Heavy, sealed crates had been delivered to the empty section of the old factory that housed Stigmata Studios for the last week, moved within almost as soon as they’d arrived. Each box was moved within by a shrouded figure, with little more than a hand truck to aid them.
The sounds of shuffling, sawing, muted hammering; the scents of paint, old paper, gunpowder, and metal carried over to the studio in the course of work and appointments.
An “arms dealer” was the consensus regarding the shopkeep’s trade.
The Merchant had managed to barter for a license, some tools, and a plot to grow reagents he needed to rebuild his collection… along with much needed capital to restart from scratch.
All things considered, the allowance was very generous.
