him, sure, I have every damn right but- I mean...what do I have to gain from that?”
Your voice finally softened as did your expression as you asked the question aloud. You let it hang in the air as the bell chime rang, letting you know the day had officially begun. Taehyung appeared in thought as you gave him one last look before attending to the first costumer, you had hoped, that maybe you changed some of his perspective.
He had been holding a grudge against his mother for the whole year, rightfully so. But just as you asked aloud, what did he really gain from that?
Sluggishly you began to walk up the old rickety porch steps with a loud yawn, the long day had finally began to catch up to your body that no amount of energy drinks could fix. Your body craved a long sleep you knew you wouldn’t get tonight especially with staying the weekend at your dads. Opening the door your nose instantly scrunched to the smell of alcohol, paper had covered the ground and was soiled with what you had assumed was beer. Once upon a time this house use to be an absolute hell, a private nightmare just for you.
But you weren’t a kid anymore and so your fears hadn’t taken root anymore, they had left scars for sure but you had become far too desensitized for it to scare you anymore, atleast not when you know you can always bail. You have another home you can ran too if this one goes up in flames. Stopping in front of the collapsed figured you sighed at your fathers passed out figured in front of the TV the monotonously played in the background. You tilted your head slightly as you mused over how unlike your father was to whom you had just met the night before, Mr Park.
They had to be opposite in every possible way, he was so soften spoken while your father was as loud as they came, gruff in appearance from all of the drinking he had accomplished he was no stranger to gambling either. You leaned down pulling him up onto the couch, pulling the blanket down over him before turning off the TV.
Going to the kitchen it was a wreck as always when you first came over, you were sure the only time you ever saw it clean was when you were the one scrubbing it down. Cleaning off a glass before filling it with water you pulled out the medicine basket. You meant to be looking for some Tylenol but ended up scowling at the set of needles you had found instead. Was he even trying to hide it from you anymore?
Grabbing them you clenched your fist before dumping them into the trash, you could care less if he saw when he woke up. If anything he should be the one worried about your anger rather then the reverse. Pulling out the Tylenol from the bottle you grabbed both the glass before setting it down on the littered living room coffee table. Finally you trudged down the hallway, resting in your old bedroom, now ragged with chipped paint and a stained mattress. You didn’t even want to think about who had been in here when you weren’t staying during the week. Closing your eyes exhaustedly you let sleep over take you.
Sleep however didn’t stay for long. It was roughly eight at night when you were abruptly woken up to a slam on the door, “Why the fuck did you throw away my needles you inconsiderate bitch. That costed me half my check.”
Not the first thing you wanted to be woken up too. Slowly you sat up before glancing at the door where orange light streamed, making your tired face and dark circles prominent as you glowered bitterly. You were being honest when you told Taehyung there wasn’t a point holding a grudge, but it was something you still struggled with in moments like this, “Have you ever considered it’s not worth your check? All it’s gonna do is get you in your grave ten years early if sorosis doesn’t take you first.”
Standing up now you rubbed your eyes, but not for long as your oxygen was suddenly caught off, making you gag slightly as you grabbed his wrist in reflex, his hand squeezed tightly at you throat, “Don’t fucking touch my stuff again and don’t disrespect your father. I’m the reason you’re even here you worthless brat.” You were shoved back, knocked down against the bed as your eyes screwed into a glare, knowing well that provoking him wasn’t going to get you anywhere as you huffed watching him walk away, unable to resist a muttered, “Can’t respect anyone when you’re footing their main check.”
It was the truth, sadly. You wanted to badly to move on from all of this, you wanted your father to at least try to get back on track to recovering and to at least try to maintain a normal paycheck, you wanted a lot of things. Which he was none. Couldn’t he just try? If not for himself then for you? Anger bubbled beneath your figure and old wounds threatened to reopen.
“The fuck did you say!?” He whipped around sharply, honing in on you ready to lash out again as your face darkened broodingly, standing up again as you grabbed the half empty cup from you desk, taking a sip from the bitter musty water as you asked, cynicism biting in your voice as you replied snidely, “You really want me to repeat that?”
He instantly stalked back over to you grabbing you by the collar as he slammed you against the wall, “I don’t need anything from you, all you’ve done is ruin my life. So take your shit and your pity and get the fuck out of my house.”
Your body smacked the ground from where he threw you as you gritted your teeth, sighing as you got onto your knee’s. The alcohol still in his system making him more volatile then usual as you let him walk away. Having the final say as he always said, if it made him feel better.
A lie because you’d always have some apology text from him the next day, just as he would tomorrow. There was no point in staying here, especially if he already found the needles again and got himself hyped again. The only thing you’d be is dead if you kept provoking him and you’d be useful to no one like that.
Grabbing your phone you sighed, running a hand through your hair as you groaned,
you could call her, but you didn’t want her to worry, and you knew she would rightfully so if she saw the state you were in. You could just go home but...you sighed looking down at your shaky hands.
You didn’t want to be affected so much by your father but he still deep down did scare you. You had learned to contain yourself but you knew you were on the verge of a panic attack, would you ever learn to get past this? To not have anger burning through your vein that ran side by side with your fear? Swallowing thickly you opened your phone to call Hoseok.
He was confused and sounded sleepy but naturally he said you were always welcomed to stay over.
Carefully you had made your way down the hall and slipped out, your father too out of it to really notice you leaving. It was a fairly long walk but you didn’t care too much. You were simply glad to be out of the house and eventually back into the warmth of your friends home. The spare key under the mat as it always had been. The entire apartment was dark so you assumed Hoseok must’ve went back asleep, deciding not to wake him you went to the freezer, pulling out a tub of ice cream as you made yourself at home.
Sitting at the small table you curled up on the chair as you dug in, not getting far in your meal as you heard a voice from behind, “Would’ve ordered takeout if you told me you were hungry.”
“I didn’t wanna wake you,” You pouted, spoon still tucked into your cheek before popping it out. Hoseok’s hair was ruffled letting you know he was indeed asleep before you had showed up, scratching his head he opened his mouth before quickly closing it as his eyes landed on your neck. Watching you carefully as your eyes visibly dimmed, looking away from him as you frowned, “Oh..so that’s why you wanted to come over...” he murmured as he walked over to the table, sitting beside you as he took the spoon from your hand, “Wanna talk about it?”
Your vision already blurring and hands beginning to shake as you shook your head, keeping your composure as you murmured, “Not really...” but it threatened to crumple as you covered your face with your hands, finally ready to let the tears out but you were stopped when you heard a knock at the door. Shooting your head up alert as you looked towards Hoseok confused, he shrugged loosely as he replied, “Taehyung called not too long after you wanting to stay as well, he didn’t want to bother you with it being the week end and all.”
