Besides Yua, anybody there got healing skills?
Mun: Trance is actually Yua’s …. apprentice/student in free form healing magic. Healers (those who can use free form magic to heal) are really rare on Cephorim, there’s only a handful or so of them, and they’re actually feared. For the most part. Healers are the only ones who can breech a Core’s natural defense and use magic inside someone’s body. Which is what they do for healing of course, but it can also be used to break things. They were a terror on the battlefield, and such events in the long past have given them a bad reputation. Trance doesn’t get too much flak for it though X’D he’s too much of a muffin for people to be scared of him. Yua on the other hand |D She milks it sometimes when she needs to, because rumor is all she has for defense. She has no elemental magic at all, and therefore has no offensive magic either. And she never learned martial arts or anything else like that. She’s a defenseless little kitten that’s all bark and very little bite. |D
As for others in LoFT, both Harlow and Falin (and all other Angels) know healing magic through scripts and song. There are other royal Healers on Cephorim too. Like Hanadim, who serves Tanya. But I haven’t RPed them at all yet really.
For TL there’s Emi and the other Guardian Angels. Basic script healing is part of their training as kids, though some learn more than others. Emi is one of the few that actually knows dark magic healing, and he just learned that in recent years to be able to help out Mavis and the others from Devii Ral who are immune or resistant to other healing.
Uhhhhh….. *looks up skills * Ahmeh’to knows a self heal called First Aid 8′D but that’s it |D
Other than that I can’t remember anyone else that has healing magic e,e
Edit: Oops, I forgot about Charlatan X’D My new DnD girl. She’s a Bard and has a couple healing skills. That’s not her real name, but it’s a secret BD
I found a fun pose and wanted to draw it, and Na picked the charas that fit it XD Sabrina and Jeran. They do end up as a couple waaaay later int he story.
Sabrina -> @nabaart
it's interesting how much faster art is when I stop trying to be a perfectionist about everything
I totally forgot I hadn't posted this yet X'DDD
Trying to get better at/actually do some .... background designs? environment concepts? whatever they're called.
This it the living room of the underwater palace in Airius. Aka Trance's home. It was originally an indoor pond, but they replaced the water with seats because none of the public go down there anymore. The walls are made of blue, and white marble, and there's little strips of lights all along the bottom of the walls for nightlight.
Part 1 | Part 2 | Part 3 | Part 4 | Part 5 | Part 6
The main group of soldiers who work closely with the Airius royal family.
Jeran - The youngest of Trance's bodyguards, and most out spoken and slightly reckless. He's semi famous among the other soldiers for being able to blend fire and shadow magic seamlessly into a black flame.
Lenan - Jeran's older brother through Lenan's biological dad marrying Jeran's 3rd mom. Lenan is way more easy going and well behaved than Jeran, and only sometimes helps keep him in line. His calm demeanor and facial features are known to make kids sleepy around him.
Teal - Cearae's son, and the most responsible of Trance's bodyguards. He became a soldier with the goal of being able to work beside his dad, but after the accident Teal continues to protect the royal family on his dad's behalf.
Kevin - Ourin and Mauris' current bodyguard, and social anxiety in physical form. While he's working he's able to focus and stay calm, but any other situation leaves him stumbling over his words if he's able to speak at all. He often hides in Ourin's shadow because of this.
Eris - Lenma's personal bodyguard. She's the most level headed of the current elite soldiers, and has been much help in diffusing tense situations between people from Airius and those from other countries and worlds. The only thing that seems to get her flustered is her own romance life.
Saantus - Mathias' personal bodyguard. He excels easily at scholarly related endeavors, and soldier training because of his parents having high expectations. It was only after becoming Mathias' bodyguard that he learned it was okay to not meet everyone's expectations, and ended up becoming a little more chill. His hobbies are singing and learning to play all sorts of instruments.
Mixe - (mee-kay) Esaris' twin brother that went into military for a career since he prefers to be more active, but also wants to serve the royal family. He's currently the main teacher for other soldiers, having a strict schedule for most of the day, but also having a specific slot of time designated for "whatever the hell I feel like" to help the students get used to unpredictable situations.
Cearae - Teal's dad, and former bodyguard for Ourin and Mauris. While defending Ourin from an assassination attempt Cearae ended up paralyzed from the waist down, and cursed to reject any attempts to heal him.
I saw this one in my files again while opening other pics, and liked it enough still I figured I'd share for the heck of it.
Lil toddler Trance before he got lost to a different country.
Random culture fact: in Airius (his home country) only children who haven't mastered shifting forms will be seen with/are allowed to not wear pants.
Part 1 | Part 2 | Part 3 | Part 4 | Part 5 | Part 6
The royal families of two of the other nations in Cephorim. Dharma, and Diesis.
