So, can/do the cephoss's ever fall in love with other being's?
They certainly can :) It’s a rare occurrence but they’re open to it. They’re very kind demons so they will happily reciprocate feelings for someone else but the other person will have to initiate it first otherwise a cephoss’ first instinct is to just move on with their day onto the next person~
Hi. Awesome artstyle btw. I was just wondering, if Cerphoss (hope I spelt that right) can'tbreed with each other how do they reproduce? Or does Sarroff just makes more if needed?
Thank you kindly! The cephoss breed by budding off tentacles that form into a new individual (like how starfish do). However the tentacles need external DNA to actually start developing which is why they’re so bent on partnering up with whatever’s willing to have them. Doesn’t matter the species, so long as there’s DNA for them to collect, whether that be from biological fluids or even something like skin - as such, the biological sex of their partner doesn’t matter. Now even though they can technically just take whatever they want from whoever, they’re honestly just too nice of a race to do that and would prefer to offer their services in exchange.
When they get the DNA they need, they pick a tentacle to pop off and it becomes a new baby bean :) Eventually, they find a skull to live in to protect their squishy bodies~

When cephoss speak to each other, it’s mostly just wet, squishy noises they make with their tentacles or clicks from their squid-like beaks. It’s pretty much unintelligible to anyone else. Otherwise they “speak” using touch and they’re very sensitive to even the smallest of movements.
When they converse with other races, they actually use a bit of magic! I mentioned a long time ago that to cast magic, one must conjure a ring (the pentagram floating thing). By writing different symbols in it, you can cast all sorts of stuff. Cephoss happen to be one of the best users of speech magic - they can “speak” into the ring and what comes out is fully translated for the listener regardless of who or what they are. It works backwards as well so the cephoss can understand their partner~

Does the ring work if multiple people are in the same room of different languages? Would they have to say it only once and everybody understands it or would they have to see it for each translation?
The ring would basically act as an all around translator. So long as it is up, the listener can fully understand whoever’s talking even if there’s a group. It might get a bit overbearing with so many people but it’s still understandable. If the listener speaks, then those in the room would hear them in their own language. But, they wouldn’t hear multiple translations that others would be hearing - just only that of their native tongue.
The handy thing about being a cephoss is the the fact that they’re able to do this at all. Other races would actually have a pretty hard time managing so many languages at once but the cephoss are trained very early in life to be able to handle it.
Ok but now here is the question. What about cephoss as pets? They look so adorable. Is there a way to keep on as a pet?
Maybe :p They’re sentient so they might not necessarily want to be someone’s pet but of course, I’m sure there might be some who would be into that VoV
They have no problem hanging around people so if you summon one, you could ask it to room with you. Just be sure to keep a nice tub of water around so they don’t dry out and they require quite a bit of social interaction ^^
And if the partner likes it super rough with the cephoss?
All they gotta do is let ‘em know :p Cephoss are always happy to oblige whatever kink or preference their partner likes if they’re able to~