Rubbing your eyes despite then being dry you furrowed your eyes, “What?” Taehyung had let himself in, you could already tell his mood had been soured as he huffed trudging over to Hoseok as soon as he saw him looking ready to vent for a good three hours. He stopped in his tracks though when he saw you. “Y/n?” His lips parted surprised, “I thought you...” he trailed off, catching sight of your neck as you looked away dejectedly, pulling the spoon back from Hoseok to continue whittling away on the coffee flavored treat. Avoiding Taehyung’s scowling gaze as if his mood just got ten times worse, “He did this, didn’t he!?”
Sighing Hoseok got up from his chair, instantly pointing to the short narrow hallway as he glanced at Taehyung, not saying anything in return. Taehyung opened his mouth again ready to object but Hoseok cut him off, “Shut up and go, now isn’t the time dipshit.”
His mouth screwed shut again, blowing a harsh huff of air through his nose as he glanced one last time at you before going to the single bedroom down the hallway, “I’ll be back in a minute Y/n.” Hoseok called out but you only shook your head.
“By all means, take your time. Looks like he’s gonna need it.” And you knew you were right, Taehyung was extremely verbal when he was upset and you knew seeing your situation must’ve amplified his already emotional mood. You were usually the opposite, quiet and broody. It had been another half hour before you saw them again.
You had pulled out the Funtom couch to a bed with a movie in the background before you felt two people sandwich in on either side of you, groaning you began to wiggle, “The fuck? You know I’m not a cuddler guys- seriously I’m fine!”
“No you’re not Y/n,” Hoseok replied simply pulling you against his chest, stroking your hair as you continued to squirm, “And that’s okay, you don’t have to be strong right now.”
Your lips began to quiver at his words, the upset you had shoved down your chest began to bubble again. Taehyung had meanwhile made himself comfortable spooning you from behind as he pressed his face into the crook of your neck. Obviously ignoring what Hoseok was saying as he grumbled, “He should be in jail, you don’t deserve to put up with this shit Y/n.”
Hearing so many conflicting statements and feeling so confused you finally cracked under their coddling, letting your shoulders shake as you let the first tear drop down your face. They simply held you comfortingly, saying no more now that they had gotten you to stop brooding on your emotional state. Eventually when you had cried all the tears you could silence fell around you all.
It wasn’t uncomfortable, your friends...you loved them so much, they were your everything and you weren’t sure what you would’ve done without them. Facing the world was so much easier knowing you could fall back on them. Hoseok had let you go with ease as you finally wiggled out of their grip. Taehyung however let out a whine in objection having been the most cuddliest of the three, you ignored him as you crawled over him and to the safety of the side of the funtom.
“Oh Y/n, by the way I spoke to our boss and he said you can have the week off for your trip.” Hoseok suddenly spoke up as if just remembering, peering over your pouty friend to look at you.
Your eyebrows shot up and despite your ugly tear stained face you were genuinely shocked, “Seriously? How did you-...actually I don’t want to know but...” you mustered a weak smile, “Thanks Hobi I owe you.”
The thanks made Taehyung huff loudly as he flopped over to face you, “Oh, well if we’re going by that law then you owe me too. I was talking it over with my dad at dinner and he was more then happy to give you the time off.”
Your lips parted registering the information before letting out a laugh, the first genuine one either of them had heard in a long while, “Alright well then I owe both of you- but seriously, you guys are amazing I don’t think I could survive life without you.”
Hoseok grinned brightly as he shot you a wink, “Don’t worry you’ll repay the favor soon enough. Anyways get some sleep we have shift soon.”
Smiling you began to let your eyes droop as you murmured, “Okay...”
And honestly? The idea of vacation didn’t sound so bad after all.
Note: I honestly shouldn’t even be posting this given how much I don’t even update my other stories but like ??? I’m like 7 parts deep in this and my souls been invested in writing this for the past week. I should honestly be working on my Yoongi fic instead of writing another Jungkook centered insert but here we are x) Anyways let me know what you guys think and if you like it! Feedback is always appreciated! 🖤

The suit he wears is nothing more special than what he’d wear on a day he’d roll into work. His sleeves smell faintly of herbs from the tea company as Jeongguk wears his cufflinks, fiddling as he closes the whale back studs. Jeongguk is taking his time, locking and unlocking the jewelry to stall the inevitable. Today, in respect to the media, this is the happiest day of his life. A young CEO marries to another company in the case of a hidden, modern day romance, sparked in secrecy and “shockingly revealed” with faked engagement rings that suspiciously matched.
The real story is that Jeongguk had come home to his parents holding a gift box. They hadn’t even looked guilty when they told him to wear it out in public, to go to a coffee shop where there were tipped photographers waiting. Every little detail to this relationship of Jeongguk’s has been planned out for him. Jeongguk thinks he’s only met his groom once or twice before today.
Music plays outside and the twenty-something groans. He cannot stomach weddings, and now he was only minutes from walking into his own.
Jimin narrows his eyes at the clock in one of the massive churches dressing rooms. His time is money and he’s wasting millions by attending this wedding. His wedding. Why is his marriage even happening in a church? This is not a union of two people, but rather a union of two companies. A courthouse would have sufficed. Clearly, the elder Jeon and Park wanted an opportunity to make the front page of the newspaper. What better way than the marriage of two of the richest heirs in the country?
He couldn’t believe his parents had the audacity to arrange this marriage for him. As if Jimin were not an adult, as if he didn’t have feelings. There was always the option of a divorce…but there wasn’t for a Park. Parks don’t get divorces: they stay married for life. In a few moments, Park Jimin would be tied down to Jeon Jeongguk until death tears them apart.
Jimin purses his lips. Jeon Jeongguk, he’s handsome enough; Jimin thinks back to the doe eyed, thin lipped man that he had the brief encounter with two weeks ago. He would give him beautiful children and perhaps it would be bearable to live with him.
Senior Park knocks on the door, then comes inside. Jimin rises to his feet as his father fixed his three-piece tuxedo. “You look lovely, son.” His father says, smiling widely. Although his demeanour was friendly, Jimin heard the threat as his eyes bore into him. ‘Don’t fuck this up.’ They screamed.
The young CEO smiles tightly back at him, before exiting the room and walking towards the main hall of church. He stood outside the french doors waiting for his future husband to join him so that they could walk together to the altar.
Looking into a mirror, Jeongguk stares himself down. It’s almost like any morning, but he looks different, and his skin feels too tight on his body. The wedding isn’t a small one, with the press invited and the guests all high-profile persons. It’s meant to be beautiful and dramatic, something for the public to eat up and tabloids to milk for the next few months. Jeongguk doesn’t doubt they’ll be skipping honeymoons for interviews and returning to their offices.
