Justine Triet and Sandra Hüller at the 49th Cesar Awards in Paris, France (Feb. 23, 2024)
Roman Polanski & Romy Schneider, The Cesar Awards 1980.
Été 85 (2020)
A queen.
Just thinking about how Adèle Haenel is going to get attacked and criticized for walking out of the césars
Even if artists should be separated from their work, giving Polanski the césar of best production is like condoning what he did, and that’s all kind of wrong
I feel sick right now, after everything Adèle went through and all the issues with this man, the Academy’s choice is so so wrong, I can’t even understand how they could think that this award wouldn’t trigger a bomb
I’m so disappointed and I know that a lot of people do too, but now I’m sad that people are juste going to jump on Haenel’s back to criticize her.
So so disappointed
"Le monde du cinéma d’hier doit mourir. On ne peut pas construire à partir de cette médiocrité. Le cinéma, ce n’est pas les César : cette cérémonie était médiocre et déprimante. Il faut bâtir autrement." Juliette Binoche

Tonight, because of the Césars, I feel sick being French. I am ashamed that someone like Roman Polanski is awarded. This whole thing is just wrong and I feel so sorry for Adèle Haenel.
