#glazegeek warning: I have been testing this fabulously drippy glaze combo for months. I love the chemistry of it. Yellow is not a strong glaze color. Any cobalt (blue) that touches it will change the yellow to blue. But crystalline formations love cobalt. They grab all the cobalt molecules they can get and lock them tightly in the crystalline formations. So a blue crystalline glaze, with just enough cobalt for the crystalline formations, won’t change the yellow glaze to blue as it runs over the top. Although it does soften this bright yellow dramatically. . This is a shot glass, by the way. Just tall enough to get the glaze moving, but not too fast. I would not be able to get this kind of flow to stop on a 9 inch vase.