Growing up, Jeongguk expected that finding a partner would be a lot more romantic. He grew up with a genuine sparkle in his eyes, and now he only looks back on those pictures on the walls and pities the child in them, because now the door behind him is opening and he meets eyes with his parents through his reflection. All pairs of eyes are full of malice, dark and warning to each other.
“I’m coming,” Jeongguk says, not waiting for one of them to speak. He already knows what to expect from them now.
Closing his cufflinks for the last time, Jeongguk brushes past his father and ignores the way his mother ghosts a hand over his shoulder.
Park Jimin is a petite man. His figure surprises Jeongguk every time his eyes fall on him. Today is their third meeting. They’ll be seeing each other a lot more after this, they might as well act as they’ve known each other much longer. As he walks up, Jeongguk gives him a smile, a practiced one like he had given him on their mock date just a few weeks prior.
Jimin still smells the same: like a rich CEO. It’s the scent of overpriced cologne and harsh chemicals, meant to smell fresh and nice but Jeongguk can hardly stand it. There’s plenty of ears to catch his complaining, eyes and cameras to catch the discontent on his face. So instead, Jeongguk bows shallowly and adjusts his grin.
“Hey.”
It’s casual, modern. It’d be romantic in some bad teen romance.
Jimin glances up at Jeongguk in acknowledgment. His cheeks tint pink as their eyes meet, Jimin’s memory had dwarfed the younger man, and as he stood beside him, Jeongguk’s proportions screamed his masculinity.
“Hi,” Jimin’s voice is confident with a hint of anxiousness, exactly what the media wanted to hear. His lips curve into a small smile as he reaches to grasp Jeongguk’s hand, stepping closer towards the younger. His hand is cool, slim, but soft. Compared to Jimin’s, Jeongguk’s hand is large, practically engulfing Jimin’s.
Jimin wrinkles his nose as he breathes in Jeongguk, the scent a mixture of the entirety of a forest. It’s as if Jeongguk rolled around in the mud before arriving. Jimin didn’t like it.
Jimin watches as their parents laugh, joyously hugging for the cameras then proceeded to walk into the church to take their seats, but not before turning to give both of them a meaningful look. The message the media would take away is strikingly different from what Jimin and Jeongguk understand. Atmosphere now chilled, both men stand with taut muscles and uncertainty masking their features.
Jimin’s grip on Jeongguk’s hand constricts with anger before it relaxes only moments after. Clearing his throat, he whispers a quiet apology incase he hurt the younger man, his gaze flickering to him.
As the french doors open, Jimin allows a vibrant smile to grace his lips, just for the cameras that start flashing immediately. Jimin interlocks their fingers as the music starts playing. As they begin to walk towards the alter, the camera shutter becomes louder. Every bit of reminder of this publicity stunt is amplified, yet still only obvious to those in on the secret. The air is tainted with money and greed, almost too thick to drag into the lungs.
Jeongguk feels blinded by the lights, the alter barely visible in between flashes. Quietly, his dips his head down closer to Jimin’s as they walk. It’ll look good on the cover of a magazine, his smile partially hidden and face hidden behind his bangs. The press will never have to know the uncertainty that passes through him.
“We don’t really have to kiss, do we?”
Jeongguk tightens his hand around the one in his as he asks. There’s no good reason for them to put on that much of a show. Maybe Jeongguk can kiss his cheek instead, smudge icing on the other side of his face once they get to the cake: It’d seem like a camera-shy act instead of them blatantly avoiding each other, but his parents may not agree.
After the wedding, Jeongguk would have to worry about moving his things. For the past month, he’s been boxing up the luxury apartment his dad bought him when he entered the company. He’s only lived in it for two years.
It makes him wonder how long this has been planned. The company hasn’t been failing, not that Jeongguk knows of at least. Their teas still sell and they’re comfortable enough to release new blends seasonally. Was it the Parks that was failing? Or is the only goal bigger figures for the both of them?
Mulling it over, Jeongguk can see how great of an idea it is, but he’d still rather have all his freedom back.
“We do,” Jimin said curtly as they reach the altar. Jimin lets go of Jeongguk’s fingers so he may face the man he’s finally marrying. The smile ever present on his lips, the pastor begins the ceremony and the guests fall quiet under the booming voice. News workers hold cameras from the end of the aisle, capturing a video to broadcast over and over again until the horse is dead and put in its grave. Jimin could not let his eyes stray from Jeongguk’s because of the audience, but he lets his mind wander.
It has only been a few weeks, three to be exact, that his marriage to Jeongguk had been set in stone but already his life is changing. The day after his engagement, his father sent over a moving company to alter the layout of his bachelor pad into an apartment suit for a newly wed couple. It didn’t matter that he lived in a 1+1 condominium that would force him and Jeongguk to share a singular bed, in fact, that seemed to be the reason his father pushed the movement. His living arrangements were one thing he had decided to himself, his first home bought with his own money. And now, Jeongguk has robbed him of his privacy, as well as his freedom.
Jimin listens as the pastor’s cues carefully, holding Jeongguk’s hands in time to recite their vows.
“I, Park Jimin, take you, Jeon Jeongguk to be my husband from this day forward and these things I promise you: I will be faithful to you and honest with you; I will respect, trust, help, and care for you; I will share my life with you; I will forgive you as we have been forgiven; and I will try with you better to understand ourselves and the world; through the best and worst of what is to come, and as long as we live.”
Although he didn’t know it yet, Jimin meant every word of his vows. He finished with a vibrant smile, his eyes never straying from Jeongguk.
Jeongguk’s vows are similarly structured, if not spoken with a bored and emotionless tone. His head is tipped down, an effort to meet eyes with his very soon-to-be husband. If it wouldn’t be considered lazy, he would have slouched to be closer in height.
Pursing his lips, Jeongguk listens to the pastor babble on further. Each passing word is a twist in his gut, because when they say “I do” their fate is sealed, and Jeongguk’s freedom is gone. He won’t be able to stay long hours in the office, or have drinks with his employees late in the night. Instead, he’ll be packing up early to go see his husband, and take him out for dinners so everyone will know that they’re real.
They’re not real, though. Jeongguk is kicking himself for not arguing against his parents for this. He feels like property, handed off into another family for a couple more stacks of money on the table.
When the pastor finally slows down again, his heavy voice weighing down on Jeongguk’s shoulders, Jeongguk doesn’t think he can do it. Jimin might be a nice guy, he’s not sure, but he really can’t fucking do it. Breaking eye contact, Jeongguk’s gaze travels. He looks at his expecting parents, all the guests that he really doesn’t know. He swallows the lump in his throat.
