With the previous post about me graduating in CFC - Singles For Christ, there must be someone out there who helped me be where I stand today. Remember how I mentioned earlier that a friend encouraged me to join the community? Well, that friend is this guy standing next to me, Jeremy. He’s my best friend and we’ve been close ever since! I have to say, crush ko sya since day one. He was one of the chapter head in YFC when I joined and had my entry camp. And now, he led the Christian Life Program in Singles For Christ. As many people believed, he is indeed born to lead and he is my biggest challenge. He’s too far fetched for someone like me, I’m way too ordinary for this guy.
He must be very significant for me to write a whole post about him. Well he’s far more significant because he’s an inspiration not only to me but many people in the community. I’ve seen people look at him, the way people to talk to him and the way people cherishes him. As I said, he’s the one who brought me into the community and he’s always been there for me since day one. His faith radiates all over the place during worship and his passion shows through his eyes. He brings people to tears whenever he leads the worship some even on their knees and in this generation, a guy like him barely exists and I am honoured to have met him.
I have anxiety attacks whenever I’m around too many people but because of this best friend of mine, he showed me that not everyone on this earth will judge everything that you do. He made me see that nothing matters as long as your intentions are clear, you have nothing to worry about as long as you lift it all to God and put him in the centre of your life and the rest will follow. He taught me to love myself and to see that I am God’s creation and I am loved dearly by Him. Having someone to encourage me the way he did is very moving because, at the end of the day, life can always get the best of us but because we have people like him, we are able to pull.
During praise and worships, I would take a glimpse of him and whatever he may be doing, leading the worship or playing the guitar (whatever kind it may be because he can play them all, yes he is multi-talented like that) you can see passion and devotion all over his facial expression and body language. I know I should be reflecting but sometimes, you just see the devotion of people around you and that fires up the soul within you knowing that you are surrounded by his soldiers. For me, my heart and soul rejoice, my whole body feels warm and I feel so much LOVE and the next thing I know, I’m reaching out in the air praising and worshiping with everything that I have within me. My journey towards Christ has been very special because of Jeremy. He’s the best bestfriend I could ever be blessed with. As being the bestfriend as I am, I’ve seen the struggle he went through the duration of thirteen weeks and not to mention the National Conference fast approaching this September, he’s been tested in any ways I could think of and because his faith is just strong, he was able to pull through even in the brink of breaking down. I look up to him and remember him during my hardest battles and because he’s my best friend, he prays for me and helps me to the best of his abilities. He’s just truly an angel.
In the community we have this thing called GG or God’s Gift. Revelation here is that Jeremy is my GG, one of the best indeed. In other words, he’s my other half, my boyfriend and my palangga. I certainly consider myself to be very lucky to have him as my bestfriend. He’s my guiding angel in every step of the way and he keeps me grounded. The best part of this for me is that now that I am an official Singles For Christ, I can now serve our Lord Jesus Christ with my GG.
And with that, may God be praised <3