Dharma:
Dorin - the current ruler of Dharma. Very loud, loves to laugh and roughhouse. He didn't get along with Ourin at first, cracking Ourin's jaw after a dispute. But now he's quite fond of carrying Ourin around and harassing him like a little brother.
Mayla - Dorin's wife. She was originally part of a hunter/rancher family who had to learn politics when Dorin took a liking to her. She manages the household better than he does, and is well loved by the rest of the nation. She and Dorin had another daughter and son other than those shown, who were both assassinated.
Maeda - Dorin and Mayla's oldest daughter. She excels in the scholarly side of ruling the nation, and takes care of most of the bookkeeping. Her hobby is organizing and adding documents to the library, so she's not often seen outside the building.
Tika - Dorin and Mayla's third child. Tika is the main one who interacts with the general population other than Dorin. She's very outgoing, easy to talk to, and often caught wrestling with the citizens.
Hani - The 4th child, and most shy. She loves botany, and mainly helps take care of the agricultural oriented side of the nation. Though she usually has to get help from her sisters with talking to others.
Tara - Dharma's royal Healer, a position Dorin created after seeing what a benefit Yua was for Airius. Tara isn't as reluctant to people being afraid of her as Yua and Trance are, so she'll sometimes tease her patients by making her skills look even more unexplainable than usual. Most people have learned by now she's fairly harmless.
Diesis:
Tanya - the current ruler of Diesis, and the oldest of the five. She's often described as being like metal jewelry: pretty yet somewhat cold and unmovable. Losing three children to assassins, and almost losing a 4th has left her somewhat weary and difficult to work with. She also did not get along with Ourin at first, but now has a begrudging fondness of him, like a weird step child.
Scheris - Tanya's husband, and the soft downy feather counterpart to Tanya's talons. Scheris was the only one brave enough to attempt to date Tanya, and he was lucky he grew on her enough to be willing to marry him. He's now the only one who can instantly calm and comfort her when she gets stressed.
Sayly - the youngest of the royal children. Cheza's situation, combined with losing her siblings has left her angry and bitter. She fights with her mom a lot, and spends more time with the citizens than at home. Scheris is the only one she'll listen to.
Chezarim - the 3rd child of Tanya and Scheris, he ended up in a coma for 7 years because of the Fate part of his life being severely damaged. His health is still very fragile, but he's developed a bit of a sense of humor to help himself and others around him deal with things.
Part 1 | Part 2 | Part 3 | Part 4 | Part 5 | Part 6
Some of the characters who are part of the LoFT story, but most of them were originally from a world other than Cephorim or Aria.
Devin - Born a slave to magic users on the world Lendera, Devin helped his father and other rebellion members end up destroying their world. He got picked up by Cheren, and almost became a corrupted being called a Forsaken. But after meeting Ourin and Uran they convinced him to want to live a better life, and after 20 years of prison he became a worker at the Aria castle nursery.
Korim - the only Cephorim native of this group, he was born in Diesis, but a birth defect in his brain caused him to have trouble keeping memories. This led him to becoming a stray who Max adopted after he tried to steal food from Max. Yua and Amalia (the best Healer of Aria) were able to fix his brain, so now he can remember things slightly better than average.
Max - An average chef from the world Elvera. Max somehow didn't die when his world did, and ended up on Lakaur instead. While there he was the first to find Trance and take the boy in. When Lakaur inevitably ended, Euridice sent him to Trance's world instead of condemning him to die with that world.
Hontep - one of the people kidnapped from her world to Lakaur. She's originally a priestess soldier for the goddess Hal-El, but after being in Lakaur she grew attached to the people and more advanced way of life. This led her to following Sephos back to his world.
Makena - A test tube soldier from a world that was fighting a war for so long it forgot what the reason for the war was, and became unable to conceptualize any form of peace. He was also kidnapped to Lakaur, and after others found out what his home world was like they refused to let him go back. Not that he wanted to either. He ends up joining Hontep to live with Sephos.
Sephos - One of the 3 guild leaders that helped manage Lakaur. He's a little spoiled, and became known as the resident wine aunt without the wine with the way he treated everyone. He claims Makena and Hontep as his children for the sole reason of giving his mother grandchildren.
Vare - One of the original inhabitants of one of the pieces of the worlds that made up Lakaur. An explosives expert, she's one of the 3 guild leaders, and was known as the resident menace. Being unable to escape dying with Lakaur, she ended up marrying Uran partially because she thought he was cute, but also just so she could have the experience of having been married before she died.
Euridice - The guardian of Lakaur, who was the one responsible for kidnapping people to the world. Her goal was to create a method to distribute the rest of Lakaur's Energy to other worlds who needed it, but the injury that took her arm also damaged her mind, making her methods less than ideal. She also did not survive Lakaur's end, but managed to send everyone still alive back to their original homes (with some exceptions going to someone else's world) before she and Lakaur died.