“I do.”
Jeongguk’s voice is small, coming out soft. He’s looking back at Jimin now, holding eye contact once again. His lungs can’t get enough air, his chest hurts. If this isn’t the beginning of some panic attack, Jeongguk is sure he’s about to just die altogether.
Jimin hears the hidden misery in Jeongguk’s soft tone. The younger man didn’t want this as much as he did, that much is clear, but here they both are. As Jimin parrots the two words that bond them forever, the pastor announces what the pair had been dreading since the beginning of the ceremony.
For most married couples, it was just a kiss. But right now, the kiss that Jimin and Jeongguk would share held enormous power. Jimin would bet his entire inheritance that it would be plastered on every newspaper and billboard for the rest of the month.
Jimin stares up at Jeongguk, unsure of who should make the first move. But as Jeongguk was frozen in place, his eyes wide as he stared at Jimin like a deer caught in the headlights, Jimin tilts his head and stands on the tips of his toes, slanting his mouth over Jeongguk’s. He moves to place Jeongguk’s hands on his waist before cradling his husband’s face, palms warming the already hot cheeks.
The church erupts in cheers and a loud applause, and Jimin leans away from Jeongguk’s mouth, pushing their foreheads together. His eyes remain closed, nose brushing against Jeongguk’s with a small smile gracing his lips. The perfect picture for the headlines.
Jeongguk’s hands tighten briefly around Jimin’s waist, his own eyes fluttering shut. It’s so odd to be this intimate with a stranger, to hold them close like they mean something.
Still, Jeongguk allows himself to slouch, just a little bit, and bumps their noses together before moving to kiss Jimin’s forehead. He sells the act just as well as the other man does, desperate to make his parents and inlaws happy. As soon as they leave they’ll get some distance, but for another couple hours, they’ll be at each others side. Together they’ll thank guests with plastic smiles, and someone will cut the cake that would taste too sweet.
Pulling away, Jeongguk stares down at his husband, eyes gleaming with tears that will probably be left unshed. Cameras flash and highlight all the wrong features on his face, and Jeongguk can already read the headlines.
“I’m sorry.” He whispers, hands traveling to rest over the ones pressed to his cheeks. The intention is to remove them, so he locks their fingers together and brings their hands to rest between them.
Jeongguk wants to yank away, the skin contact burning him in an unpleasant manner. He can’t, however, so he just holds on tighter and wishes for a quick night.
Jimin smiles brightly at Jeongguk, before tightening his grip on his hand briefly. The cameras flashes attack the pair as they blindly walk straight towards the exit where their limousine would await them to escort them to their wedding party.
The rest of the night becomes a blur. Although Jimin and Jeongguk spend the entirety of the party next to each other, they barely speak to one another. They were so busy entertaining their guests and making it seem as if everything was normal, as if they were delighted that today has finally happened, that they did not get a moment to themselves.
As the night finally ends and Jimin sits down in the limousine, he let out a deep breath which feels more like getting rid of the weight of the world off his shoulders. He slumps against the back of the seat, closing his eyes as he loosens his tie.
“God, what a nightmare.”
They’re finally able to detach from each other. Jeongguk takes the liberty of sitting as far as possible, shrugging off his suit jacket to make the ride more comfortable. He checks his phone, briefing over news headlines before shutting the device off and sinking into his seat.
“Whoever suggested you buy that cologne lied to you,” Jeongguk mentions, head rolling back. His head aches.
The movers hopefully transported his things safely, though admittedly it wasn’t much. Jeongguk wasn’t allowed to bring much of his furniture, if any at all. Boxes of clothes should be the bulk of it, and he’s already dreading the challenge to find something to wear tonight.
Too tired to bring himself to be angry over Jeongguk’s statement, Jimin just laughs. It’s dry, unkind.
“If I wanted your opinion I would have asked for it,” Jimin speaks without opening his eyes, hands against his lower abdomen.
“You don’t need to ask for it, Hubby. We’re one in the same now, remember?” Jeongguk’s tone comes off as mocking, eyes bitter when he takes a peak at the other. They’re both tired, both exploited. They probably have a lot in common, but Jeongguk still can’t stand him. “And my opinion is that it stinks.” The other statement had just been a fact.
“What I said was a more polite way of telling you that I really don’t give a fuck about your opinion, husband.” Jimin snorts at the term. Jimin glances at Jungkook through hooded eyes, then turns his face away from the younger.
Stretching his legs out, Jeongguk leans forward against his knees. An amused smile turns the corners of lips up. This is the Jimin he remembers, the man he met at a small coffee shop with matching rings on their fingers. Jeongguk takes up a lot of space in the limo, daring the other to challenge him for it. “You’re prettier when you smile. Are you sure I just married you?”
“It’s been more than 5 hours since we got married, but hey who’s keeping track? we only have the rest of forever today.” Jimin says sadistically.
The smile upon his features smoothly melts into an ugly frown, aging his youthful features in a matter of seconds. Nudging Jimin’s leg with his foot, Jeongguk sighs. His styled hair is slowly falling down onto his forehead, proof of his worrying hands and the stressful hours that had dragged on the day. “You can at least look at me, it’s not like I proposed to you.”
Jimin then turns to face Jeongguk, “Happy?” Before turning back to look outside the limousine, “I’m just keeping at an eye for the paparazzi. We’re getting close to my condominium.” Jimin turns back to face Jeongguk and smirks, “I hope you’re not expecting me to carrying you over the threshold.”
“I won’t get my hopes up then, thanks for letting me know.”
Unlike earlier that day, the way Jeongguk holds Jimin’s gaze is cold. Stubbornly, his chin tilts up, ankles coming together to cross. “I don’t think you’re enough of a big guy to carry me anyways.” Jimin’s rather petite, maybe has a bit of muscle hiding under those sleeves. Jeongguk knows it still wouldn’t be enough to lift him off the ground.
Flashing a charming smile, a brow arches. “Do you want me to carry you in, sweetheart?”
Neither of the pair are surprised to see the paparazzi waiting for them to arrive in front of Jimin’s residence. The limousine comes to a halt and the cameras begin their horrid song.
“Yes actually, I do. Do you think you’ll be able to pumpkin?“ Jimin leans over and presses his forefinger against Jeongguk’s nose. When he steps out of the vehicle, he turns around asking for Jeongguk’s hand to escort him into his new home.
It’s Act II. Gathering his things, Jeongguk takes Jimin’s hand only to kiss his knuckles before climbing out of the vehicle himself.
"Lead the way, pudding.”
