Out this week: Midnight Tiger: Origins (CEX, $29.99): 

The first adventures of Ray-Anthony Height’s teenage vigilante get collected, courtesy of CEX Publishing and a crowdfunding campaign. Midnight Tiger was originally published by Action Lab, so it’s good to see that Height must own the rights to it, given the legal actions other creators are having to take against the company. Height said on social media he plans to launch an ongoing Midnight Tiger series next year, so check this out if you’re interested in indie superheroes.

In 2018, I was contracted to do this short comic series, Charlie's Spot, and it was right around the time that my dad was diagnosed with stage 4 cancer. I started the series after he passed and I designed Charlie after him, which made working on the pages really difficult at first. It was one of my very first comic gigs and it was really hard knowing that he wouldn't be around to see it. Anway, here is a one-page tribute I made for the kickstarter release of issue #1.
