I guess whirr did something stupid on twitter and now they are getting bashed for it, i find this whole thing pretty dumb because it's going to be one of those things i'm going to be seeing for months. like look, yes what they said was transiphobic, it was a dick mnove on their part but then again they love to start drama. it's how they've always been, i see them as the anti-TWIABPAINLATD in the sense that they are asshats. but i'm sick of people censoring artists over petty bullshit like some stupid beef that indie bands like to create. ok maybe this post isn't 100% about the whirr/gloss incident, I just hate the idea that people take the bullshit artists say outside of their work so seriously and then equate it to the art itself. the idea censorship has gotten to the point that you can't be an asshole for the sake of being an asshole, rappers do it all the time. kanye west and tupac for example are/were shitty people in real life yet we accept their art anyways. i'm tired and rambiling but >Tl:Dr, just because the artist is a shitty person doesn't mean you have to CENSOR THEIR FUCKING ART. especially when it comes to a stupid comment from one small time band to another, you can't be an artist without controversy, Whirr did it wrong in this sense, i mean can you name any artist that isn't contraversial to soem degree? and that also going for making the "victim" of the moronic acts maytars. it celebtrates victimhood instead of the artist's merit Tl:Dr x2 Whitt did a shitty thing, they deserve to be scorned but not censored. censorship is a worse crime then being an insensitive idiot