Out of pity for himself, Jeongguk drops his husband’s hand, tucking his arms under his suit jacket instead. It’s rather dark outside now, but the flashes of the cameras provide more light than usual. Surely, it’s been awhile since Jeongguk has dealt with this many cameras. The last time had probably been the day he had started working for his father at the company.
Jimin flinches as Jeongguk’s lips scrape across the back of his fingers. Thoroughly flustered, he walks towards the building checking back to ensure Jeongguk is still behind him as they enter the building. The security guards open the doors escorting the pair into their building then into Jimin’s condominium which has been transformed from his bachelor pad to a couple’s nest. Jimin purses his lips and commands the security to check the flat for any strays invading their privacy.
Jeongguk stands behind Jimin, his frame towering above the other. He looks over his new home, eyes landing on unpacked boxes that have yet to be moved into the bedroom.
“That’s a bit excessive, isn’t it?” He asks, watching after the security guards dividing themselves throughout the home. “I don’t think anyone likes you that much, sweetums.”
His features are not nearly as tight as Jimin’s, the exhaustion making them as firm as jelly. Really, he’d enjoy a hot bath and then a cup of tea right now over anything. The kitchen looks promising, Jeongguk is already yearning to wrap his hands around a warm mug. It’s magical until a dainty paw steps around the corner.
Gracefully, a cat steps into view, its tail held obnoxiously high and oh. Jeongguk hates that.
“It’s just precautionary measures, babe. I don’t think you want pictures of our wedding night all over the internet.” Jimin says, before his eyes are on his kitten. He bends forward stroking the kittens thick coat and scratching under her chin.
“Good Evening Friday, did you miss me?”
As if responding to his question the kitten let out a loud purr, rubbing against Jimin’s leg. She circles around the limb before resting her eyes wide green eyes on Jungkook. Her tail swishes elegantly behind her as she watches the other man.
The witty response fails to leave Jeongguk’s lips as his stare is met by the cat’s. Friday. That was such a stupid name and Jeongguk can’t even tell if he’s surprised.
“The cat sleeps with you.” And nowhere near him.
Cats haven’t been Jeongguk’s thing ever since childhood: they’re far too mischievous and manipulative. Dogs, on the other hand, are loyal and just want to the best for you. Jeongguk would much rather shower attention on one of them and see the affection returned than petting a cat and having them walk away.
“The cat sleeps wherever she wants, Jeongguk,” Jimin replies, a bit too coldly. As he speaks, he levels his eyes to meet Jeongguk’s.
When the security guards confirm the condominium is clear, Jimin thanks them before dismissing them. He then turned to his new husband, “We need to discuss some technicalities.”
“Yeah, the cat sleeps with you. We trade turns with the bed until I buy one for myself.”
Sitting his coat down on the counter, Jeongguk is walking towards one of his boxes. His main priority is to get out of this suit, and he refuses to be distracted by some talking garden gnome. “I don’t care what you do, we both have jobs to worry about. It’s doubtful that we’ll have to interact all that much.”
Pausing, Jeongguk shuffles around in a box before pulling out a pair of sweatpants. “I might have a place to stay anyways, so don’t expect me home every night.”
“I repeat, the cat will sleep wherever she wants. There’s no reason to disrupt the life of an innocent creature just because our lives got fucked up.”
Jimin walks towards the kitchen, pouring himself a glass of apple juice. He watches the younger man, sucking his teeth as he listens to him speak.
“I care what you do. I don’t want any scandals. If you’re not coming home, at least text me so I can have an excuse.” Jimin turns to put away the juice in the fridge but stops, “Where exactly are you going to fit a second bed?”
Jimin’s condominium was a bachelor pad, he never had the intention of getting married to anyone. His place had his bedroom, his small study and the living room. There was no room for Jeongguk to fit a bed.
The man simply shrugs, working on unbuttoning the top of his shirt. “I’ll find room somewhere, don’t worry about it.”
Cloth falls off his shoulders, collecting at his elbows. Jeongguk is exhausted, fingers fumbling. “There’s not going to be any scandals, I know how to handle myself.”
It’s not like he grew up without having any fun. Jeongguk has learned how to hide himself and pay off journalists: staying undercover will be easy. “Anything else, your majesty?” Jeongguk glances over his shoulder, lips tilted in a smirk. His teeth pull a bit of the soft flesh between them, proposing a challenge as he unbuttons the rest of his top and slides it off.
Jimin rolls his eyes.
“You know I have a bathroom for you to change in?” Jimin turns on his heels towards the bedroom. He hopes Jeongguk misses the reddening of his ears at the sight of his half naked husband. He steps into his walk-in closet and picks out his night clothes, a simple pair of boxers and a white t shirt. He bites his tongue upon noticing how his housekeeper had adjusted his closets to fit on one side to allow Jungkook’s to fit on the other side. He dresses quickly, then returns to the living room.
“You can have the bed tonight, you look like you need it.” Jimin doesn’t look at Jeongguk as he begins converting the small couch into a bed.
“This isn’t your first time seeing someone naked I hope, I mean otherwise…” Jeongguk trails off, changing into his sweats languidly. His belt jingles in the silence between them, hitting the floor with a thud. Pants follow its path soon after, Jeongguk reaches for his sleepwear.
“What time are getting up in the morning?” Theyre going to have to adjust their schedules for each other, Jeongguk may have to change his alarm. “I’m having someone drive my car over in the morning. I can take you to work.”
“I’ve seen both men and women naked Jeongguk, I just have no interest in seeing you naked.” Jimin scoffs, he turns on the tv as he settles into his bed, the couch and smiles as Friday comes to rest with him naturally. However, the cats eyes seem to shift to Jeongguk frequently.
“You’re going to drive me to work? Why would you do that?” Jimin looked at Jeongguk and raises his eyebrows.
His eyes light up, even at the insult thrown towards him. Jeongguk stretches his arms far above his head, shameless as he wears no top. For this body, he’s put in a lot of time. Dedication. He likes showing it off when he can, whether it be a morning jog or more intimate exercise.
“I don’t believe you at all, for the record,” Jeongguk says, nonchalant and uncaring. “We just got married. We’ll have cameras following us for the next six months. Just trying to give them something to write about, sweetheart.”
“Huh, says the person who doesn’t expect to be home every night,” Jimin huffs turning his attention to the tv. “You don’t need to drive me to work, I have a chauffeur. Just do us both a favour and stay out of trouble.”
He leans back against the couch pillows, closing his eyes. Jimin couldn’t sleep without white noise, whether it be from the tv or the person speaking, he needed something to distract him from his thoughts. “And buy some chapsticks, your lips are really rough.”
At that, Jeongguk actually laughs. The sound is breathless and straight from his chest, and Jeongguk hasn’t had that genuine of a laugh in a while. Tip toeing around the furniture, Jeongguk avoids the cat laying on his husband’s lap by shooing her away gently.
“I’m driving you, you’re going to make it obvious if you’re gonna avoid me.” Leaning forward, Jeongguk’s bangs create a curtain for his face. If there’s any nosy cameras outside somewhere, this is would be some great mysterious shot for the magazines. Their noses brush. Jeongguk’s teasing him. “You’re the only one that’s complained.”
Jimin places his palm flat against Jeongguk’s chest. He tracing the flawless expansion of skin with his fingertips. He glances up at Jeongguk through his lashes, his fingers travelling up his neck and across his jaw. Jimin licks his lips teasingly, his fingertips now at Jeongguk’s lips before he pinches his cheeks roughly, like you would to a child.
“Don’t play with fire Jeongguk,” Jimin says lowly. He pushes Jeongguk away from him, waiting for Friday to return to his lap. “You can have it your way, I leave at 7AM.”
He’s left rubbing at a sore cheek, his expression fading into one that could rival a hurt child. It’s not that he’s sensitive (he is), but it was unexpected. “You sure you don’t want to go to bed? Its yours after all. My stuff is in here anyways.” It would be easier to get ready in the morning, and he trusts Jimin has enough money to pay for a sofa that won’t ruin his poor back.
“You won’t fit on the couch,” Jimin defends himself with an exaggerated huff. He wraps the blanket snuggly around him.
“Just let my cat sleep wherever she wants,” Jimin mumbles, his eyes are closed again as he evens his breathing out, the hectic day finally catching up to him.
It’s almost endearing how easily the other falls asleep. Scoffing, Jeongguk makes sure the pillow is under his head properly. He walks along the walls until he finds the right light switch, flipping it and dousing the room with shelter for the shadows. Its awkward, strolling across a strangers home to a bedroom that isn’t home — alone, at least.
Jeongguk gives one more glance over his shoulder before he disappears, shutting the door behind him and feeling for the bed. Once he’s found it, the man spends only a short amount of time tossing and turning before he falls asleep with sore eyes.
Summary: He is the definition of high class smart ass, swimming in Dom Pierre Pérignon champagne and has never seen the shadow of poverty. She is underprivileged, lives in a messy dorm room on sale and struggles working as an assistant after being thrown out of college. But how will they collide when Luke makes Y/N pregnant after a drunkenly one night stand
When We Collide on Wattpad
“How many bags do you think we will need?” You looked over your shoulder when asking the question and glanced over at Luke.
“It’s only one baby? I doubt you’re carrying triplets.” He asked back not catching up with what was going on inside of your head.
You looked down at the large Adidas bag Luke had found from his closet. It was old you could tell but it would be the perfect thing for bringing to the hospital.
“What’s wrong with more bags?” You looked at him sincerely confused and afterwards looked down at the fabric in your hands.
It was a small light purple body stocking that was probably too large for her size but you still decided to bring it along.
“I think it will be perfectly just fine just bringing one.” He took the body stocking out of your hand and placed it into the bag.
You looked at him whistling casually, deciding to put another one in just for having it.
The room looked quite like a mess. You couldn't recall a moment where it had been looking like this. Normally, Luke being the OCD type, he had everything in order. But with you crossing over the planning the place looked like a garbage field.
Except for the fact that all the stuff looked rather expensive.
You had been unsure of what to pack all morning. It was like no matter how many times you read through the baby books you had borrowed from the local library a few streets away nothing seemed to fully make sense.
Why did you need to bring this, and when it the world would you be able to use that when the only hint you needed to do was to be inside a hospital room for a day or two.
You had watched couples of YouTube videos of mothers sharing their experience. They seemed to have packed a whole lot of stuff without actually using it. Some, even said in the book, wasn't needed because the hospital also served everything.
You knew where to find the diapers and they also let out a lot of clothes to wear both before and after birth. You barely needed to bring clothes but thinking correct you knew you'd rather wear your own than white hospital gowns.
"Maybe it is a good idea to bring two bags." He suddenly questioned himself and scratched his rather invisible chin stubble.
"You know, if I'm supposed to stay there as well I need to change suits and stuff."
"You didn't want to question his attire for the hospital. You knew he always would wear his usual blazer and dress shirt when he had the ability. But bringing more than one just sounded weird.
"Why not just bring one?" You questioned and sat down on the bed to look over at him.
"And sweat through just one set without having anything to change? I don't think so." He mumbled and afterwards shook his head. You could tell there was no argument in this discussion.
"Why would you sweat it's not you giving birth?" You swung one leg over the other but it seemed harder than you had expected with the large bump.
"No but it's me who's going to witness you going through the pain." He sat down next to you and gently placed his hand to your cheek, "And I think it takes a whole man to get through something like that."
He gently caressed his thumb over the redness of your cheek. If you had worn foundation it would definitely had been smeared out but that only made it much more okay for him to do it. It was soothing and just a bit of a peaceful moment considering your inside stress.
"What if it overwhelms me?" You suddenly asked and he furrowed his eyebrows.
He wasn't sure what you were talking about so with a nod he encouraged you to continue.
"Like what if the is so hard I can't do it. I won't be able to press her out and in the end she suffers much more than I will. It's like, I believe the mental pain is much worse than the physical one. What if she just won't come out?"
"Well in that case I believe they will just use hospitalized methods. Y/N, don't believe you're the first one having these thoughts. I think many women have been going through complications that in the end have been solved. I don't believe there's anything to worry about."
He gave your cheek one last stroke before standing up from the bed and headed back to the dresser filled with baby clothes.
You looked at him with a soft side and eyes glided back to the floor. How had he become this person that always seemed to take your mind of the worst case scenarios thoughts.
"What if I'm in so much pain I end up tearing one of your dress shirts?" You asked seconds later and with that he looked up with wide eyes.
"That, won't, happen." He looked at you almost deadly and you couldn't help but hold in the laughter.
Jokes never seemed to kill the mood and you were happy you still remained that bit of amusement. If you had been all serious like you used to there would never be a moment where you could fully relax with him.
You could also tell when he joked because even if he was a director of acting business, he sucked big time when it came to it.
Or maybe it was just you being pretty good at seeing through stuff with him right away.
Sometimes he was like an open book to you. So easy to read and you could be so amazed to see his development from the first time you met him. Sometimes it was like you fully understood him as a person.
"You know Michael Clifford will show up any minute from now." He mentioned after a small moment of silent packing. The only thing that was filing in was the radio playing far away in the living room.
You looked up at him almost in disbelief, "You're kidding me, right?"
"Don't worry he won't treat you like an assistant. He's at your apartment now. There will be respect." He looked at you almost in a warning because he wanted to act respectful towards Michael even if it wasn't reversed.
If you had to look at that bleached blond haired guy one more time you were so sure you would freak. He was the most insensible person you had ever met and if you were going to listen to him ramble for hours without being able to leave you were so sure you would end up passing out.
"What is he doing here?" You asked and grabbed a hair tie to pull your hair into a pony tail.
It wasn't that you were sweating but it didn't take much for you to feel like the heat had turned into Egyptian style.
"He's coming because we are going to talk about business. After watching my movie he hasn't talked about anything else but building something new up." He explained and you furrowed your eyebrows.
"He wants us to collaborate and make a new movie. Better than the old ones, better than anything else."
Your eyebrows lifted by him explaining and you nodded your head silently. But then you looked at him with only one eyebrow lifted.
"Please tell me it doesn't contain my help as well?" You almost wanted to point a finger at him again but you were almost feeling weakened when he tried not to nod his head.
You could tell that it definitely included you.
"I thought you said I didn't need to attend any meetings anymore. I thought maternity meant actually staying at home not doing anything else but eating myself fat in chocolate and complain about back pains." You mumbled and threw the purple body stocking into the black Adidas bag.
"You can eat all the chocolate you want." He insisted and stood up from the bed, "You just have to do it while we discuss a new script for a new movie."
"I thought we said no meetings at home?" You asked one more time just hoping that he would quit it.
"It's not a meeting," He smiled gently, "It's two producers and a soon to be script writer talking about important stuff in life. There's nothing to worry about and if you're tired you can just leave."
You weren't fully convinced, in fact you just wanted to sit in here and pack instead. You had enjoyed planning the old movie with Luke but this was just going to something rushed if you had to sit down and come up with something right away.
You were too much of a perfectionist to do so. And if you had to work with Michael you weren't even sure if you would get the chance to accept each other's ideas.
"And he had to come today?" You asked and you looked down at the bag, "Couldn't he had showed up, I don't know, when I was sleeping or something."
Luke chuckled by your words and lifted up your chin to look at him. He didn't even open his mouth for you to know what he had to say, it was obvious in his face.
"Behave."
You rolled your eyes but accepted his word by nodding your head. He wasn't going to fully expect that you wouldn't fire off a sneaky comment or two but you would do it all with love. That was the only thing you could do with Michael because you couldn't really know if you actually liked his personality or if you truly hated him.
Not that it wasn't reversed feelings from his part.
You walked over and grabbed the last things you needed that were said in the book. So far you had basically followed everything it said but just leaving a few things behind.
You had also discussed with Luke what wasp preferred to bring and not. He agreed on a couple of things but just like you there were some things he didn't understand that you had to bring along. He believed that the things you needed to bring were something you truly believed would be used.
Not that it would be the end of the world if you forgot something. You could easily get someone to drive home and get it for you but you just felt that it was right to bring everything along at the same time.
You didn't want to feel that stressing feeling on a day where you already knew everything was going to be changed.
You were already sensing it. How everything seemed to be on the edge of something, that days from now it was going to change. You could feel that you were starting to become this new person and you knew right away from the birth that it was going to take action.
It was going to be different and you honestly couldn't wait for that change in your life. You needed it, you needed the feeling to become that better person.
Sleepless nights had also happened, you knew it was many reasons.
Stress, pain, kicks and what else. It was like everything was happening at once. She was also very happy to get outside of the box and into the thing you called the world.
You sipped the bag closed and took a small moment to take everything inside. Inside of your head a list of things was being crossed, you just needed to make sure there wasn't a single thing standing out.
"I think that was it." You mumbled, looking up at him with a small smile.
"I think that was it too. One less thing to think about before she is born." He reached is hand forward for you to take and you smiled politely. It wasn't always you could get the chance to stand up from something without a small bit of help.
You shut the lights in the room and followed him towards the living room. Papers were scattered on the dinner table, it was probably going to be used for when Michael showed up.
It didn't take long for the knocks to come from the door. In fact it was rapidly like someone was very desperate for the door to open but it was just being Michael who was very impatient.
You looked over at Luke who mouthed the word 'Behave' for the last time before settling with opening the door.
You were almost blinded by the bleach blond haired smiling boy stepping inside. In fact he seemed pretty pleased with everything around him even though he had waited five seconds for the door to be opened.
"Luke! The man I just wanted to talk to." He engulfed Luke in a hug that seemed almost like a bear hug, pulling him so close he almost squeezed all the air out of him.
"And the pregnant Holly hater. I've missed seeing your face." He almost wanted to engulf you as well but with Luke's arm being reached forward in front of your belly he made sure he wouldn't crush you.
"Always a pleasure to meet you Michael." You mumbled and stepped aside to let Luke and Michael walk into the living room and towards the dinner table.
You could already sense this wasn't something you were going to survive against.
"I've got all the papers and ideas I collected through the night. I haven't been able to think about anything else." Michael explained ever so happily and hurried towards the table. He seemed to excited.
"I'll just grab something for us to drink." You pointed towards the fridge and looked over at Luke.
You just wanted to do something to avoid sitting with them for longer than what you could last.
""Oh that's such a great idea, assist-,"
"Don't." Luke warned and looked over at Michael with wide eyes not wanting him to finish the sentence.
You looked over at Luke with a serious glare but he just shrugged it off. If you thought about it if was your own fault considering you wanted to bring them something but rather doing that than sitting discussing things.
You opened the fridge and leaned in to take some wine that was leftovers. You weren't sure if they actually wanted it but Luke had been sipping on it a few days before so it would be better just getting rid of it.
Besides, Michael looked like someone who could drink anything alcoholic.
You could hear their chats coming from the dinner table but your back was facing them. You were carefully filling glasses of wine as you looked outside to the balcony where dark clouds were covering the New York City.
It wasn't one of those days with sunny bright lights. It was dark and cold, but the fireplace inside seemed to take away the otherwise sad tones of color.
But what suddenly caught your attention made your eyebrows furrow. At first you weren't sure you actually saw what you did but after spilling wine on the table you realized something had in fact stolen your attention.
It was a shadow of a guy hiding between one of the fake bushes being by the pool. It wasn't obvious at first but when you were so sure you had eye contact with him it was the second you spilled on the kitchen counter.
"Crap." You mumbled almost embarrassed, shaking your head in disbelief by your clumsy move.
"What are you doing?" Luke asked with furrowed eyebrows but you shrugged it off.
"Nothing." You shook your head and looked back outside. There was nothing to see and when you thought about it, it was impossible. It was just a part of your imagination.
"I'm just messing around with the wine." You shrugged and used a cloth to clean the spots you had made.
"I hope it's not a Don Perignon." Michael mumbled with wide eyes and looked down at the table like it was none of his business.
Luke gave him a shoulder puff with a glare and smiled gently when you placed the glasses onto the table in front of them. You went with just a glass of water with some lemon because drinking soda wasn't really something you were into at the moment.
"Chocolate?" You asked after finding a large piece of Marabou and looked at Michael with inviting eyes.
"Oh, no no I need to watch my weight." He gave you glanced eyes, almost if he was giving you the elevator look. You were pregnant for god sake, of course you had gained a few pounds here and there.
You didn't just put one piece in your mouth but four and sat down on the chair. You knew you were only provoking but to be honest it was rather amusing.
Luke just settled with rolling his eyes. He almost didn't want to be a part of the small rival between you. As long as you didn't tear each other's throats out it would be alright and manageable.
"So what were you thinking? Something in the dramatic turn, something in the science fiction or something way out of the ordinary?" Luke asked after seconds of silence and most importantly looked at Michael. He was the one bringing the ideas after all.
"I've got so many things going on you'd think I'm crazy." He opened the papers and placed it in front of you. Good idea you were sitting on Luke's side of the table.
Everything else would have been weird. Besides, you were only able to sit by the edge of the table with your large belly to not sit in the way for anyone else.
"I've been building up some characters but of course I know we don't always agree on that part." He explained and showed Luke the list of names he had written down. Some with small words to illustrate their personality.
"Seems like something interesting." Luke nodded his head and scanned the paper.
You glanced over at the papers as well but your head was somewhere else. If they had to do something insane, if they had to do something where everyone would be talking about it they needed to do something exciting.
Sometimes it took something way out of the league to get someone's attention. Sometimes it was just doing the ordinary but you felt if they needed to do something wild they needed to put two minds together.
""Have you considered continuing the storyline of Julia and Adam?"
Your question seemed to grab both their eyes. They looked at you with curious expressions, Luke even furrowed his eyebrows.
"Or even better. Made a collision of the two movies you have produced. Mixing Shadow Self with Julia and Adam might be the one thing that everyone is looking for. It's something different. It's not something that everyone expect and since both movies have been so hyped it would be so wild to let the stories continue. Let the script and characters develop even more."
Silence fell upon the living room in a way you hadn't tried out before. You weren't sure if you were supposed to continue or not because Michael almost looked at you like you were some sort of ghost.
Luke wasn't the one to read as well, he was staring at you with a small mine on his face trying to come up with an answer you couldn't predict.
"It's… Beautiful." Michael almost looked amazed and moved his hand in front of his face to illustrate.
"i can see it, I can almost taste it on my lips. It's brilliant!" He almost knocked down the chair in process and fisted his hand together in excitement. Now, his mind was finally rolling onto the right board.
"Y/N, you're a genius." He preached and shook your hand repeatedly.
"Luke, we need to brainstorm the ideas right away." He explained and hammered his fist onto the dinner table to get the blond haired boy's attention.
You looked at Luke with a small smile playing on his face and when he made a blink in the right eye you could tell this was what he had expected all along. That you would be the key to something real once again.
You smiled gently and stood up from your chair deciding to throw out the chocolate paper. You knew this was their part, it was their turn to turn it into something exciting just by the simple idea.
Michael was almost too caught up to do anything else but ramble about the ideas he was developing, Luke decided to stand up and walk with you as well.
"I think he's starting to like you." He smiled and watched you take the trash out from the cabinet it was put into.
"Me, or my brain?" You blinked back and grabbed the back to tie a knot. Normally it was Patrick doing this kind of stuff but you had decided to give him a day off for the weekend. It was needed and he deserved it.
"Just let it stay until Patrick gets back at Monday." He carefully grabbed your hand from lifting up the garbage bag.
"No, it's okay. It's only going to stink and rotten if we don't throw it out." You smiled gently and moved his hand away from your arm. He could be so overprotective at times but nothing would happen taking out the trash.
"Go talk to Michael instead. I'm sure he has a lot of ideas to share with you." You nodded your head towards him insisting and it was with a small side Luke turned around and left back to the table.
You carefully threw the bag over your shoulder and took the small steps towards the door to leave and walk out with the trash. The hospital wanted you to take walks so it was fine doing this, but not more than that.
Luke watched your shadow disappear out of the door and looked back at Michael with crossed arms.
"She doesn't seem like it but I think she will turn into something big. She just need to spread her flowers." He explained and Luke nodded his head in agreement.
His eyes focused back on the papers and for minutes they talked about everything they possibly could. Shared their ideas, build up a prominent story line they could use and build out from. It was the way you started a story the best and finding quotes to make sure it would already get interesting.
Two brains together were always better than one alone. It meant that they could get different perspectives and when you would come back it would also turn into something real.
It was like putting a cherry on the top of the muffin.
But as minutes had passed by Luke was starting to grow nervous. In fact he was tapping harshly against the floor it almost vibrated in the rest of the apartment.
"How long does it take to take out the trash?" Michael asked, a curious expression coming to his face.
"She's pregnant, sometimes she walks slow." Luke tried to make the words seem like the explanation but he couldn't help but believing something else.
He knew your phone was one the counter so you hadn't brought it along. He figured out when he had tried to call it, sensing it would be vibrating on the marble surface.
"Maybe she went out shopping. Girls like that." Michael suggested but Luke shook his head.
"Y/N doesn't. She isn't just a girl. She's much more than that." He stood up from the chair and ran a hand through his hair carefully.
There wasn't time to panic.
He was looking over at the door sincerely hoping that it would just open. That you would suddenly show up out of breath claiming that something happened and garbage had fallen out everywhere which you needed to clean.
But it didn't.
He was sure almost thirty minutes had passed by and if it wasn't for the fact his phone vibrated so loud on the dinner table he wouldn't have heard it or gotten a heart attack.
He picked it up so fast he almost couldn't speak without swallowing thickly, blinking at least ten times before saying anything.
"Hello?" He looked outside at the sky that had turned pitch dark, feeling his knees ready to shake.
The caller I.D was Unknown, he wasn't even sure if it was you.
"I told you I always got my revenge." A male voice spoke back into the phone, not something Luke could recognize.
"Bring me your diamonds and you'll get back your girl."
Luke looked down at Michael, who clearly could hear what was being said in the phone, his eyes staring outside as well to see a black hoodie climb down from the balcony right by the second.
"Because we just committed a kidnapping. Save your child and your girl if you want, it's all up to you Luke Robert Hemmings."
